About Szechwan Garden | Chinese

Szechwan Garden is a small, family-owned Chinese restaurant known for its authentic and flavorful Sichuan dishes. It is a cozy hole-in-the-wall spot with a clean setting where the staff, often serving on their own, provide friendly service. The restaurant offers generous portions of tasty food, including popular dishes like Ma Po tofu, filet fish with preserved pickled soup noodle, chili oil wontons, and spicy Sichuan food that is flavorful but not overly spicy. Cold dishes are a highlight, with options like pig ear and a cold dish bar that many customers appreciate. The menu also features items such as beef noodle soup, pork chop rice (which may be a bit salty), Dan Dan noodles, and peanut noodles—each praised for their bold flavors and satisfying textures. Meals are served hot and quickly, often accompanied by complimentary jasmine tea. The atmosphere is welcoming and safe, making it a favorite for both dine-in and takeout. Prices are reasonable, and portions are large, making it a good value. While the staff's limited English might make custom orders challenging, the authenticity and deliciousness of the food more than make up for it. Regular customers love supporting this place and enjoy the traditional, tasty dishes that keep them coming back.

Usually not busy weekday lunches, though your food might take some time to come out since there is only one guy back...read full review
