“Loved this place. We were surprised by the lentil soup and baklava that came with the meal. Such a nice touch and both were delicious. My favorite baklava I've ever had! Not too sticky and sweet, it was flaky and nutty. I would go for just that. Our entrees were delicious but honestly the flavorful rice was one of my favorite parts! Some of the best rice I've ever had. The service was good and they were all so kind. The inside is basic, but it doesn't matter because the food is good!“

“Delicious fresh Mediterranean Food!!! I have been here about 5 times now and everytime I am satisfied. The first menu Item I tried was the Chicken&Rice plate with they're spicy urban sauce that is very good! Today I decided to have the Urban Green Salad w/dressing that comes with it and was like everything else, fresh and delicious!“

“Decided to give it a try and did not disappoint. Such a good price for how amazing the food was. I was told 10 minutes, 10 minutes later as I was about to exit my car, one of the workers walked out in the rain to hand me my food. Amazing food and amazing service:)“

“This place is so beautifully decorated inside. It definitely will "Wow" you! The food will too... I really enjoyed their beef & lamb lavish wrap and hummus; though, their traditional baklava was a little too sweet, I liked their chocolate baklava - it was a fun new take on baklava. Next time I'm here, I'm trying the Greek dip - love to try something new. Definitely, one of the best Mediterranean places to eat around the Galleria Mall in Roseville.“

“Great spot, good food, decent prices, super quick service. This spot is next to my work and I have been curious about it and was in the mood for something different, this place nailed it. I went with the butter chicken, hefty helping served over rice with a decent size side salad for like $11. I ate about half of it and will be eating the other half for dinner, fully recommend this spot.“

“We looked this place up on yelp and looked pretty new. So we decided to try it out. This place is being run by a great hardworking couple. We tried their Chicken Plate, Chicken Shawarma meal combo with Greek Salad. Combination Philly, and Falafel Deluxe Wrap. The food was awesome and it was ready pretty quick. The service was very friendly and inviting. The restaurant ambiance is casual and the setup is good. Oh, not to forget, you can check-in on yelp and get a free Baklava. This place is a hidden gem and will be our go to spot from now on in downtown Sacramento.“

“Everything I've tried here is fantastic. They give you very generous portions for a great price! Super nice people who own and run it. Even after moving farther away we still drive to get it! All their hummus flavors are delicious, such a cute hidden gem!“

“We stopped in for dinner as I finished a workout at the next door Planet Fitness and was drawn by the beautiful patio. Too chilly to sit outside, we diner indoors and enjoyed the incredibly eclectic decor as we reviewed the menu. We both chose a platter, me chicken, my friend lamb. They started with an incredible lentil soup. I dove in before I thought to get a good photo. It was really flavorful and creamy. The waitress said the appetizer was whatever the chef decided and we each got an interesting variety, all of it was very good. Entrees were plentiful and did not disappoint. We left satisfied, stuffed, and with enough food for 2 more meals. Highly recommend Sumer Nights. My one observation, the elevator music kills the vibe. It definitely isn't it. We would have enjoyed something more appropriate to the menu. Overall, great find!“

“Went for their grand opening tonight and we are very glad we did!! The staff are super friendly, and very attentive. George the owner, came out to see if we enjoyed our meal and let us try his fantastic hummus and pita bread - both hot and fresh! And honey baklava ,very yummy. I got the beef and lamb gyro, so delish and I’m very picky about my gyros, this was the real deal! My husband got the kabob plate and I about ate all the salad off of his plate! So delicious and very very yummy!! Falafel were fresh and hot! Perfect! We’ll be back again soon!!“

“I usually don't come into a place 15 mins before they close but I did tonight and I really appreciate that they didn't seem put out about it. I was somewhat familiar with what I wanted and the guy at the counter patiently answered my questions. Very good food and very good service.“

“I eat here a couple times a month and always order the chicken patter with a side of hot sauce. Owner is really nice and doesn't rush the food. Best to call ahead since staff is small and can get backed up with orders. Wish they would give more Naan bread with order, since it's very tasty bread. In my opinion, better than falafel corner and Petra Greek. I'll be back for sure!“

“This is my husband's go to spot whenever he goes into the office. He always raves about their gyro salad, so I had to try for myself. Upon ordering, service was super quick! If you're in a pickle of time and want something delicious and hearty--this place is the way to go. We ordered their salad! Initial thought of their salad was that it was huge! I really thought I wouldn't be able to finish it, but I did. It was that good. The blend of flavors really meshes well, and it doesn't leave you feeling to bleh at the end. A right amount of everything. The tzatziki sauce was a great touch to the vinaigrette dressing. A little on the pricier side, but still think it's worth it.“

“I wanted to try authentic, traditional Palestinian food to show my solidarity with their people's struggle for freedom. I was visiting my sister in Sacramento, and she recommended Basha Taste of Jerusalem. They start you off with complimentary fresh baked flat bread and olive oil which tasted divine! We ordered the "Mansaf" lamb and chicken dish, and the "Maqluba" upside-down chicken and rice dish. It was absolutely phenomenal! The portions are very generous and we had lots of left overs to-go that tasted just as great the next day. I loved the interior décor and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town to try more dishes that are not common at generic "Middle Eastern / Mediterranean" restaurants.“

