“This is a pretty good sandwich shop but goodness every time we come here it's EXTREMELY SLOW! You can wait upwards of 30+ minutes for sandwiches. We even went at what I thought was an off hour (around 2pm on a Sunday) and we still waited 20-30 minutes for two sandwiches.I did enjoy my sandwich last time though - turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo on Dutch crunch bread. Bread didn't cut up my mouth or break my teeth (a problem I've had with some other Dutch crunch bread at some places)... ingredients tasted fresh and overall sure I'd come back but not if I'm in a hurry.“
“I came here for lunch when I was in the neighborhood and ordered the Godfather sandwich. The sandwich was absolutely amazing with great flavors and exceptional meat/cheese quality. It was also huge, I could only finish half and had the second half for lunch the next day. They have some Italian groceries as well, but I didn't pick any up on my visit. My only complaint is it took quite a while to be acknowledged when I was waiting at the counter, there wasn't many people in the store (employees behind counter outnumbered customers 2 to 1) and a "hello we'll be with your shortly" would have been nice.“
“Wonderful small corner market family owned for like over a decade. Mac and his wife are a very happy and accommodating couple. The shop makes wonderful sandwiches for my son and I that are freshly made to order and you can get lots of snacks and drinks in this compact market. “Fantastic sandwiches! We tried the "carnitas torta" and "the slammer." We'd absolutely order both again. The bread here was incredibly fresh, as was all the produce, and the meats were delicious. I honestly can't stop thinking about the herbed olive oil that put the slammer sandwich over the top...and the carnitas were so tender and also really enjoyed the cilantro lime ranch on that sandwich, as well. We will be back!“
“What a GEM! And a hidden one at that.Celebrated Thanksgiving a bit early with #ThankYouThursday and decided to check out pot pie paradise after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not normally a pot pie type of person, but with the cold weather, it was definitely the way to go.Pot Pie Paradise is nestled in an industrial part of Hayward so it's a bit of a drive through back roads to get there. They've got a decent parking lot and when I stopped by after lunch time, it wasn't too busy. They have a really helpful menu that shows all the options they have for pies, sandwiches, and other lunch choices. It's also updated to show which pies they're sold out of. I wanted to try the bulgogi beef but unfortunately they were sold out that day. Instead, I went for the Thai chicken curry. The Thai chicken curry pot pie ($10) had noodles, green beans, chicken, and carrots in it. It was delicious! I don't usually have noodles with thai chicken curry but it worked here. It's a pretty good portion for lunch and can maybe even be shared with two people. Though for me, I ended up just having the rest later for dinner.The service was great and the staff was very helpful. I loved reading the newspaper articles they have posted around the shop as I waited. They've got lots of seating inside if you prefer to dine in but I opted to take it to-go.Such a great local business! I'll definitely be back to try other pot pie options.“
“This place completely snuck up on me and my sister because we were just exhausted and needed some food. We really didn’t think that this place would even be that good but we were so wrong. This amazing little whole had so many different sandwich and specials options. They had a pretty big selection of beverages as well. Overall this place is a much better equivalent to subway or jersey mikes. I would and will eat here again!“
“Love this place. There sandwiches are so hood and priced at a reasonable price unlike so many places that charge much more and there sandwiches don't even compare to Golden Ninth Deli. My only issue is that there closed on Sundays and only open to 1:00 on Saturdays which is to earlier for a Saturday which in my opinion should st least stay open until 2:00-3:00. Today(Saturday)I placed an order at 12:50pm and they canceled it so I was extremely disappointed to say the least. I ended up ordering from somewhere else which was decent but way overpriced!!!! $44.00 for 2 sandwiches is robbery but since Golden Ninth canceled my order even though it wasn't 1:00pm was upsetting. Some Ppl don't always each lunch until later in the afternoon!!!! But besides that they have amazing sandwiches!!“
