“Been ordering from Jungdon for a while now and figured it's time for a review. I always order one of their Deluxe sets - Anshim is my go to and Deungshim is 2nd fav since I like my katsu a bit chewy. Tried the chicken and cheese katsu too but they're just ok imo.
~$30 a set sounds high at first but I can easily have it over 2-3 meals, which is awesome.

Flavor is also consistent - Always love how the potato salad, cabbage slaw, sauces and katsu come together! Miso soup is a great addition too given East Bay is quite often a bit cold.“

“Since departing my office in the FiDi during Covid, I've missed Proper Food on a daily basis. I never thought prepackaged food could be so fresh and delicious.They get their food delivered every single morning right before opening. They have such a wide selection of foods for any and all dietary needs. Everything I have gotten here has been delicious and I am a hard person to please (vegan, generally food neutral).Also, checkout is so quick and easy. No lines, just grab and go. And their prices are really great - $10 and under for most meals.In fact, after writing this, I'm going to make my way to the FiDi to Proper Food for lunch today.“

“I love the location here. So close to my bank branch. I can grab something really quick for the morning or lunch. There is no wait time except for the food to warm up. It makes sense. I love their business model. Clean, concise. Close Friday and at 2:30pm. It makes a good life for the employees without night shift. It’s no oil, grease in there. Separate kitchen from afar. Simple drink menu with just tea and coffee. Very simple. Concise. Food menu diverse. Different cultural ingredients. Never get tired. I know it could be expensive but for this type of business, it’s a boutique. I can’t complain. The portion of the food is just enough. It’s not too much. I don’t like it when I was served a lot and I have to eat a lot to get filled or sleepy. It’s just proper. I am eating proper. Good business owner. Good thinking. Efficient. Great job. No bs. No nonsense. Modern life. Easy. Quick. Healthy.“

“I've been to many different locations for rooster and rice across San Francisco. This had been my first time at this location and it was nice. It definitely was given a corporate lunch location as it's under office buildings. They forgot to add a few items to our order. The food always delivers though, especially if you order the traditional dish.“

“This is kind of a weird place, but once you get it, you’ll love it.

This isn’t a food court, or dining hall. It’s a kitchen with take out only. You order online, then pick up and eat your food elsewhere. The cutlet I had was magnificent.

There is no “service”, and the “atmosphere” is a bunch of loudmouth delivery dudes waiting on orders outside.“

“The other day my family noticed a few restaurants were at this same place. We decided to order pickup. The food came out so fast and hot we werent even there yet!When we arrived the entrance was a little weird with a lot of delivery guys but we just walked up to the counter and the attendant was very nice. We got our orders and left all within 15 seconds.I will forsure be ordering delivery from here in the future as I'm sure its Quick!“
