“This hide gem is a perfect taqueria. They have indoor sitting. They are one of the better places to get Mexican style food in arcata. Fresh ingredients and the salsa is house made which is as a plus super tasty! Staff is friendly and quick service. 100% worth trying! Beers are cheap however they have a small selection!“

“This is the best taco truck in Humboldt, hands down. When I lived in Giuntoli I was there multiple times a week and now I stop whenever I'm close and they're open. My favorite is the carnitas! They're fast but I call ahead anyway if it's around noon because they're very popular.“

“My sister use to tell me that Turkey was the coolest country she, ( as a world traveler ), visited. The Kebob Cafe confirms my sister's claim.
Great food, great people, a simple atmosphere, oh, and really fair prices.
The friend who took me here always has a Turkish coffee, right off the bar, the minute he walks into the cafe.
Take a little trip to a far out place. Oh Yeah“

“My now husband and I had the absolute honor and privilege to host our rehearsal dinner / welcome party for our wedding at Alchemy a few weeks ago. Steve and Amy went above and beyond with every aspect for our event. Their communication, care, and commitment to making this an evening to remember was so appreciated. The process was so easy with the two of them and the night turned out spectacular! A beautiful venue, beautiful people, and amazing drinks.. That pineapple Boldt Whip tho! 😋
We were also blessed by the old Kyoto sushi squad, their food was to die for! They made the best vegetarian and non-veg sushi I’ve ever eaten and each piece was curated so beautifully. I haven’t stopped craving the delicious tuna poke and marinated bell pepper nigiri.
Our guests are still raving about the party. We cannot say enough to properly express what a gem Alchemy is and cannot recommend them more for your private events. Thank you Amy, Steve, and Kyoto team! ♥️“

“What a great sushi place! So glad we stumbled upon this out of the way super tasty off the beaten path sushi place in Arcata. It’s a mom n pop shop atmosphere but the food is fine dining style. We both got a roll with salmon in it, can’t remember the names but they were both delicious. The Miso soup, tempura veggies and edamame are all bomb too. Made a mistake of ordering three sakis, they came in a nice size bottle with more than enough for the three of us. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Got the seaweed salad this trip and it was great, nice roasted sesame flavor. This is now our favorite place to get sushi in Arcata“
“Spacious area with outdoor seating, excellent selection of inebriants + nonalcoholic options, adjacent food truck with insanely yummy food + outdoor seating (but not pet-friendly 🥲).
On a Saturday afternoon in November the place was lightly filled, and bar service immediate. Truck food was fresh-prepared so took a bit, but you get a buzzer so no need to stand around twiddling thumbs.
I had the vegan Yogi Bowl which was outstanding (and spendy at $18, but it was enough for two meals) and thoroughly enjoyed the array of ingredients & flavors. 🥗🍚🍲
This is the only bar I’ve found so far that carries both a Belgian Tripel (in the correct glass) + cider + kombucha + root beer on tap. 👏🏼👏🏼
The only downside is that the view from the patio is basically a wire fence & parking lot (or the nearby thoroughfare), but if you angle your seating you can see forested mountains⛰️ in the background. 😉“

“I've only been in Humboldt for two years and it was my first time tonight at Bencharong with my wife. We moved from Virginia in 2021. We have nothing but good things to say about Bencharong. The food, the service, and the atmosphere...just fantastic! And Greg made us feel so welcomed. Thank you so much, man. We will definitely come back! ❤ Mel and Jody“

“I have been to alot of restaurants and this is one of the best ive ever eaten at. My old fashioned was perfectly crafted and my filet was perfect and melted in my mouth. I'll be back for more.“
