“Pretty much the best food in the world.“

“We were sick, worked late, lacked sleep and only wanted to stay home in pjs. Went on the ole Door Dash and saw Backwood Burritos was available! 20 minutes later these piping hot, life giving beauties were on our front porch. Of course it would have been fun to visit Britton in person on this beautiful day at his cart on G Street. But for today this was an amazing option. So delicious and the jalapeños are kicking our colds butts! Thank you!“

“Ingredients were fresh, the tortillas are tasty too. The mushroom taco, and the ground beef taco were excellent. Everything else needs some salt, especially the guac—it was so bland… given that, it wasn’t bad for a Mexican food truck in the middle of Humboldt. It was also expensive—six tacos, a side of guac, and two drinks for $70 including tip.“

“I absolutely love this spot! I’ve been coming here for years, whether eating plant-based or enjoying meat dishes, and I can confidently say their veggie options are just as satisfying as their meat ones!

The staff here is also incredible. Everyone is always so kind and helpful. You can feel the pride they take in their work and their want to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for their customers.

- Crunch Bowl
- Prawn Tacos
- Banh Mi

The tacos were my favorite! I loved the sauce on them. The Banh Mi was also really good and unique with tuna. The bowl wasn't bad, but it was the least exciting of the things that we ordered.

They have picnic tables you can eat at, though it wasn't ideal on a rainy day. It would be nice if there was some kind of covering nearby to eat when it's raining. Either way, we still loved our food, even in the rain!“

“Awesome food truck! It’s usually parked over at 3 Corners Market on Myrtle Ave so it’s easy to grab refreshments while you wait. All the flavors are on point! I tried the chili relleno this time and it was the best I’ve had since moving to Humboldt 5 yrs ago. We got some churros for dessert too and they were amazing. We love this food truck, and we super love it’s so close to our home. Not close to your house? No prob, head up to Freshwater reserve or Freshwater Park (no dogs tho) to enjoy your food with a great view.“

“I really like their burritos. We often treat ourselves to burritos and nachos on Fridays. Today I asked if they had Flan and was pleasantly surprised they did. Their Flan is TERRIFIC! I really recommend SPEEDY TACO.“

“Completely empty when my husband and I went in. I was concerned that no one was there, but we decided to give it a go and I’m so glad we did. I had a wet veggie burrito and my husband had a wet super burrito with carnitas. Wet burritos weren’t on the menu, but the (owner?) was very accommodating. She was the only one working and her kid was sitting at a table playing. It felt like one of our moms was cooking for us! It was such a cool vibe. She cooked quickly and it was truly delicious. The salsa on the wet burritos was spicy and delicious. Big burritos! We will definitely be back soon!“

“Sebastian is great! I go here about once a week. He remembers my order as soon as he sees me and is VERY fast! When there's no one else in line, I generally wait less than 5 min, and no longer than 10 min for lunch when it is busy. Prices recently went up but that's likely because the price of everything has gone up recently.“

“It's a taco truck on a relatively busy road, so the atmosphere isn't really a thing to be concerned about.I tried a couple of items, a shredded beef California burrito and a carnitas chimichanga.The California burrito was large and the shredded beef was very good, but the filling seemed to be mostly potato (fries). It might have been the way it was rolled, with all of the meat at one side, but that's just how it seemed to me. I don't know if I'd go for that one again or not, it is almost a wash for me.The chimichanga was loaded with pork, the meat was very flavorful, and the tortilla was nice and crispy without being burned. The container ended up with quite a lot of clear-ish liquid though, seeming to be from a combination of the salsa and the fresh tomatoes. This did soak into the bottom of the tortilla after a bit, but it was still delicious. I would definitely order the chimichanga again.“
