Khanh's Restaurant Reviews
I've been going here for 30ish years. Moved away but every time we visit the bay area this is our 1 restaurant we always visit.
This Vietnamese restaurant has been owned by the same family for decades, and it's clear they take pride in their craft. The staff is warm, attentive, and consistently provides great service. Their menu is diverse and full of memorable high-quality dishes; I've been enjoying their pho bo for nearly 2 decades back when this place was across from Santa Row. The restaurant is well-maintained with a beautiful walled zen garden visible from the restaurant interior whose scenery changes...read full review

Khanh's Restaurant, a well-loved spot in San Jose since the late 1970s, specializes in delicious Vietnamese cuisine. The menu features Fresh Rolls, Egg Rolls, Vietnamese Chow Mein, Noodle Salads, and flavorful Pho. This family-owned establishment takes pride in using fresh vegetables and serving hot dishes. Customers appreciate the warm and welcoming space, which creates a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The staff, led by the owner, Mary, are known for their attentive and friendly service, making guests feel at home. Recent reviews highlight the consistently fresh, flavorful, and comforting food, with dishes like vermicelli, spring rolls, and grilled meats receiving high praise. The coconut udon soup is often called the best, and the banh mi and fresh rolls are favorites. The restaurant's ambiance has a charming, old-school feel, and the outdoor fog machine/outdoor solarium adds a fun touch, even if the interior could use some updating. Service remains attentive, with food arriving quickly and appropriately paced. Prices are generally reasonable, though drinks tend to be a bit more expensive. Overall, Khanh's Restaurant continues to be a popular choice for those craving tasty Vietnamese dishes in a clean and cozy setting, with the owner’s dedication evident in both the food and service.
