“Amazing food! We ordered calamari as an appetizer, along with some spring rolls. I ordered the Cajun Baby Lobster roll, my friends ordered the Dragon roll and the Baked Alaska roll, and we all shared. There was not a bad item on the table. I was especially amazed at how tender the calamari was, because so many places overcook it and it's rubbery. I will definitely come back!“

“My mind was scrambled eggs. Dusty from the road less traveled and a little worn for wear. I need to clean my boots. A sign. Tokyo, like the city, Glowing in the dusk of polluted desert skies along a busy street 2 hours from nowhere. Dining alone I walked to the bar, may I was in order. “Ichiban, tall.” The chef, Kazu, careful not to be seen in his quick study of customers, cleaning the skin from a salmon filet, sharp is his knife, asks if I’m ready. I order off the menu, otoro and uni sushi. “If you have it.” He does. It’s glorious. I ask for a plate of sashimi, his choice, “I like everything from tamago to saba” indicating my adventurous side despite my American heritage. Again he obliges. Textures, flavors, chile, wasabi, playing with my senses so delightful. Im floating now in the ether, buying a beer for the chef which he opens to a cheers, the universal language on a plate, a shared emotion, his love for craft apparent. I almost forgot my jacket by the time I cleared my plate. I never the question the price of the experience, as it is priceless. And this man, in this place, at this time in my life is worth every single penny. 2 thumbs up, a cheers and an applause. Thank you chef. Thank you. “In a little hilltop village, They gambled for my clothes, I bargained for salvation, And she gave me a lethal dose, I offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn, Come on she said will give ya, Shelter from the storm.” - Bob Dylan“

“Not much of a sushi person, or a seafood person! But I'll tear up a Green Train roll! This has to be the best sushi spot in the high desert hands down! Samurai never disappoints! The girls who host are always so kind, and always checking up on you! Love it here, for the high desert! The complimentary tempura peppers have to be my favorite!“

“This place is the best japanese sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The service was just perfect. They even have a button on the table. So if you need something, you just push the button. The appetizers came out hot and fresh before the food. The entrees followed quickly after they had something for myself. My husband and my 5-year-old. Who doesn't eat sushi. The chicken noodles were to die for I. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the move for sushi.“

“I have been to so many sushi spots across the US. I'm a bit spoiled. To be honest, Yoshi is ok for locals. It couldn't stand on its on in the big city. The presentation was great. The rolls I had didn't hold up to its expectations. I left feeling a little let down. The rice was over sweetened and fish bland. For the price of the rolls, I don't see the value. I'm more critical in experience than in stars. If the service wasn't excellent, this place would fall apart. Every team member checked on us and was attentive to every customer, not calling for any of the patrons to need for anything. If I could give the team 10 stars , I would. I don't think I will visit again. This is a spot you have to try for yourself. I admit I am a sushi spot snob.“

“Hands down the best sushi in the high desert.
Parking: Parking can be a little crazy as it's a busy complex. Lots of cars coming and going.
Kid-friendliness: Kid chopsticks and high chairs are available“
