This is my go-to Mexican restaurant in all of SLO county. I have been to several other places. Don't get me wrong, they're all very good as well. But, Garcia's just takes the cake by a mile. I have been to Garcia's so many times now. I remember going to their old location. It was so small and had no space. They had a few tables and were primarily setup for takeout. Absolutely the best Mexican food in Atascadero for sure. The staff is always friendly and the food is very good. The portions are huge, and it's a family run business. They take pride in their service.

This place is good. It's not super authentic, the burritos are stuffed with a rice mixture that's not my husbands favorite and their chips are nothing special, but for the price it's decent. The servers are usually friendly and helpful, ambiance is nothing special but their new building is nice!
