“Every time I go, spot in with the food. This is what I look for in a restaurant. Think out of the box menu with consistency every time I go with every item I order. I keep working down the menu to try everything. They obviously make their own sauce, the ranch, super bomb diggity. Fries, onion rings, salad all fresh and crisp. Mac and Gouda cheese bites, Yes! Chop cheese, you gotta have one of these! Mushroom cap “burger “ something you will crave, Parish pie, goodness wrapped up in one dish. Salmon fish & chips, fantastic. And I forgot to mention beer, beer, beer, they also have beer and mixed drinks. There is always specials on the screens. Last time I noticed something about tenderloin and bacon …… can’t wait to go back and find out!“

“Love Hindquarter! Been going for many years mostly for dinner/drinks but am now also loving their delicious lunch specials which change daily. You can enjoy lunch specials until dinner menu starts at 4 pm! Deserts are great and the 3 berry cobbler with vanilla icecream is incredible! Highly recommend!“

“We were there for a music event late Jan 2025. HH drink specials were tasty but was disappointed on how cold it was inside the restaurant. Both doors, front & back, were wide open during the entire evening show (48 degrees outside). Even the band mentioned how cold it was before beginning their set. All the customers wore jackets. Also, the harsh lighting was way too bright throughout the restaurant. I wanted my sunglasses on. Please read the room & tone down the lighting & warm the place up, then we’ll be back. Mahalo“

“Great divey bar kind of place with really good food. They always seem to have some type of different than usual soups that are very good. Plates come with a small slice of yummy chocolate cake too. Service is fast and friendly, drinks are good as well.“

“Popped in before and after our round. The golf course is the star, and in its pursuit of excellence can be a bit “exclusive” in many ways. Mackenzie’s remains casual and laid back, classy not stuffy. Just light snacks and cocktails today. Delicious all. Great bartender.“

“Kitchen staff leaves PROMPTLY at 10pm so dont expect any food or dessert after 10. Additionally, the internet states the establishment closes at 11pm. Although the staff (they told us) has been told repeatedly that the closing time is incorrect, no one has bothered to correct it. Wait staff is lackadaisical. They did not communicate last call on cocktails or offer dessert prior to kitchen close.“

“The four of us ate lunch there a couple of days ago. Was honestly surprised at the portion sizes (those super burritos 😛)......WOW!!!
Aside of the food being plentiful and delicious, it was upstaged by our wonderfully attentive server, Fernando. That guy DOES customer service! (To the owner: Give this man a raise!)
So.......if it wasn't 2,300 or so miles from our home, we would eat here MUCH more often!“

“As the title says, The View certainly has the view. On a clear day, you will see Santa Cruz and the Monterey Bay. The breakfast on the day I ate there was a little disappointing but still a wonderful place with amazing service and an outstanding atmosphere.“
