I had:
1. Beef fried noodles
2. Three appertizers: garlic salt pepper pork ribs, fried chicken cutlet, crispy cucumber
3. Sesame ball

“Hidden gem closed to home. Rare to find great tasting pho closed to home and big in portion.

Throughout the years many pho places give very little and tiny portions, but Tasty Pho reminds me of the good size pho bowls one used to get back in the day. Their prices are also very reasonable. Their stuff attentive to your needs.

The broken rice is very complete with the egg quiche, shrimp paste and radish carrot salad for a very good price. No need to go to Little Saigon anymore to eat great Vietnamese food“

“Food: Grabbed a modest amount of fixings (i.e., veggies, seafood, meats, etc.) for my soup, which totaled out to be ~$13. Not too shabby. Opted for the beef bone broth; however, there was a taste/smell to it, reminiscent of lamb (I only got beef), which was unexpected and a bit off-putting for me.

Service: Decent. While it isn't a standard sit-down restaurant, be prepared to be charged a gratuity for a party of six or more.

Ambiance: Casual. Pretty spacious and clean, including the ingredient + sauce bar.

Parking: Ample parking, but located in a relatively busy/ high-traffic plaza, so parking could take a minute, during peak hours.“

“Delicious hand pulled noodles! Very authentic flavors at a fair price. Love the bouncy thick noodles. Had their beef and tendon noodles and the meat was humongous!

They also sell frozen dumplings in bags. Highly recommend!“

“Total hole in the wall, mom and pop shop. Portions are large and are very tasty. Add that extra chili oil if you dare. Had the Ma Po tofu, filet fish with preserved pickled soup noodle and chili oil wontons. They speak limited English so don't roll in here thinking you are going to custom order or have them explain the menu ingredients and where they are from. Usually not busy weekday lunches, though your food might take some time to come out since there is only one guy back there cooking, so relax and drink some jasmine tea.“

“Seriously, the Cambodian Dirt are the best wings I have ever had in my life, and I’m 58 years old and love wings. The Dirty Elvis is a close second and they need to have wet naps available even though you end up licking your fingers. The noodles and fried rice are tasty, too. The Coca-Cola is balanced perfectly. I’d put them up against McDonald’s. But don’t sleep on the Chicken Wings. They are really the best!“

“Tteokboki like you never had before

If you're a fan of tteokbiki then this place elevates that experience.

From the customization and selection, it was a delicious experience .

If I had a choice between fried chicken and tteokbiki ( they sell both) i would normally eat more chicken.

But in this instance, I kept going back for tteokbiki more and more, completely forgetting the chickens existence.

This isn't do downgrade the chicken, the chicken was absolutely delicious, but I kept going back for more rice cakes.

It sucks that my only true option is lemon pepper. I think if they would give us buffalo wings and the people got to taste them, they could grab some of that market locally.“

“Genuine Japanese Ramen with rich Miso taste. No other ramen shops serve this taste and only one in SoCal. It’s worth to spend your time to go to this place if you are Ramen Lover! Now they start serving Shio-Ramen (Clear Salt base soup) with Truffle oil flavor. This one is very good, too!“

“Came to Sushi Story and we were seriously amazed! The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece of nigiri, roll, and sashimi was HUGE! They also have wide selection of sake and Japanese beer. Everything was so satisfying, and they even have claw machines, which made the whole experience even more fun!

Overall, such a great spot, we had so much fun and absolutely loved it. Definitely coming back!

“This is going to be my new go to Pho place. We had oxtai, rare steak, and brisket. I always say when the brisket is tender, it always is a good pho. They have a small and a large size for $1 extra. The dish size difference is huge. Service was nice and super fast. 5 stars!“

“My teenagers and I had the Motto Black, the Motto Red, and the Motto Special. All bowls were tasty and delicious. Noodles were fresh and the chaschu melted in your mouth. We ordered the Dak Galbi (Stir-fried Spicy Chicken) with a side of mozzarella cheese, along with an order of fried dumplings. The dak galbi was packed with flavor, and we appreciated being able to adjust the spice level to something a little milder. Adding the mozzarella was definitely the right call, it melted into the spicy chicken, making the dish even richer and creamier while balancing the heat beautifully. “Consistent food quality and portions. Clean and the tables have enough space to order multiple things (unlike Yard House). I live near here so I walk and for that reason I know the parking situation is not the restaurants fault. It's very difficult to find parking so I recommend carpooling. The broths have plenty of flavor, the meat is not thin. I recommend for parties up to 4 since the restaurant usually has people dining in. Overall I hope this restaurant survives the economy since it's worth wanting a restaurant experience.“

Occupying the former location of Hanako, we've dined at the second previous tenant of this address, prior to Hanako. I've been meaning to come by Pudtarn Thai Cuisine because I'm a huge fan of Thai food, and Lunch Specials are an affordable option. This day seemed just the moment to try another local Thai restaurant for takeout.

