“Great spot for a quick, tasty lunch!
Hibachi San has some of the best-priced poke bowls around—super fresh and super satisfying. It’s the perfect stop if you’re craving something light but filling. I love grabbing a bowl and heading to the beach for a chill lunch with a view. The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and the service is always friendly. Definitely one of my go-to spots! My only complaint is the portion is a bit small and they don't offer poke by the pound like in hawaii.“

“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.“

Perfect wontons in a light not overly salty broth that also contained pieces of shrimp, chicken, pork and cabbage. Can't wait to try more from the menu.

“Usually In N Out is 5 star for quality of food, price, and service. Tempted to give 3 stars for this visit alone.

Our visit: friendly cashier, but maybe spending too much effort on being too nice. Missed a burger we ordered. Of course, a little fault on our part cuz they most likely read off the order to us.

In addition to the missing burger, another burger was totally off when we got home- 3x3 (paid for it too according to receipt) we ordered was a double double and wrong toppings.

So 2/5 burgers messed up. Not a great ratio.

But In N Out is solid all around usually, so I guess 4 stars is OK.“

“Smallish restaurant with tiny parking lot of about 10 spots shared between 3 businesses. Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“

There are many yellow deli's in the US and abroad. I love taking family here because of the peaceful environment in which to enjoy a meal made with Love.“

“Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!“

“I love this place because the food and drinks are consistently good, but I also feel like the customer service isn't consistent. Some workers are super friendly and accommodating and others aren't. I've had to ask for my food to be unpackaged (twice on separate occasions)because they didn't ask me if I was dining in which I always do because I spend some time in the cafe.“

“Ciao is our new local favorite Italian go-to. We are fairly new to the area, having moved from Carlsbad where there is no shortage of excellent restaurants, and Ciao is right up there with wonderful food! The atmosphere was nice, casual and comfortable , the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent!

We were also pleasantly surprised to find that they also offer delivery with the two big food delivery services, and the to-go food is almost as good as dining in. Serving sizes are quite large giving you at least two meals per order.“

At the time I thought both staff members were extremely friendly and the coffee was delicious as I waited for my ride outside. A few days later I realized I left my hydro flask outside on one of their tables and I was back in Charlotte NC. I reached out to them and Jason was extremely responsive and sent it back to me no questions asked. This just shows you the type of quality individuals that work here and having killer coffee and a clean cool establishment are icing on the cake. Anytime I’m in Oceanside, I will be definitely stopping in!“

“Hands down the best BÚN ĐẶC BIÊT - Special Combination Vermicelli Noodle I have ever had in my life! Everything to the meats and egg rolls and noodles was on point! NOT one piece of meat was dry! That’s how it should be. They all were moist and very tender and had extremely good and power flavor. Props to the chefs. Other restaurants need to take note and learn from Annam Pho & Sandwiches. “Found this location from a recommendation from one of the exotic tree nurseries down the street. Next to a main road but not to busy or intrusive on our experience. The food was amazing and most important. Fresh authentic, spiced really well and I could not be more impressed with the quality and the chef. Beautiful atmosphere on the flower filled outside cozy seating area. A great place to spend time with a loved one on a bike ride. Will be going back for sure when in the area for sure. We visited in the morning in April 2025.“

“We never came here for dinner when it was just Pacific Coast spirits because it always looked empty. But we popped in at one point and realized it was actually a pretty cool place to hang with great beer.

We learned that the owners of South Coast brewing took it over and they were redoing the menu. So we came in today and it was absolutely fabulous you guys. We had the chicken schnitzel and the Cajun pasta. I also had the best hazy beer of my life.

I really stand by these owners and definitely check out South brewing as well… great people and they do an amazing job. I really hope to see this place fills up and becomes a hot spot. Great people, great food, great drinks.“
