“Amazing view, the bay, boats, the rock and the sun. You should sit on the patio but there is also inside seating and a bar with a TV. Try the Power bowls, the fries and ALL of their dipping sauces! My salad was ok, but the chicken tasted and looked like it came from a package premade. Weird texture and not a freshly cooked chicken taste, ya know? Oh well next time I'll try something else. There is plenty to choose from and they offer homemade desserts! Last time I was there I saw a piece of cake that would feed a family of 4!?

“Our favorite spot in Avila! The food menu is simple but it’s literally perfection and such a fun experience shucking your own oysters. We stopped by with our pup and grabbed seats in the cute backyard area where there’s plenty of spots in the shade or at the counter if you want to people. We had a bottle of petnat (loved it!) and a dozen oysters and both were exactly what we were looking for on a hot sunny day. Everything here is local, the petnat is from SLO and the oysters are from Morro Bay and mignonette is also made from locally grown ingredients. We love oysters and the ones from Morro Bay are in the top 3 we’ve had for sure. The service was top notch and the only suggestion I’d make is to stay open longer; the backyard had cute cafe lights and would be a fun hangout spot in the evenings.“

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.“

“Absolutely love staying at this resort, and the Clubhouse Grill is a large part of that. Lively atmosphere, always friendly servers, and excellent food! Fun to eat outside on the patio while watching live music or golfers (depending on the day), or to eat inside watching sports on the large screen TVs. My husband generally gets the rib eye, and I have a few different favorites.“

It's a perfect spot if you're looking to unwind and indulge a beautiful meal without the hustle and bustle of a louder dining scene. It was a great place to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. What really made our visit stand out was our wonderful waiter, Tyler. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Tyler even made us a delicious fresh strawberry lemonade—so refreshing, with just the right balance of sweet and tart. Honestly, it was one of the best lemonades I've ever had! For our meal, we ordered the short ribs and pasta, and both dishes were absolutely incredible. The short ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and full of rich, savory flavor, and the pasta was perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into the food here. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful, charming spot with excellent food and exceptional service. We look forward to returning for other special occasions.“

“We just happened to be staying in town on Valentine’s Day and they had a special set menu. Ohhh so good, we got the scallops, salad and desert. I could literally live on the salad. The risotto was so good! We ate upstairs and it was really cozy with the heaters and the nighttime atmosphere. The bar was lively and fun, our service was a bit slow but everything is so fresh! I can understand it is made to order. My only complaint, I’m so sorry but, I am a spicy Bloody Mary “snob” and the one here was not good at all. But that’s it! We loved everything else. Now to the owners who reply to reviews, I would have come here with all 1 star reviews just from reading your replies!!! Whoever you are I spent an hour reading reviews and your priceless replies! I adore you 😂 But honestly, really good food and very fun and great atmosphere. Back sooner than later♥️“

“We had the Fish and Chips. It was cooked perfect. The Restaurant has a dog friendly enclosed patio. Everyone last night, staff and the other dinners visited with our hound dog. It's just a fun, clean restaurant. The view of the Morro Bay Estuary on the patio is a real treat. This is our 2nd time to stay at Inn at Morro Bay....we will be back.“
