“It’s a small establish but the food was fantastic. I had chicken kebabs, rice and hummus. Berkeley does have a good amount of wonderful places to eat and this one was really great. I’m glad I came here to eat and cannot wait to go again.“

“On June 22, 2025, it was the day my mother passed. My daughter and I had my aunt's and my cousin's support at the hospital. Later that evening after we left the hospital, my cousin wanted us to join him and my aunt for dinner and we headed to Alborz in Berkeley. Fantastic Kebab place. Dinner was delicious. I ordered the Koobideh, which comes with 2 skewers of kebab, rice, and a tomatoe. My daughter ordered the Sultani, which comes with one meat skewer and one chicken skewer, also with rice and a tomatoe. I have taken some photos for you to see how beautiful the platters are. Service was awesome as usual. My daughter and I have dined at Alborz before and we have never been disappointed. There is also music playing while dining.“

“Amazingly great food. This is one of those gems that make a neighborhood. Attached to a gas station, but dont let that fool you, this is one of those truck-driver diaspora bodegas where they sell excellent Halal food for the many muslim drivers who need Halal foos along their route.“

“We both had lambs ( the Mrs had the kebab with salad and soup and I had the lamb & beef platter). My plate was made special by the dressing , but my wife’s was the better deal as the smokey flavored meat was out of the ballpark sarap!“

Great atmosphere – The restaurant had a warm and welcoming vibe ,you can reserve your preferable seat.

🍽️ Good variety of Afghan dishes – The buffet included traditional Afghan items like Qabili Pallow, Eggplant Borani (Bonjan Borani), Kofta Challow,Bolani,Mantoo dumplings etc.

Buffet Iftar: in ramadan good value for a buffet – Reasonable price considering the amount and variety of food.Dates, appetizers-Pakora and all the other Afghan dishes.Well-timed service – Food was ready around sunset which made it convenient to break the fast.
