“Best burritos in town. My coworker introduced me to Backwood burritos, had no idea Arcata was home to breakfast burritos this good. Friendly guy who charges a very fair price for a very tasty burrito, a 10/10. Just be sure to follow his Instagram to be able to get updates on when he’s selling!“

I asked around the harbor which taco truck put out the best tacos, and got a dozen different answers, I got a bunch of what if's, and these and thems, but Alma's Mexican Food Truck kept popping up...So, off we went! I had my pal Peckerwood Pete with me, and he's in a lot of pain from a fight he had with an angry beaver, so he said ...we'll eat in the truck..okay.
I'll tell you...those tacos were Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“We got the grilled halibut tacos and the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos were great but don't get the grilled because the fried halibut from the fish and chips is outstanding and would send the tacos over the top being fried! Get the fried fish! And the fries are very good, taste like an old school McDonald's fry! The service was quick, 5 orders to go took maybe 10-15 minutes? Were not local but we will stop here again on our way through! Only minor complaint is the fish tacos for the price should get fries with it. The fish and chips is a good portion and super good crunch! Tacos just a little to small portion for the price! Excellent food tho highly recommend! They have specials too (see pictures). And the tar tar sauce is sssssooooooo gooooodddd!“

“Great food, but room for improvement. I was looking forward to dining at Pineapple Express, but unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restaurant fell far short of expectations. While the food tasted good, the dirty dining area overshadowed any culinary positives. Specific issues: - Filthy floor - Unclean tables (including ours) - Lack of attention to detail despite sufficient staff With better focus on cleanliness, Pineapple Express could provide a more enjoyable experience. For now, consider takeout.“

“I have seen this place on my daily commute. Always said I would make an effort to stop by, I finally did and I wish I would’ve come sooner. Not only are the people working offer some of the best service you’ll get but the menu has so much more to offer than your average taco truck. The Pambazo was so good and unlike anything torta I’ve ever had. Don’t forget an agua Fresca! Next time I’m going to try the tamal torta or maybe Mole enchiladas.“

“Was looking for a quick dinner option near me, and was feeling tacos. I happened to see this place while I was getting gas. Originally, coming from the LA area I've had some of the best street tacos one can have. These tacos are authentic and true to the flavors of my childhood. The young man serving us was friendly and we had quick service. I'm so happy they're nearby. I will definitely be a regular.I recommend the lengua, al pastor, and birria!“

“This place is great! It was pretty empty when we went, but it seems to do a lot of Doordash orders. The owner was the only one there, but he was very friendly and made all our food fresh himself pretty quickly. He even fried the tortilla chips for our complimentary chips and salsa!

“It's a taco truck on a relatively busy road, so the atmosphere isn't really a thing to be concerned about.I tried a couple of items, a shredded beef California burrito and a carnitas chimichanga.The California burrito was large and the shredded beef was very good, but the filling seemed to be mostly potato (fries). It might have been the way it was rolled, with all of the meat at one side, but that's just how it seemed to me. I don't know if I'd go for that one again or not, it is almost a wash for me.The chimichanga was loaded with pork, the meat was very flavorful, and the tortilla was nice and crispy without being burned. The container ended up with quite a lot of clear-ish liquid though, seeming to be from a combination of the salsa and the fresh tomatoes. This did soak into the bottom of the tortilla after a bit, but it was still delicious. I would definitely order the chimichanga again.“