“This is a surprising little gem located in an office building! It's not really a restaurant you order things and then you take it to a park or back to your office or home. Their menu has so many great choices there are breakfast items, coffees, smoothies, wraps, paninis, salads and vegetarian and vegan options. Breakfast and lunch choices. I got the pesto chicken panini and he put some sauce that he made on it and it was absolutely delicious. Very friendly people who make the food and are the owners. I don't work in this building but it is worth a trip!“

“Fast and fresh. I was amazed on how every ingredient was fresh and delicious. Salad was very crispy and the kabobs were grilled with just a slight char. The little things such as olives, side sauces and a lemon wedge reflects the restaurant going above and beyond to make your meal complete. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“I wish I would have taken pictures of my food but I doubt they would have done this review any justice. I ordered the chicken gyro, chicken Philly and a lamb/steak Philly via phone call and the person (male) taking the order was pleasant and articulate enough to understand him. He repeated the order back to me twice and asked if I wanted to make my food spicy and then made sure he had it down right and gave me an estimated wait time of 15. I got there 20 minutes later and my food was ready and I was immediately welcomed with a smile and a courteous “hi, are you here for pickup? “. I’m so surprised the place was empty and I was a bit scared that maybe it wasn’t a good sign but when I went in the car and opened my food I was pleased at how big my portions were meaning there was plenty of meat and chicken on my gyro so I know I wasn’t being ripped off like in other places where they give you 5 pieces of lamb or steak for the amount you pay . The food is extremely affordable compared to other afghan/ gyro places and the meat given is soooo much more compared to others too. My husband and I took a big bite and we couldn’t stop eating even after being full. The food was so good; the chicken was so juicy and full of flavor and it tasted fresh. I also need to clarify that the “juicy” part of the meals had nothing to do with grease or too much left over oil this place really knows how to make their food so delicious without feeling like you bit into straight up oil. I did not have any stomach issues after eating and it definitely wasn’t salty so I’d recommend this place to people with sodium restrictions. The two gentlemen went above and beyond from the first call all the way til my food was given to me with a smile. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving a “middle eastern” food item and for welcoming service. I do have ONE complaint and that is their parking availability, the entrance is tight and there is limited parking so I can see how this would be difficult to visit during rush hour times. Do try this place out!Dietary restrictions: Low sodium, customizable options“

“Crest Cafe is my go to place to eat. I work a couple of blocks away and although there are other Mediterranean restaurants around, Crest is the best, hands down. They have not only EXCELLENT food, but great customer service. Emol and Shabnam are especially kind and helpful every visit. My two favorite dishes are the beef shawarma plate and the Mediterranean bowl. I always get a side of garlic sauce and sumac to put on top (not that it needs it). I also love their vinegarette dressing for their salads! Something about it is sooo addicting - I could drink it. Something else they offer that I usually get once a week(not lately because of COVID), is their buffet. Their buffet is delicious with plenty of options! You have the salad bar, different rices, chicken, meatballs, veggie mix, samosas, etc. You can’t go wrong with it, and it’s an unbeatable price!! I have nothing negative to say about this place. The food is wonderful and tasty...in fact I had it for lunch yesterday AND today! I highly recommend Crest Cafe!!“

“Most amazing Gyro i've ever had... Tender tasty meat lots of produce amazing garlic yogurt sauce with a fresh pita. Much much bigger than any yro i've had and much better, too. I got the combo with the salad and drink. It came out to $16 which is about the same price as a big Mac meal. But much healthier and tastier. The salad was phenomenal, and there were lots of fresh produce cucumbers. Tomatoes, onion's lettuce with great sauce and big portions.“

“Okay...so I have been hearing about this place called Nick The Greek and I love Mediterranean food AND as it so happens, one opened right around the corner of my home. It is located on the corner near Sunrise and Madison in Fair Oaks. The manager (Alexis) was very helpful with choices and made my experience most enjoyable. The food was outstanding(I had the Lamb/Beef wrap and my wife had the Chicken wrap) both equally delicious. The service was on spot on and the people were friendly. It has indoor and outdoor seating. So, if you are in the area and hungry for some excellent Greek food. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed.“

“I randomly ordered Persian food from DoorDash one day while I was in the office because I was craving it and I fell in love with it! Family is in town from Italy and I decided to take them to eat Persian food and check this restaurant and it was an absolute success! Amazing cozy, elegant place, easy to find parking, the restaurant is busy on a Friday night until late and that makes me feel comfortable going out for a dinner with family or friends. The restaurant can easily accommodate a party of 10 without splitting the tables like many places do. Definitely coming back and definitely will DoorDash it for my office lunch.“

“The service was great and the guy helping me order was super nice and helpful when I picked my order. I got the mixed fries with lamb and chicken. The chicken is slightly spicy because it's marinated in some red spicy sauce. The lamb and chicken were both super moist and really nice. The sauces on top were super good and even though the sauce was all over, the fries weren't soggy and still crisp. I eat a lot and I barely finished the fries. You could easily feed two with one fry order. (I took the picture after I had already taken some bites, it looked a lot prettier than this)“

