We only have the memories now. I just read that it is gone now. Closed for good. We visited December 2023 and the Pea Soup was as good as always. We stopped and took our photos in the cutouts. I took photos of the plaque that tells about how there used to be an "Animal Park." The stained glass on the adjacent pub was so beautiful. I wish I would have known, I would have picked up some kitchy items from the gift shop. I will miss this place.
We got to visit this gem last November 2023 after Thanksgiving! News announced they're going to tear the whole place down, including the hotel, which we stayed at the night before. I'm glad I got to take photos and videos with my husband. I wasn't a huge fan of the pea soup sad to say. I'm glad I got to taste a sample of it before I ordered. But my husband ate his all gone & he LOVED it!! I'm just not a peas girl unfortunately:( was able to get some fun little Christmas gifts...read full review

Sad to see this institution close. As kids, we looked forward to the bottomless bowl of soup on family roadtrips. The soup wasn't sp vascular but the decor and old building marked a bygone era.
