“After doing extra cardio lately..hiking, a boot camp this morning, and my regular training it was only right that my girl and I treated ourselves to something sweet after dinner

I’m a nighttime donut person, not a morning one, so most shops are usually low on inventory by then. I called around to a few places..some were honest, some… not so much. I even stopped by one before this spot, looked through the window, and they straight-up lied about what they had left. I didn’t even walk in

I called this place and asked about their inventory. She told me they had over half left. No chocolate (not an issue for me), and when I asked about fritters, she said they had a good amount. Sold.

I pulled up and ordered not one, not two, but TWELVE donuts. She even threw in two extra, which honestly felt like a reward after all the extra steps we’ve been getting in

My fiancée and I ended up eating there since the shop had this super cute, old-school vibe. The workers probably thought we were crazy, but I made sure to compliment them because that was hands down the best fritter I’ve had in Bakersfield

You’ll definitely see me back maybe even with a few of my gym bros. All I ask is that those fritters stay in stock… because they were PACKING

“I woke up with a craving ventured on down to foothill, family donuts and got myself a ham and cheese croissant.
Warm buttery croissant, wrapped around hot ham and swiss,you couldn't ask for better. Taylor and Monique were both amazing people and I will definitely be coming back.
Side note their maple bar is beyond tasty!“

“Rainbow Donut might not be the fanciest shop around, but their doughnuts are pretty solid! The real gem is their ham, cream cheese, and jalapeño stuffed croissants—absolutely delicious! I haven't tried their iced coffee yet, but judging by the quality of the rest of their items, I'm sure it's great. A bit of a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit for fresh, tasty treats.“

“I needed two dozen powdered sugar donuts for my daughter’s bridal shower and I didn’t think to order them ahead of time. When I arrived to the store, I was disappointed that they didn’t have any. BUT, the young lady at the counter was so helpful and asked the baker if he could powder up some donuts for me! The Angel Donuts team at the Hageman store saved the morning! Not only that...the service was over the top when, after learning that there was a situation in the parking lot that had me concerned, the young lady (I wish I would have gotten her name!) kept an eye on me until I made it safely to my car! I got 2 pink donuts for $3, very soft and delicious 😋 Amazing donutss, they are not dry at all and the owner is very friendly! ❤️ The rumors are true, they sell out like super fast, you have to be there early in the morning to get a lot of donuts, I was there at 10am and only had a few selection of pink and chocolate donuts, croissants, and a twisted croissant 🙂. “I saw a post on next-door claiming this place has the best donuts in Bakersfield! So of course I had to see for myself. There isn’t a huge variety BUT the donuts were Sooooo good. Fresh, the case must keep them chilled because the speciality ones
I bought were chilled. I bought a dozen and they were all really good. Soft fresh fluffy. I am not really a donut person, as in I’ll eat them if someone buys them but I never would go buy donuts. They all were so basic and “ just ok” this place is Da Bomb!! You have to try them out. I’m a customer for life now.“

My daughter was looking for something specific for her class potluck and Mike was so helpful and accommodating! “Smith’s Bakery is a gem of a place in Bakersfield, truly amazing. Everything I’ve had from there for the 25 years I’ve been going there has been nothing but the best. But my God, are they overpriced. They raised their prices dramatically during the pandemic, which I understand to a point. But now they appear to be arbitrarily raising prices just because. And it happens in such a short amount of time that it’s kind of pitiful. For example, they raised the price of a box of their thumbprint cookies by $2 in ONE month. What justifies THAT much of a cost increase in such a short period of time?“

“Prices went up since I last remember for my Bakersfield visits. This location does not get much product for sell and difficult when you have limits available. Thump cookies were 3+ days old which is a bit odd to continue to sell so I did not buy the kids the small cookies. Wish they had more availability.“