“Found this little gem today. Was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of food. Ordered a "plate" with gyro as the main dish. The plate included gyro, rice (choice of 3 kinds - they suggested some of each - turned out to be a great choice), salad, beans, there was a dressing on top. It was simply delicious!! Hot, quick and the service was wonderful. Did I say the service was great! They have a nice selection of baklava or other desserts. Simple surroundings. Highly recommend ..“

“Little place that mostly does delivery and hall rental plus catering. The staff mostly are Muslim, but I think they might be Afghan, because they knew little English, and didn't respond well to Arabic, French, Persian, or Greek. Dine-in was very limited, but the food was great. It mostly Greek, Arabic, and Mediterranean in substance. Probably hallal, but I didn't see that explicitly stated anywhere.Great food, not up to serving diners on site. We had to ask to get water, and they gave us bottled water. We ordered tea and had to ask for it several times. Still nice people, just very limited English. Moderately recommend. Order ahead, and get the food to go. Don't eat on site.“

“My family and I have been going to Anatolian Table for many years now. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the area! The food is spectacular and the service is amazing. The owner is very kind and always takes the time to greet customers. Some of my all time favorite dishes are the filo pastry, spicy hummus, and adana kabob. Their meat is so well cooked and very tasty! They always fulfill any modifications I ask for. Their new location is beautiful and very spacious, as well. I just wish they were open for more hours so I could have it for lunch!(:“

“We each had a lamb/beef gyro that was delish: They cut the meat super thin. I’m used to a Greek salad being on a bed of lettuce, so was a little confused when the Greek salad we ordered was just the toppings, but it was still very good. To finish, we tried one of each dessert: the classic baklava was perfection with lots of cinnamon. The kataifi and chocolate baklava were a bit dry. Overall, would definitely return to Petra, but more likely than not would get it to go.“

“We were looking for an authentic Persian restaurant in the area and Kolbeh did not disappoint! My husband and I brought our 2 little ones with us which always makes me nervous in a fine dining situation but the staff was so friendly with us and kept the little ones entertained with the delicious bread basket while we waited for our food. We got the Soltani and Fesenjan with Bogoli Polo as the rice upgrade and it was DELICIOUS! I barely got to try the Koobideh because my 4 year old and 18 month old devoured it! The Barg was so tender and flavorful and by far my favorite! The Fesenjan was perfect and was completely gone by the end of our dish. The portion sizes are generous and the price is well worth the quality and flavor of the food. We will definitely be back!“

“I’m staying at a hotel nearby and decided to try this place. I got a falafel wrap and it was so DELICIOUS! The first bite I took had so many flavors. It is a good value for how much food you get. “Stopped by a couple months ago and finally getting around to making a post. I can't remember what I originally ordered, but it wasn't available and they offered an alternative which was the chicken kabob and I am glad they mentioned it because it was great. Also, the hookah and service were also decent and better priced than some other spots. Not to mention, the patio is a nice touch. I can tell this place garners some regulars too, which is a good sign to me. Definitely worth checking out and supporting this local business.“

“The food was nicely prepared and nicely presented. The service could not have been better. The decor was modern, comfortable and pleasing. My only quibble and hence the less than stellar ambiance score is with the music played during the entire meal. The thump, thump, thumping of the bass was unpleasant and could not be ignored. Not my idea of dinner music.“

“I think I've eaten at every Persian place in Sacramento by now, as well as a few of the Iraqi and Afghani places, and for sure there is a lot of great kabob and rice to be had at many of these places. I would rate Famous Kabob recently as one of the best. The Koubideh (ground beef) Kabob they serve is nicely cooked, tender, juicy, and the rice is always very good. I think I've been to this restaurant 6 or 7 times by now, and I'd say the quality has improved in the past couple of years. It's definitely a go-to when I need to place group orders for pickup.“

“I have wanted to try this place for years. Can't help but to notice it with the unique architecture. Located on the corner of Folsom and Bradshaw a local treasure. Decisions decisions.... decided for it being my first time to try the signature pita of course. Rice bowl and waffle fries (loaded) looked good too! I ordered the chicken pita. They have white or wheat pitas, and even vegan options on the menu. Veggies were all very fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my pita. The staff was all very friendly, and the lady packing my pita gave menu recommendations, too. I will be back. Don't be like me and just drive past for years. Stop in and have a bite. The outside/shopping center looks a bit run down as garbage all out especially near the liquor store. But Pita Q was very clean and fresh ingredients inside. Also have a very cute outdoor seating area with patio cover and plants to add to a nice ambience on a nice day. Updated menu photos attached as of 4/16/2024.“

“We had a really great experience at this location. The food was extremely good and I had one of the best quesadillas I've ever had. It was empty due to the weather so we decided to eat at the restaurant. The folks working were extremely nice and very helpful and they'd put on a movie since it was slow. It happened to be one of our favorites so it made us feel at home. Definitely plan on coming back in the future! The place was very clean and I was really excited they had stubborn brand soda on their fountain along with other regular brands. The flavors were perfect! So good, thanks again!“
