“Best pizza in the neighborhood!”

“Decided to try this place about a year ago. Now I get an XXL every other week or so. The pizza is a solid Portnoy high 6, maybe low 7. Nonetheless, for proximity, value, and quality, this is the best pizza in the area hands down. I just wish they had a bigger pizza than the XXL.”

Fast forward to high school, and Tip Top became a regular spot, especially since I had friends in the area. After all these years, the quality is still just as good. The charbroiled flavor, the creamy thousand island dressing, and those perfectly crispy hot fries — it’s a winning combo. I was nearly done, but a gym date was calling. I asked for a to-go box, and the guy looked a little disappointed. We both laughed and joked, “Skip the gym, finish the meal!”

“This place is pretty good for quick food similar to L&L BBQ. The food came out quick, was fresh and the people working were nice and friendly. There is limited seating and parking. We ordered the Bento. 1 Teriyaki chicken and 1 katsu chicken. Both came with macaroni, 2 fried dumplings rice and some salad. Overall, this place is yummy for the price! Will come back again!”

“VIM'S is THE BEST Thai food that I've had in Los Angeles. I've been going to their various locations since 1987! I've even celebrated my birthday parties there. The food is cooked to order (spicy to mild) and served family style. I have taken hundreds of friends and co-workers to Vim's for lunch or dinner and it's always a hit! It's still cash only after all these years. The taste and quality of the food has remained consistent over the decades.”

“It's a little hole in the wall. Has great savory proteins that you can choose from. I myself highly recommend the pork or beef tacos, aka al pastor and asada. They also have a great classic plate called "puerco en salsa verde." I highly recommend it. It has a very homecooked flavor to it. Last but not least, the hot sauce you know can't be missed. The hot sauce (red and green) is really good and flavorful that you will be able yo eat your food, enjoy it, and not worry if that sauce is too spicy and overpowering the food.”

“Found this place purely by chance but so glad we did .. all the traditional Mexican fare is there but we settled on the pozole.. which was sensational .. my suegro tells me it was just as enjoyable for him and he has eaten a lot of pozole !! .. plenty of meat and hominy in the broth and good serve of cilantro onion lettuce (not cabbage) oregano and chilli flakes to garnish with a good handful of chips to snack on .. absolutely no hesitation going back for more .. @gavsgoodgrub on Insta”

A request I have for this place is to please place bilingual signage in front of each food item for easy identification and ordering. Although, they do have a menu on the wall, it's difficult to read for some. Other than that, food is fresh, hot, and delicious!”

“Food always good. Very very cheap on giving one hot salsa container per taco bought. They said no. If I wanted more salsa I would need to to order more food. When asked if could buy more they said no. For $2.20 each taco bought I don't understand how Taco El Oso would go out of business since people never stop going in to buy food. Cause many more taco places to go I will not buy tacos there again. Been buying tacos for over 45 years. Never again”

Funnel cake excellent, churro sundae fantastic. My kids loved the free books they give and toys and games for them to play while waiting. We love this place..”
