The place is getting demolished 😔
So sad what happened to this iconic restaurant. Permanently closed. Expect it will get bulldozed.
Great hotel in great location to missions and Solvang. Accidentally said there's no breakfast. But from 7 to 10AM, they offer juices, coffee, hot chocolate and teas. Additionally they have a variety muffins and Danish from a local bakery. Different flavours of instant oatmeal are available too. All complimentary.
Clean and enjoyable place to stay.
Pea Soup Andersen's was a well-known restaurant famous for its signature split pea soup. The establishment had a long history, with many visitors recalling fond memories of dining there as children during family road trips. It featured unique decor and architecture, including stained glass and an "Animal Park" plaque, which gave it a nostalgic atmosphere. While some visitors didn't particularly enjoy the pea soup, many found it excellent and homemade, making it a true must-stop for those passing through. The restaurant also had a gift shop where guests could buy Danish cookies and other souvenirs. Unfortunately, Pea Soup Andersen's has closed and will be torn down, including the hotel, to make way for new developments.
