“Didicoco’s Southern Comfort truly delivers when it comes to quality and flavor. The oxtail was outstanding—perfectly tender, slow-cooked, and seasoned to perfection. The meat fell right off the bone and was packed with rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. You can tell real care and time goes into their cooking. The gravy was deep, well-balanced, and complemented the oxtail beautifully. The rice was just as impressive—fluffy, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly right. It paired perfectly with the oxtail, soaking up all the flavor while still maintaining its texture. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Customer service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was warm, welcoming, and professional, making sure orders were accurate and customers felt taken care of. They were patient, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the overall experience even better. Didicoco’s Southern Comfort is the kind of place that gets both the food and the service right. If you’re looking for top-tier oxtail, comforting sides, and great customer service, this spot is absolutely worth visiting and supporting.“

“Chris was such a delight to work with—we hired the Holy Smoker to cater an event for over 240 people and the food was amazing!! The meat was tender and juicy, and the beans were delicious. He traveled all the way to Modesto from Brentwood and cooked on site. Chris also made an exceptional vegan meal for a close friend of mine, and it was divine. The fundraiser dinner was a success, and it was so nice to have the whole meal taken care of for us. Chris even donated a beautiful raffle basket for our youth ministry program!
We will definitely ask The Holy Smoker to cater our future fundraising dinners. His catering business is a blessing. Our team is extremely thankful for Chris’ positive attitude, for his clear communication, and for his generosity.“

“finally stopped in for the first time, now driving me nuts that I haven't before. I grabbed a few chicken dinners with veggies, some whipped topping and two personal pies. the chicken falls right off the bone, it's moist and full of flavor. there were fresh green beans, potatoes and squash with it. Delicious! My husband ate his apple pie without utensils. he said it was amazing. the pecan pie with a bite of the whipped topping was phenomenal, although neither needed the other to be amazing. so many wonderful things to get there in the shop. staff is so wonderfully kind. the store is clean and well organized. Exactly the place you want to go to. I will return, many times.“
