We found it problematic that the food was also served in plastic bowls in the restaurant.
It would have been nice if the owner had prepared tables for us outside - there were only tables for two. So we had to start moving tables ourselves.”

Food came out at vastly different times for our large group though which is always a bit awkward and a bummer as I like when everyone has their meals. Also, they gave me a very small side of rice for my huge bowl of delicious curry, so I had to eat half like a soup and steal some noodles from my son's dish to dip in. (Rice is cheap so not sure why they're stingy with it).”

“I love soup so I’m happy this has opened near me. I ordered 2 days soup cleansing. They guys in the shop advised 16oz (as it says on the card) however, 16oz of soup 5 x a day would make me sick and fat! So, me and my husband split the tubs and had 8oz per tub. Our 2 day turned into 4 days. I’m unsure of you are really meant to eat the whole 16oz or not because the guys in the store said yes and sold me all this for two days. But definitely half would be the right amount. What I can say is every soup and broth today tasted great. I’m looking forward to day 2 of 4 lol”

“10 Speed Coffee is a hidden gem tucked behind Calabasas Rd in a quiet little nook--not exactly the kind of place you'd stumble upon unless you're lost or in-the-know. It's a sleek, cozy spot, but the two entrances make the line feel like a choose-your-own-adventure-especially when it's busy and the baristas are working at lightning speed.

The back patio is where this place really shines--shaded, peaceful, and centered around a small decorative pond that adds a surprisingly zen vibe. It's ideal for a first date, a quiet work session, or tossing around big ideas (my wife and I treat it like our unofficial creative office-slash-people-watching HQ).

The cortado? Strong, smooth, and Cuban-grandma approved--which is a gold standard in my book. The avocado toast is a sleeper hit: arugula, sesame seeds, cucumber, a dash of spice--it's basically an edible spa day.
Now, about those ceiling heaters. They're always on in the mornings and will slowly roast you like a free-range chicken. You can ask to have them turned off, but it becomes a weird social dance with the table next to you--do they want it off? Are you the problem?

Still, between the strong coffee, great food, and tranquil vibes, it's a solid spot. Just bring a fan... or maybe a rotisserie timer.”

“Redemption. I visited sharkys last month and didn't have a good experience. I put a review and to my surprise i ended speaking with one of the owners. I'm not the type to give establishments second chances yet when one of the owners reaches out to apologize then I decided to give it a go. I walked in today and was greeted with a smile. I placed my order and had a seat. My food was brought out to me and the clerk even took time to double check my order. I came back and began to try it... I feel as if the owner actually listened. Food was on point, employees were nice, even before they knew I was there for the 2nd chance. I applaud this company for acknowledging when someone has a bad experience and offers to make it right. I will be returning and I do suggest if anyone is near agoura and las virgenes, stop by sharkys, you'll be pleasantly surprised”

If you pay attention to the sign on the counter, it explains the reason for the name change. Same great tasting goodie’s. I will continue to take my drive all the way from West Covina. “We went for dinner with the family on a Tuesday night. The place has a high ceiling and is very open - much like an attic space. The counter at the front has a huge refrigerated case with nice looking pastries. We didn't try the pastries. We were seated and the waiter came quickly. She took our drink order and came back for our entree order right after. We all chose pasta. I had the bolognese tagliatelle. My husband had the plain red sauce. My husband reported that his pasta was great. Mine sauce was good but not great. It was soft and lacked depth, or character. The pasta itself was good, not the pasta. My main concern was the noise level. Granted, I'm not young, but the hard floors and high ceilings weren't softened by any soft covers, so it was deafening to me.”

“Great place, the rice cakes were the best. You can't make reservations, so there's usually a wait time that depends on how early you get there. Good food and drinks in a small place. Everything tastes fresh, and you can see them making it if you sit at the bar.”

“To be honest I don't know where to begin...perhaps explosion of wow inside of my mouth! The tacos here are amazeballs covered in awesome sauce. I eat here regularly for lunch and have become ADDICTED! The food is amazing, the service is bar none, and I love the large screen tv while you wait for your order. It's hard to imagine food this great being inside a Chevron but don't let that make you miss out on truly terrific tacos! There are lots of other snacks and items to be found in this location that makes going for tacos all the better! The price...fuggedabout it! Taqueria Las Virgenes I love you!”

“Sunlife’s Million Dollar Smoothie continues to be one of my favorite things ever. I think they’ve brought the price down a little since Covid?? (Or I’m delusional. It’s still pricey for a smoothie but utterly worth it.

The young woman working the counter in the Calabasas store when I went in to grab it was super friendly, authentically so, and was running things with efficiency and kindness. Really impressed.

Will definitely return (it’s my favorite smoothie in the world, after all).”
