“What a special treat to discover this restaurant my first morning in Bakersfield. Delicious Chilaquiles, and a coffee made with that very special natural sugar found everywhere in Colombia, South America, Panela! Topped off with salsa music. I’ll be back.“

“5 stars for this type of place. As I always say, go i to places being realistic about what to expect. 2 of us went on a Friday at 5:30pm. It was busy. It was Happy Hour! We grabbed a drink and hung out by the bar until our table was ready. That took , maybe, 20 minutes. Not bad, in my opinion. We had a nice booth, and it was a fun atmosphere. We ordered happy hour appetizers and they came out in 10 minites. Super fastband friendly service. I think they have a well oiled machine going at this place. The pruce during happy hour can't be beat for the qualuty if food you get. I think its a great place to meet up with friends, have dinner with the kids, or a first meet-up kind of spot.“

“Love going to this restaurant. One of my favorite healthy places to eat. There aren’t many in Bakersfield that have locally grown food to enjoy a nice meal at. Besides, anywhere you go is expensive but here you’re getting quality food and locally sourced food. Heather was even there that day and came out and shared her vision with us. We are very excited for her and wish her all the best!!“

“Incredible piece of Americana. I believe we may have even met Carla. The place was busy with local ranchers, business owners, etc. The portions were generous, the service served with smiles and accommodations. We can not wait for our next visit.“

“The ambience is so inviting I love the old look of the countertops, but most importantly, the food is absolutely fantastic. We can’t choose just one meal everything we’ve had has been excellent.“

“The sandwich and the salad were bomb. The salad was the good kind of extra with a nice touch with the with the cut tangerines and the small grains of Parmesan. It really put it all together and it was super good. It was a pleasant place to eat inside of.“

“Finally had lunch at the guild house. It was absolutely lovely, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I did have a reservation and my table was ready. Everyone was extremely pleasant. I was offered a hot or cold option and I chose the hot option. Pea soup, chicken Marsala and strawberry shortcake to finish. Polenta fries were perfect!

“We had a fantastic dining experience at the renegade room. This was Basque food night and every dish we had from the soup and salad to the oxtail stew and dessert were fantastic. We also had a great server who took good care of us. The room was warm and cheery, and it was just a great experience.“

“Very good burger, the appearance is a solid 10. Is not sloppy or messy. The taste is a solid 10. I got the double Texas with cheese no pickles. It is a good blend and the cheese melts beautifully. I’m not a pickle guy but I’m sure if you like pickles it will taste fresh. I got a large and for the price you get a good amount or fries and a good ice to drink ratio. My kids got the 10 piece chicken nuggets and all my 2 year is saying is yumm. For the price for the chicken nuggets. The amount of fries they put I say it’s better than McDonalds . Really enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely become a regular.“

“It was really good , but won't be going back just to support a dear friend that was let go by them. My friend is an amazing chef with great talent in cooking and I hope I have support from other's as well. Who ever hires him next will have an amazing person but a great chef.“

“DO NOT STAY HERE!! IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SLEEP!!! I am so mad right now. We picked this hotel to stop and get rest on a long road trip, what a mistake!!! Its basically like im sitting in a f$%^% rave! Blaring loud music, bass is rattling the walls, and we were told "I can give you ear plugs..." wtf is that going to do??? Do not stay here!! Edit to add: I spoke to the front desk this morning and right away they blew it off saying "ma'am, its down town Bakersfield, its going to be loud"... be f&%$^ serious!! Im 40yrs old, I've stayed at 1000's of hotels in my life. Many on the heart of Vegas strip, big party areas, and NEVER in my life have I dealt with something like that! She said its not the hotels responsibility... um yeah it is! They are 10000% aware of this MAJOR issue and it IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to warn there customers. We didn't even want this type of room, we asked for two king rooms, and the host at checkin said this option would be better. I hope this place continues to lose business, until they start taking some responsibility.“
