“I had to go over to Mayton Humpstumper's place to fix his wife's Wigglewhooper because she revved it up to high and burned out the thruster bearings! It's an easy fix as long as its been sanitized, and to make sure I called ahead and asked Mayton to put it through the decontamination chamber again! This gave me plenty of time to stop at the Maitland Market Café & Deli! The sandwiches there are Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Been coming here for years to get Italian treats and ingredients. Love their in-house parm/pecorino blend and little meats and cheese bits $1-$4 at the counter!
Amazing sandwiches of course, but best part is how warm and kind everyone is.“

“I came all the way down to the Hayward Plextron Auditorium for a special showing of what is called the Blue Grand Tornanado that was picked up in the vicinity of Area 51 back in 1961 but I really wanted to see the Metellurgical Analysis of the materials, because none of the alloys used in its composition are from this planet. Then I'm going straight to the Winton Deli for just about the best sandwich in the bay area! The Winton Deli is always a 5 star experience! ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Cute little cafe. Perfect to pop in and out for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Have a good selection of sides, spaghetti, and salads in the cooler if you don't want a sandwich for lunch. Very clean and friendly staff. This morning was melt in your mouth soft tortilla, perfectly cooked egg, and well seasoned potato.“

“My old pal Limney Gilbert got kicked in the mouth by one of Bucktoothed Mary's horses a month ago, and he's had his mouth wired shut since then. This morning they cut the wires! He asked me to bring him a ham sandwich and chips from the Joaquin Deli because he's been drinking all his meals from a straw, and he's ready to chew! It's my first time at the Joaquin Deli and I'll tell you what...it's clean, the ingredients are fresh as can be and the prices are right where they should be! The workers put the customers first, and not because the boss told them too, they do it as if they owned the place! Very refreshing in today's world! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“The breakfast burrito is sooooo legit!!I read about it in the Chronicle and had to try it. It is tasty, not greasy, generous AND their little cups of red sauce bring it to perfection.A breakfast burrito and an Arizona iced tea by the water may bring you peace, and remind you why is it we live in the Bay Area ☺️
Vegetarian options: You can customize your order to have a vegan burrito ?“

“Great employee owned business, has been supporting the community for 40 years“
“The staff here are so nice. They let me get a breakfast burrito right when they ended breakfast at 11. But also, it’s one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I’ve ever had - and I don’t even like Philly cheese. Their hamburgers are so solid too. My only critique is wishing they were open on the weekends but hey, everyone deserves a break I guess.“
“Great lunchtime gem in the downtown Oakland area. The service is great and friendly. I got a couple of plates to go. Service was fast and friendly. The pork dish was great but the chicken and tofu was even better! The tofu was perfectly cooked and the chicken was tasty! I did get there toward the end of the lunch time but everything still tasted freshly prepared.“
“Food was very good, good service too. Really good location and it reminds me of a 1940s diner. Pretty good menus and selection of food. \nBut unfortunately this is probably my last visit. Which is really too bad as I really like the place and would recommend it to everyone. But, as I was leaving I noticed a sign in the widow I hadn’t seen when entering. Stating that law enforcement was not allowed if they don’t have a warrant. Well I support law enforcement and if they aren’t allowed to dine here then I won’t be back either. Too bad, I really like this restaurant.“
“Nice lil panaderia that's got breakfast burritos, tamales, and tortas too. I got a coffee, a breakfast burrito, and an orange juice, and the orange juice was fresh squeezed! They got all the good Mexican breads and pastries too. Cool spot, nice friendly service??.“
“Affordable and delicious! If theres anything I can recommend it’s the chicken pesto sandwich on Dutch crunch. Their sandwiches are big, so unhinge your jaw maybe before you go in for a bite.Staff and service is friendly, nothing out of the ordinary. Counter service, know what you want before you step up.“

“Hayward has always been a pass through town for me, that is until Brosco Bill and his little stab Coco de Avantè told me about Pick-A-Deli.
They claimed it's the best deli in the bay area! Well....That's a pretty tall statement, so I left my little hamlet of Napa and made the trek to Hayward to see for myself. When I get a request to visit a new deli I always order the same thing, a simple ham sandwich, and leave the rest up to the maker. I got my sando, and it was perfectly prepared, an even distribution of meat, perfect amounts of mayo and the dijon was well balanced, the sliced sourdough was a great accompaniment as were the chips and a crisp kosher pickle.
Is Pick-A-Deli the best deli in the bay area...No, Is it in the top 10, ...Yes!

“I don't know how many, but there are at least two Kelly's Delis in the East Bay that are located by Home Depots, so whenever I go to Home Depot I check them out. They have a variety of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and mexican food.I really enjoy their breakfast burritos which are made with hashbrowns, eggs, rice and choice of meat. They're decently priced and their team turns around orders relatively quick.“
“Best roast turkey sandwich.....and the fresh sourdough rolls are to die for!“