Lunch Special Pad Thai-
Choice of protein (beef + $1, shrimp + $2), with rice, salad & egg roll. Oh, how have I missed pad Thai. Pudtarn's version hit the spot for my Thai food fix. Had the perfect amount of sour to sweet. Portions were generous, too.

Chicken satay-
Five tender, succulent sticks of chicken, served with creamy peanut sauce. Great accompaniment to the noodles, the pieces of chicken were delicious, especially when smothered in the sauce.

Service was good. A good amount of seating inside, the wait for takeout wasn't too long, since I was the first customer of the day. Parking can be somewhat difficult to come by, as some spaces are designated for the business in front of them. Hard to find on it's own, Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is located west of the car wash on the corner of Bloomfield & Centralia.

Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is a solid Thai eatery, and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting, again, in the near future. Their lunch specials are affordable, and provide an ample amount of food. Pudtarn Thai Cuisine has earned their spot in my food rotation list.“

“This is a fresh noodle manufacture, the product can be found in the local Asian grocery market. I prefer the Wonton Egg Noodle, which are a flat wide noodle pack with flavor, that can hold up to curry soups and sauces. I package makes four bowls of noodles.“

“After visiting the OC/LA area, we're on the way back to the Bay Area, we wanted to have some lunch before we go. Some of the restaurant closed on Monday, one our friends recommended this place for real excellent egg noodles soups, so we stopped by, it's right next to PLT the big VN shopping center.
There's no parking for this restaurant, the whole block has a few parking spots and there's parking on the PLT but always full. We had to park outside on a different shopping center.
The restaurant is small and simple, clean. The owner or the care taker seems to be extremely friendly and attentive sitting us on a table.
The menu has quite a few dishes, but we're concentrating on egg noodle soup for lunch so we ordered the special bowl of rice noodles instead of egg noodles. It's quite good, quite tasty with chinese crispy donuts.
We had a great lunch and the price is extremely inexpensive. Ready to drive home.“

“your wonton wraps were flexible and easy to shape. they hold together wonderfully when boiling, taste great and have a good mouth-feel. they are top notch. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to use your gyoza wraps; some too dry to use; many were stuck to the one next to it (NOT an easy peel). the combination of too dry and stuck-together made for a lot of torn wraps, necessitating that I patch them together using scraps of ones that didn't stay in one piece in order to finish making the gyoza. Such wildly different quality makes me wonder if I got unlucky with the gyoza wraps, or lucky with the wonton wraps.“

My friend ordered tom yum soup with shrimp and I got Thai Boat Noodle. I am definitely going to eat there again and bring my family.“

“Total hidden gem honestly kinda glad it hasn't blown up yet but I want them to stick around so I'm leaving an honest review.
Their sushi is amazing clean enough that I trust feeding my wife her salmon and scallop sushi cravings from this spot.
By far though the must try item is their jumbo Scallop it is soooooo gooood.
They have an all you can eat menu but I lay extra to order more of that scallop.
I also just found out they started a new promotion, free roll with x amount spent for example $20 gets you a California roll and $30 gets you a crunchy roll and 2 more tiers.

The sushi chef was so nice he snuck in an extra salmon sushi in my togo order today I hear he was the original shop owner, sold it went to japan to work more in the industry and came back and bought it back, or something along those lines from other people's reviews. May or may not be true but doesn't an amazing hole in the wall deserve that kind of romantic story?

“Tried this place for their lunch special the other day with a friend and we were blown away at how good it was. Standard dishes like Pad See Ew and Pad Thai were next level compared to other Thai places in taste and freshness. So if the easy dishes are that good - rest of the food must be incredible. “If you’ve ever driven by this cozy Korean spot with traditional hanok-style windows and a constant line out the door, you’ll know why I’ve been curious about Hangari Kalguksu for a while. I finally caught a quiet weekday afternoon and went in right away.

The menu comes in Korean and English, but the English side is mostly phonetic, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t help much. I just pointed at the Korean menu and ordered their signature kalguksu ($17.99). They also offer sujebi, rice cake dumpling soup, cold noodles like buckwheat or soybean, plus classics like tteokbokki and fried snacks.

Banchan was simple yeolmu kimchi, light and refreshing. Then came the main event, a massive bowl of kalguksu, easily double the portion you’d expect, with a small side of barley rice (boribap). The broth was surprisingly clean and slightly sweet, loaded with shrimp, clams, potatoes, zucchini, and seaweed.

Pro tip: serve some noodles into your small bowl, then mix in their chili paste and sesame oil. It instantly levels up the flavor. Super comforting and honestly hard to stop eating so I ended up finishing the whole thing without realizing it.

Portions are huge, so sharing isn’t a bad idea. If you can’t finish, just ask for a to-go box.

Also worth noting, there’s another Hangari Kalguksu in LA (ktown) with a similar name and a more expanded menu. Not sure if they’re related, but something to keep in mind if you’re exploring different locations.“
