First time here, the BLT w/avacado was very good & potato salad also really good with pepper added. My girlfriend said her Cali burger was great but the fries not quite crunchy. Overall great, nice staff, & quick service.
This little treasure is adjacent to the Carmel Post Office where the locals must pick-up their mail. The booth seats are street level , weather permitting the windows are open. Greg, the owner, is almost always there talking with the patrons, behind the grill or lending a hand. I see some folks summed Greg up as grumpy - he can be, but he's really a super guy, always ready with a tease or a story. Friar tucks is a wonderful place to eat. wonderful owner and i love his laughter and his jokes. he make the place he owns lively. The owner is a wonderful person. his food is home cooking.
