“I ordered the Spicy Basil with ground chicken, garlic, bell peppers, basil, fresh chili, and jasmine rice. The portion size was more generous than I expected. The blend of chicken, vegetables, and chili was mouthwatering. It wasn’t very spicy, but the balance of flavors was perfect. I highly recommend this delicious dish!“

But the real surprise here is the exceptionally personal and friendly service. I had a short convo with the owner, Kob, as I was picking up my order. I mentioned to her that their location is perfect when I have to run my senior mother over to Kaiser for doctors’ appointments. I get in my car and drive away and 10 min later, my phone is ringing and I see it’s Kob’s Kitchen on the caller ID. I thought they must have forgotten an item in my order, no biggie. No, dear reader, that was not the case. Kob was calling out of concern for my senior mom and wanted to make sure we knew there were sliced jalapeños on the bahn mi we’d ordered. Seriously, SO kind of her to do that. That level of sincere care feels rare and special, which is why I am compelled to share my experience. I love supporting local businesses like this!“

Perfectly balanced and satisfying flavors and unreal quality of the dishes. Service was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was great as well. “Nice, located of Willow shopping center. Several eateries nearby including a drive in Starbucks. I looked around and decided to go for the Won Thai restaurant, ordered the lunch special, fried catfish with rice, on the plate I got a colorful plate with a scoop of steam rice next to pan fried filet of catfish with plenty of green beans, fresh tomato pieces, sautéed on a lite curry sauce and sliced purple and green cabbage garnish.“

“I think I just found my favorite restaurant in Vallejo — Elephant Thai Cuisine at 3636 Sonoma Blvd. They just opened 2 months ago after moving their restaurant here from the Los Angeles area.
The food was incredibly flavorful, the service was amazing, and the interior was really nicely decorated.
I got Kao Soi (pictured) which is a Northern Thai curry noodle soup that I haven’t found anywhere else in Vallejo — and this was the best version of it I’ve ever had. We also got the Beef Nam Tok Salad (pictured) which was super herbal and spicy. The Panang Curry (not pictured) was possibly the best we’ve had; it tasted very rich and homemade and not like it was made from a premade curry paste like a lot of places do.“
