We stopped by East Bay Spices while we were at a concert at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, and we’re so glad we did. The cocktails were amazing, and the food was delicious. I tried the paneer tacos and my wife had the empanada — we both really enjoyed everything.
The staff was very friendly, and even though the food took a little longer than expected, the quality was absolutely worth it. Special thanks to the bartender and the whole team for the great experience....read full review
Absolutely loved this for a late date-night after taking in a movie at BAMPFA next door. Delicious food & cocktails and a wonderful ambiance. So rare in Berkeley to have a late night spot that serves up vibes & immaculate dining

East Bay Spice is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves bold, flavorful cuisine. Every dish is perfectly seasoned with authentic spices, and the menu offers a great variety, including a Tikka Masala dish and lamb Tikka Masala that is spicy but good with great portions. The food is fresh, delicious, and flavorful, and the drinks are well made. The cocktail bar has a nice gin collection and an amazing agave collection. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, with a great dim interior and an upstairs chillout seating area for bigger groups. It is a Berkeley treasure with stellar cocktails, delicious dishes, and awesome Dj appearances. Service is quick and friendly, and they serve food late. This place is perfect for casual dining, special occasions, or late night food and drink.
