“I’ve been an avid customer for more than 17 years. Majority of the time I eat solo because I run errands or have appointments after I eat there however I’ve introduced my family to this wonderful little cafe whenever they are in town. They all are big fans of Granny’s and always want to go there when in town. By the way my fam is from Santa Barbara & Los Angeles! Besides enjoying a nice meal I love talking with my fellow customers that’s one of the pluses of a small town cafe. Sad to see someone had a bad experience thank heaven that’s the exception not the norm. Granny’s is the only place I eat pancakes at usually in place of toast plus I love that they offer fresh fruit 🍉 not canned. Also enjoy their daily soup, split pea being one of my favs, also love their Taco salad. Well I could go on and on with various things I enjoy however some things you’ll have to try for yourself. As far as service it’s always been good for me however I know there has been changes and with that there is a learning time with new personnel. I’m sure everyone has had a good or bad experience now and then when eating out, here’s wishing you a great experience when come to this little towns cafe❤️“

The food is GOOD, thick pieces of chicken or beef. The rice was tasty aswell as the noodles. For 13 bucks you get FAR tastier and FAR tastier food than if you got say, panda. A solid choice 👌🏿“

“Stopped here on our way to my bonus Mom’s surgery in Sacto. Absolutely great place both service wise and sandwich!! My bbq sandwich was delicious!! My Bonus mom loved her vegi sandwich also. Portions are large and yummy. Employees and customers were very friendly and the food was made faster than we thought it would be. I would highly recommend and hopefully return on my way to Sacramento or back soon!!“

“This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh and delicious. The other reviews claiming that Panda is better clearly indicates that they don’t know what good Chinese food tastes like. Panda is ok in a pinch, but I would definitely rather eat here. It is a small, family run business, so sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. My husband is Chinese and this is authentic, Cantonese style, Chinese food. Also the complaints about price are way off base, because they have large portions and we always have a lot of leftovers. Some of our favorites are teriyaki chicken, chicken chow fun, tomato beef chow mein with pan fried noodles, steamed fish fillet, coconut shrimp (no batter) chicken chow mein, pot stickers, sizzling rice soup, etc..I am gluten intolerant and they have always been conscientious of that, when I asked, recommending gluten friendly options. We have never had a bad meal here whether we dine in or do takeout.“

“Some of my best memories with my grandfather and all the truckers that used to stop in. Go ask for the biscuits and gravy on the side. Try butter and jam on one and see how you like it. instantly brings back memories of Grandma's and Grandpa cooking with freshest coffee ☕ in town. Made with the cleanest Atwater 💦🌊💦. 👍 👍 👍“

“I highly recommend carnitas, they’re delicious. We loved that they were able to have a good quantity amount for a party, loved that they included onion, cilantro & limones. The breakfast burrito is also a must, great portion size and delicious.“

“Nice and somewhat inviting. I ordered a slices n stix, 2 orders of Garlic Parmesan wings, a deepdish box, and a 20 oz soda. It cost about 36 bucks and only had to wait about 10 minutes plus it came with a free order of crazy sauce. The breadsticks were good. The deepdish was good. The pizza was good. The wings were savory. I enjoyed the soda. I would recommend it but it is a bit pricey so not for me personally but maybe if I want to splurge.“

“This place reminded me of El Grullense in Los Banos. When I lived in LB that was my goto spot. Ive been living here in Atwater and never noticed Maria's , which is amazing since Ive lived here for 7 years. Im definitely glad I found this place. My fav is menudo and Maria's has it just the way I like it, in a 32oz cup. I also got some mini tacos as well. They also have covered outside eating. This will now be my goto spot. Im looking forward to winter, so I can swing by and pick up some menudo for work. This place is definitely worth 5 stars.

“My family has gone here for years, anyone can have an off day, I've never had one here. The food is great, I can take the buffet to go & still order things not at the buffet at the same time. The portions are well worth the money.

Parking: In front of restaurant, across the street & a parking lot (free) across the street.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of places to sit the kids, they have high chair seats, special items on menu for kids.

After buying all that food my girlfriend and I enjoyed not having to cook it...lol...they prepped a veggie pizza right away for my girlfriend because she's a vegetarian and there was meat on all the pizzas that were out...❤️“

“Started with an online order 1st time ever ordering online, and only because I was told deals and coupons are on their went to the one in Merced, but the girl there was very helpful to let me know about the deals Online order and since I'm in Atwater there's one their so I did just that. The people there were just as nice was clean, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in after getting the notification pizza was in the oven and will be ready in 8 - 10 minutes.
