Experience Atascadero's Mexican food at these fantastic spots.
“We had the pleasure of having them cater our son's college graduation in May 2022. From start to finish, Fermin was a pleasure to work with. The prices were fare and straight forward. Fermin was very responsive and accommodating when I had questions or wanted to add additional items to our order. On the day of the celebration, they arrived with plenty of food and a friendly staff. When finished, they packaged all the leftovers in containers they provided and cleaned up nicely. Thank you so much for helping to make the celebration a success and memorable!“
“We stopped here while driving by, hungry for a late breakfast. We enjoyed our hot coffee very much while sitting outside on clean good furniture. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and grilled potatoes, my husband had the pork chops and eggs. So delicious! And portions were a good size. The restroom/toilet was very clean too.“
“Great spot in Atascadero. They are fairly new and took over the old Burrito Express location. Though they have the same menu I was told they are not affiliated. Ordering through their web site or app "from the restaurant" is super easy. I had a chile relleno burrito and it was delicious! Came back two weeks later for another. This time I also ordered a carnitas burrito for my Gramma. She loved it. Not too many places in the north county to rave about when it comes to Mexican food but this place has not disappointed. Another important thing is the prices. Very reasonable!! I have paid much more for much worse. Staff is friendly. Inside the restaurant is a big space for dining and attached they have a banquet room that can be rented for parties! Congratulations to the new owners I wish you much success! Can't wait to come back and try another dish.“
“Absolutely a delicious ala carte Chili Relleno. The sauce was delicious, temperature hot and put some of the mild salsa (green) in with the red sauce for the Chips. Enjoyed immensely. Only thing missing is the shredded Iettuce and orange twist that restaurants put on as a side garnish which I really like and makes it a prettier plate presentation.“
“My granddaughter keeps telling me I needed to eat here! We had takeout last week and she was right. The food is good, yes, but even the refried beans tasted creamier! Everything was fresh, dinners came with fresh lettuce, chopped tomatoes and sour cream on the side and the salsa and guacamole was fantastic. Now our #1 favorite here in A-town. It's also closest to our house, even better!!“
“Ordered a Chile relleno a la carte, good value for the price. Best Chile relleno I have ever had, hands down. It had lots of cheese, the batter was flavorful and the sauce was excellent. Also ordered two cheese enchilada combo to go. Nice big portion. The beans were delicious, rice was light and fluffy, enchiladas were amazing. The chips however were stale.. I'm sure the chips are fresh during the day. I did go late, 30 mins before closing. The restaurant was empty and there was no music playing. The decor is a little plain. Nice comfy booths with plenty of room for a big guy. My Modelo cheladas were very good as well. I'll definitely be back and recommend the Chile relleno to anyone who will listen.“
“The shrimp fajitas were on special and were absolutely phenomenal. The service was excellent. Our fully attentive waitress brought us three baskets of chips, and she never let a drink go dry. I had to comment to my wife how we never see service like that many places these days.Kid-friendliness: They offered a high chair but gave us a booth and we didn't need it. They were pleasant towards our daughter.“
“Delicious burritos, pan dulce, Mexican snacks and drinks. We ordered the carniatas burrito, chorizo and egg and the cali burrito. They were all so good but the Cali is AMAZING. Carne asada fries in a burrito. Yes, please! Green salsa was very flavorful and nice amount of heat. We also got some yummy snacks I haven't seen at other stores. Very nice folks running this place as well, everyone was so nice and food arrived quickly! 10/10 will return again“
“Our favorite place for Mexican food! Great staff who helped explain the menu. We ordered and paid then ate in their dining. Great complimentary chips with various salsas to choose from all excellent. Dining area is roomy and clean. Portions are generous and pricing is great. You can choose combinations plates or ala cart. We will definitely be back!“
“Had the chicken, asada, and fish tacos, which were all excellent! Served with chips and salsa verde, for no extra cost, a really nice touch. The salsa verde was one of the best I’ve had anywhere: fresh, tangy, salty, and perfectly spicy. Highly recommend trying this place!“
