“Lots of great Mexican restaurants around but if you want a nice sit down and chat atmosphere then this is the place in Diamond Springs. We've been here several times and we're new to the area. Never been disappointed.
Update: Usually have the chimichanga and love it, tried the super nachos and am happy to have another tasty dish on my list. Next time, bacon avocado burger.“

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

If I had anything that I would say wasn’t my favorite it would be the beer cheese dip that came with our garlic bread( bread was great). I am Irish and I expected a nice creamy cheddar cheese with a beer influence. Unfortunately, it was so spicy that I couldn’t taste anything but the heat. Maybe they should offer a milder version along with the spicy. Kinda bummed because I wouldn’t order it again. Just an idea.“

“A really great little meal spot in downtown Placerville. I stopped by here on the way back from South Lake Tahoe and I’m so glad I did. I got the Italian Pasty (which was basically a calzone with flaky pie crust instead) and it was great. Lots of good pie choices and a nice if tiny dining area with cozy decor. Would stop by again!“

“Stopped in our way home today & it was great! We had quick service and loved the touch of tic tac toe on the table while we waited. I think the guy who helped us with named Taylor - he was great too. The burgers were delicious & cooked well!“

“The last visit was the end of 21. We decided to try again, and am I glad we did! Friendly lady answered the phone, took my to go order. We ordered egg rolls(which were really spring rolls), pot stickers that were stuffed full and very delicious, bbq pork chow mein(noodles were more like chow fun), honey walnut prawns that were absolutely delicious, sweet and sour pork absolutely delicious, and chicken with string beans which was absolutely amazing! I am sure we have enough leftovers for a few more meals!
We will go again, absolutely will be our go to place for amazing homemade chinese food“

“Best wine tasting experience we have had in a very long time! We were greeted by two friendly beautiful family dogs. We met Marcos the owner's son and had a very wonderful conversation. The we went to the tasting room and we were treated with a very warm friendly smile from the daughter. She did an excellent job of explaining the different flight options. We sat down and began are tasting experience. The flight's were amazing between the whites and the reds, best varieties and flavors within the flight. The daughter timed it perfect and we never had to wait for our next tasting. She did an excellent job explaining the different wines and where they came from. In between pours provided great conversation and warm smiles. We then went over to the gazebo overlooking the area and enjoyed the best fire cooked pizza! The owner came over and talked to us and introduced us to his lovely wife. We enjoyed a great conversation. The owner share his hear and vision for the winery. He asked if we were taken care of and needed anything. Over all it was such a pleasant experience at a value you can't find anywhere else. The pricing options were excellent and the varieties we're out of this world! Let's just say there is a little piece of Italy in Somerset! Perfect ambiance and beautiful hosts! We definitely will be coming back and if you need to get away from it all and get a great value for your money..THIS IS THE GO TO! Thank you Mastroserio Winery, two thumbs up and 10 stars! “I’ve been looking for a good Italian restaurant since I’ve been a little homesick, and I finally found it! Can’t say enough about the food here, I was so impressed! “I found this Take out restaurant from an article in The Sacramento Bee. Timmy's is not easy to find, but well worth the effort, It is located in a small complex on Main Street in Placerville near the Court House. The menu is very eclectic. I had the spicy prawn sandwich with a side of tater tots. Both were made fresh and served in a timely manner. The sandwich was flavorful and not overly spicy. The staff was informative and helpful. The prices were a bit high but well worth it for the quality.“

“Unbelievable food! I am so excited to have discovered this foothill gem on a whim. The Place is a little out of the way, but WELL worth the trip. It wouldn't be a stretch to say this is the best food in El Dorado County. The cuisine is Italian fusion rather than straight Italian, but it works incredibly well! Make sure you start with the Piemontese Bagna Cauda (AKA "Hot Bath"). It's the best flat bread you'll ever have, without hyperbole: crispy outside, wonderfully doughy inside. For main courses… take your pick. The pizza— traditional Napoli Italian style— is perfect, no matter which one you choose. The other entrees are just as good. Don’t be put off by the use of polenta in place of traditional pasta. I was skeptical at first, but the first bite washed away all misgivings. These people know how to cook! Bene, Cirino’s, Sergio’s, Three Forks… all the best Italian places in the foothills will have to fight for second place.“

“Nothing wrong with service. They take your order at the counter, make the pizza, and bring it out when done.
Otherwise you get your own drinks. Or if you have a buffet salad. This is good pizza and a nice clean place to eat it in. I am going to try a pasta dish next time.

We have eaten here twice on a Sunday evening while on a road trip. I think all the other sit down restaurants in Pollock Pines must close at 6 on a Sunday. It's no wonder they seem to be plenty busy, with to go food for the locals wearing their jammies.
A dad and adult son came in with the exact same plaid my wife and I have. Being here and eating there twice, I can say that Buffalo plaid is leading the fashion trend with both author and local to go customers.
So if you are driving by and hungry. You won't be disappointed here. If you are driving in your comfies, and hungry. You will feel very welcomed. Though staff wears pants.“
