“Mike & Ken’s Deli, my son wanted a turkey sandwich, we drove to Little Luca, it was 5:30 PM. The place closed at 4:00PM. We drove around after looking for a sandwich place open, the map suggest to try the Mike & Ken’s Deli. “When I pulled up to this location there were trucks galore parked all around the surrounding area. There was a line of blue collar workers about 15 deep. I order their pulled pork sandwich and it was great. Also, their potato salad was the very best I've had at a deli. What a gem of a location and my go to spot for lunch when I'm in the area.“

“Prima Deli is now my goto deli in the area. Their tri-tip sandwiches is one of the best that I have ever had. They cook it in house and use the deli slicer to cut the tri tip, so it is never chewy and always tastes great. The staff is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of seating. “Some of the reviews written here are kind of weird — lol. Winton Deli is a typical no-frills corporate deli in the industrial zone. It’s like stepping back in time to the late 1980s decor-wise, dim lighting, basically no thought toward the visuals except basics. So, no one hangs out, they usually order and go. Lots of tables though, and prob a good place to have a meeting (minus the lady vacuuming your feet at 1:30). But it’s right next to my job and by the Hayward regional shoreline park. And the veggie sandwiches are INSANELY GOOD. The sourdough bread is PERFECT. You can have a conversation about Food with the Asian cashier guy, who I thought was a nice guy and enjoy having a good conversation on the merits of each sandwich. When it comes to veggie sandwiches it is PERFECT. I don’t know about that roast beef sandwich, but I PLAN my time to include this deli’s veggie pesto sandwich whenever I hike or bike at the park, as well as work lunch. It is that good !!! I’ll order one to go, too. It’s THAT hole in the wall. Go. Don’t go to boring Starbucks, go here. You must try to experience the contrast in amazing food and awful interior. There should be a movie made about this deli. It is just so Bay Area.

“They make the best sandwiches here. I love getting either the Breakfast Burrito or the Breakfast sandwich on the way to work. The people who make my food are very nice. I love the turkey sandwich the most. My husband loves the Always Thanksgiving sandwich. They also have a great selection of fresh breads. My favorite is the Dutch Crunch.“

“Hayward has always been a pass through town for me, that is until Brosco Bill and his little stab Coco de Avantè told me about Pick-A-Deli.
They claimed it's the best deli in the bay area! Well....That's a pretty tall statement, so I left my little hamlet of Napa and made the trek to Hayward to see for myself. When I get a request to visit a new deli I always order the same thing, a simple ham sandwich, and leave the rest up to the maker. I got my sando, and it was perfectly prepared, an even distribution of meat, perfect amounts of mayo and the dijon was well balanced, the sliced sourdough was a great accompaniment as were the chips and a crisp kosher pickle.
Is Pick-A-Deli the best deli in the bay area...No, Is it in the top 10, ...Yes!

“I celebrated my graduation last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we passed a marvelous evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for that happy meeting. The crew participated in a lovely style, the cooking was yummy and my buddies were extremely overjoyed. We shall definitely visit again for more events. thanks very much.“