“We’ve been regular customers since Jan 2011, at least monthly. The meals are always excellent. Wait staff has always been friendly and professional. We’ve taken family members and visiting friends and they are really impressed by the quality.“
“I was traveling from Santa Clarita up the 101 to meet some Amateur radio friends for a breakfast in Atascadero the other day. The Country Touch Café was selected from Yelp reviews and the meal did not disappoint. There were four of us and everyone reported they enjoyed the good foodI ordered the Cowboy Omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast for $16.50. Folded into the middle was a large portion of Ham, Sausage, Bacon and melted American Cheese. The plate was then smothered with a thick Country Gravy. That was a 5 Star meal right there. One of my friends stated that he always orders the Chile Verde when he goes to a new place. That is the yardstick he measures them by. He gave this place 4.5 out of 5. 5 Stars for the food and a half point off for the toast being a bit late. Hey, he likes his toast...Still that small inconvenience was not enough to mar the experience. If in the neighborhood again I will go back again.“
“Súper clean and friendly! food top notch! Super picky about my Mexican food and this place gets it right every time has not disappointed. So far I've tried the pastor nachos, carne asada torta, breakfast burrito, tacos and my new favorite they serve weekends is menudo with home made tortillas! Family new favorite restaurant in town! Will definitely be back!“
“Very very very good tacos! Had two asada and one pastor. They were very good size and the flavor was on point. No grisly pieces of carne and just the right amount of heat. Ingredients were fresh and I really liked the way they cut their onions rather than dicing. Tasted like I was at a friends house eating his mom’s homemade food they were that good. 10/10. Guillermo even offered me a glass of water after ordering. Now that’s service!“
“This place is good. It's not super authentic, the burritos are stuffed with a rice mixture that's not my husbands favorite and their chips are nothing special, but for the price it's decent. The servers are usually friendly and helpful, ambiance is nothing special but their new building is nice!“
“My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on the way home from SLO. It's a small place, not far from the Charles Paddock Zoo. It was early but there were already guests enjoying the breakfast burritos. We each ordered the breakfast plates. His with chorizo, and mine with ham. ($13.99) The meal included eggs, rice & beans, a small salad, and three tortillas. Delicious salsa, onions, cilantro, and cheese were sprinkled nicely across the meal. We were both amazed at how delicious everything was. Very fresh and authentic. There was more food than either of us could eat, but we both agreed it was worth taking what remained home. The establishment was clean and the service was wonderful. If you are passing through this area, we highly recommend you stop in for a quick delicious meal. Sorry for not taking pictures. We were so hungry we just dug right in. Enjoy!“
“The Martinez restaurant is very delicious hospital staff very friendly and engaging food. Never disappoints my favorite is the Menudo. My daughters favorite are the burritos. My husband's favorite is also the Menudo but we have tried almost everything on the menu and looks all delicious.“
“Met family here and sat on the patio for dinner. Great menu... Tons of options. Always love fresh chips and good salsa... They kept us filled! Hubby had a combination plate with beans & rice, tamale, taco, and enchilada. I had a taco salad with chicken. Both were very good, seasoned well, and perfectly cooked. The house margaritas are so good!! I had mine frozen, they also have on the rocks and with or without salt. Perfect blend of lime. The ahi salad our family ordered was beautiful... Perfectly grilled ahi, yummy greens and veggies. We really liked everything and will be back when visiting the area from Phoenix!Dietary restrictions: Many options with symbols to make ordering easier for those with special diet requirements.Parking: Plenty of spots and handicapped accessible.“
“This is a really cute place. The owner of Susy stopped and chatted with me as I was sitting outside. Her son who was behind the grill did an amazing job. It’s hard to find healthy food when you travel, but here I found an amazing vegetarian burrito that was grilled to perfection. Full of tomato, lettuce, onions, avocado, beans, and rice. It was delicious and filling And healthful!“
