“If I could leave 100 stars for the service and atmosphere I would. This is a historic Googie design building by architect Helen Liu Fong which is what drew me here. Food is standard diner fare and our server was really good humored and funny.“

“Our first time to LA, from Kentucky. We stayed in a hotel just down the street and stumbled in. The food is fantastic, the menu has something for everyone, the atmosphere is perfect on a rainy LA evening, and the staff is super friendly. I recommend it for anyone who loves Tex-Mex in a great atmosphere. Did I mention the prices of the food? Too Cheap.“
“This little cafe is absolutely a hidden gem. Found this place on accident on an outing but stayed because the food and hot drinks smelled amazing. The vibes here were serene, peaceful. The views were breathtaking and the service felt like I was at a family's house since they were very attentive. Super welcoming. The food was all reasonably priced and very filling. “Located in Studio City and serving patrons since 1964, Vivian’s is a classic diner option in the valley. It’s very small on the inside with only a few large tables. They also have more seating in the back, but we were able to find a seat for two in the front for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will be metered street parking, which is not that hard to find in the valley. Our server was polite and all of our items came out quickly. I am giving 4/5 stars because the food quality isn’t as good as some other places close by like More Than Waffles, Bob’s, or Paty’s and the inside could use a cleaning. The floor was very dirty under our table and the table next to us even complained about it.I started off with a Coffee, which is my go to order at any diner. For my meal I chose the Eggs Benedict with a Biscuit on the side. The Eggs Benedict had a nice flavor but the eggs were undercooked and runny. They did not have the true poached consistency with the yolk covering the dish, it was too watery and splashed out as soon as I cut into it. Also the biscuit was as flat as an English muffin and really lacked the biscuit or buttermilk flavor. We also ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were actually very good, but it’s also very hard to mess up pancakes. It was not a bad meal by any means, but certainly not as good of one as others I have had close by on the same street.Overall I would say it could be an option if you’re already in the valley and the more popular spots have too long of wait times.Parking: no parking lot, only metered street parkingWheelchair accessibility: no stairs or incline to enter/exit“
“CUTEEEE, I've heard of U Dessert Story in SF and was excited to hear they were opening in Santa Monica along a brunch spot! The location is beautiful and interior is so fun for brunch. The wait has been popping off so I'd recommend joining the waitlist early! I had the breakfast plate with their millionaire bacon and the scone was my absolute favorite- literally the best scone I've had lol!!!“

“I just went to Red Maple Cafe for the first time today and really enjoyed the experience. My wife mother and daughter all loved our food and the ambiance. The fried chicken and waffles were very flavourful and unique because of the blackberry sauce they served with the waffles. The fried chicken was juicy crispy and flavorful. The blackberry sauce also mixed nicely with some hot sauce! The brisket burrito my wife got was very good, flavorful and tender brisket. Their house breakfast potatoes were also very good. Spiced but not spicy so that even my daughter approved and enjoyed. Their custom coffees were very fun too as you can have them take a picture of your choosing and put it on the cream of their coffee!Our server Brian was also excellent and attentive. Also I recommend driving because the area around the shop is a little rough with all the homeless people off their heads. Other than that absolutely incredible food.“

I came here after reading that they used pearl sugar and I hoped it would taste like Belgium and shops in the USA that make it (Waffles and Dinges in NYC for example or Zinneken's Belgian waffles in Boston). “Really sweet place with a quiet cheel vibe, old timey decor, filled with little pictures and you can see the cook working through the little window.Food was great, arrived piping hot, hashbrowns were crispy on the outside but hearty and soft on the inside, omellete was cooked great and with the right amount of additions(i took feta, mushrooms, spinach), toast was hot but not burnt, pancake soft and yummi, only thing i would improve is capuccino arrived too hot to drink with my meal.Waitress was very kind and sweet with a good service attitude.
