“Best place to get authentic cheonggukjang in Orange County. I've been coming for what feels like over a decade and the taste never changed. The restaurant does have a strong fermented bean paste smell but if you want authentic cheonggukjang, it has to smell like this. If a place that sells cheonggukjang does not have a smell, it you will get tasteless 'watered down' version of the soup.

Plus is the smell is not as over powering as it used to be way back when but the taste is still the same.“

The owners greeted us as we came in with the biggest smile and we're so kind.

The food wasn't made until we ordered it and let me tell you ... it was amazing! The shrimp was do flavorful and amazing!

“That was special... went here with my son for lunch and it was a great overall experience. Love the modern decor and the staff is super friendly and helpful... we had the combo aperizer with beef and two different kinds of pickles. The fried mushroom with peppercorn powder was right up my ally but my son wasn't a fan, too dry and mushroomy. The daicon pickle was the best I've ever had. My son had the dandan noodles which were a delicious flavor bomb and I had the pork dumplings that came in a spicy red sauce. So good I'm already looking forward to coming back for more...“

“I found this spot while doing some work in the area and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is very nice, quiet and relaxing. The menu has a nice variety of bbq and ramen. I had the Tonkatus Ramen which was really good, but this review is for the dumplings. They had the best dumplings I have ever eaten. I had the pork and cabbage (pan fried) and I cannot get over how good these were. The amount is definitely shareable but once you start you may just eat them yourself. A great experience overall and I will definitely be back.“

“your wonton wraps were flexible and easy to shape. they hold together wonderfully when boiling, taste great and have a good mouth-feel. they are top notch. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to use your gyoza wraps; some too dry to use; many were stuck to the one next to it (NOT an easy peel). the combination of too dry and stuck-together made for a lot of torn wraps, necessitating that I patch them together using scraps of ones that didn't stay in one piece in order to finish making the gyoza. Such wildly different quality makes me wonder if I got unlucky with the gyoza wraps, or lucky with the wonton wraps.“

“This is my go to chicken pho spot. It’s not overly busy like their main location in little Saigon. The spicy chilli sauce they have is really good if your into that stuff and if you’re not feeling like pho you can order their fried chicken leg which is super crispy that is also served up with fried chicken skin which is addicting. It is super that I can select my own rice cakes, veggies,sources and ingredients which is a decent and popular in Seoul Korea these days.

I live near here so I walk and for that reason I know the parking situation is not the restaurants fault. It's very difficult to find parking so I recommend carpooling. The broths have plenty of flavor, the meat is not thin. I recommend for parties up to 4 since the restaurant usually has people dining in. “Their Jjampong and Jajangmyeon are truly excellent. I ordered the Beef Brisket Bean Sprout Jjampong and the Jajangmyeon, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. “A Yelp Elite event brought me to this cool little boutique restaurant. It has a simple, industrial style decor, with a few large garage style doors that open up and make the space feel bigger and more open.

The staff and service were good everyone was nice and friendly. We did not have a reservation and waited no more than five minutes to be seated (around 630p on a Saturday), but it quickly filled after we arrived. It seats only about 50 diners.

Food, we ordered a fresh green salad, chicken wings and duck egg rolls fir appetizers, snd Owl Fried Rice, and crab with Thai chili and basil as shareable entrees. I had a beer with my meal, and my wife had the sangria.

The kitchen flow/timing was a bit off. After our order was taken, we waited about 15 - 20 minutes before the first appetizer came out. As we worked through the appetizers, the Owl Fried Rice arrived. About halfway through the rice, I realized I never got my beer and had to ask for it (I think it was forgotten). We were nearly done with the rice and still hadn’t received the crab dish, so I asked the waitress about it. She looked surprised and said she’d check on it. About 5–10 minutes later, the crab dish finally came out. My wife's second sangria was comped due to this error.

Let's talk about the food:

Green salad – Good and fresh. Did exactly what a salad should do.

Wings – Excellent. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Three wings - portion was smaller than typical, as this was part of the Yelp comp. A normal app is 5 wings.

Duck egg rolls – Great flavor, but the wrapper was a little thick and dense.

Owl Fried Rice – Really good overall. The curry flavor comes through strong in a good way. My only issue was that there was just one shrimp in the whole dish. Maybe go lighter on the pineapple and add more shrimp.

Crab with Thai chili and basil – Excellent. The flavors and preparation were on point.

Despite the delays, this was still a pleasant experience. I’ll definitely return and would recommend checking this place out. If the weather’s nice, I suggest grabbing a patio seat (there are only nine).“

You grab a bowl, go a little feral in front of the ingredient wall, and emerge with the exact spicy, slurpable masterpiece your heart desires. The selection is dangerously good, with everything from fresh greens and noodles to all the savory add-ins that make you start rationalizing a second bowl before you’ve even paid. Once it all comes together, the broth is rich, deeply flavorful, and wonderfully tingly in that classic mala way that says, “yes, your lips are numb, and yes, you’re very happy about it.” On top of that, the place is clean, bright, and efficient, so the whole experience feels less like chaos and more like a very delicious personal victory!“

They also have a decent list of items on their vegetarian section of the menu - mostly Tofu for the protein option in vegetarian but the taste is still retained be it the rice, noodles or the bunmi.

“Tang was exactly what we were craving after a night out. The portions were generous, and the side dishes complemented the meal well. Since the soups already include rice noodles, I skipped out on the extra rice.

We ordered the soondae guk and the galbi tang. The galbi was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the soondae (blood sausage). The texture was different, filled with a mixture of pork blood and noodles.

Overall, it was a great dining experience and a perfect choice for a morning comfort meal. Definitely a spot worth returning to.“

“I’ve found myself coming to this spot many times whenever I’m in OC. It’s one of the few places where you can find a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes beyond just pho, which, honestly, a lot of places still don’t get right.

I’ve tried more than six different dishes here, and every single one has been flavorful, delicious, and truly authentic. It tastes just like home.

Some of my favorites are the Bún Mắm, Bánh Hỏi Heo Quay, Bún Riêu, and Hủ Tiếu Mì Khô—all so good and packed with flavor. I don't recommend Bột Chiên tho!

The service is always friendly, and the food comes out quickly, which makes the experience even better.
