This is a hidden gem you will find in Carmel downtown. The food was really delicious in addition to its cozy atmosphere. The brother of the chef took our order, who was very gentle and detailed, gave us excellent recommendations and descriptions. Oh don't forget to try their deserts!!

Very nice servers. Food was flavorful but uneven: great gnocchi, octopus app was luke warm, wine selection was great, zucchini flower was a bit light on zucchini. Enjoyed the experience; just need a bit more food consistency.

Adorable and off the beaten path, Il Tegamino is a gem in Carmel. I wasn't thrilled with the pasta special I got, but my partner's ragu was incredible.

What a fantastic restaurant! The food was outstanding very authentic Italian. I saw dishes on the menu I have not seen since my last trip to Italy. The waitstaff was excellent really knew the food, how it was prepared, the best wine to drink to complement each course. The restaurant is quaint but not easy to find. It is behind (not beside) the Cottage of Sweets on Ocean. Wander back behind the Sweet Shop and head down the alley and it leads you to the restaurant in a very charming courtyard. I am a resident of Carmel and never knew it existed, so happy I found this restaurant!!
Food and service were excellent. Loudest restaurant I've ever eaten in. Might be good for those who like a party atmosphere, but much too loud for us again food service were excellent. 
The food was amazing. My raviolis were a little small though but still delicious. And the ambiance was cute. The deserts were so yummy. We got the mini donuts! Oh my goodness they were tasty. Thank you so much and we will be back to try more! :)

Our first time here did not disappoint. We ate on the patio and even though it was a cool, rainy night, there were ample heaters and great awning that kept us comfortable. This place is authentic, food is fantastic, and the staff was amazing. We will be going back.

This is my husband's favorite Italian restaurant in Carmel where we live. It is alway excellent, food well-presented and the ragu is his go-to dinner selection! If Florence or Roma Lazio are not an option, this is the next best thing!
Was the worst Italian food I have ever eaten. Pre boiled limp pasta, flavors bland, fried zucchini was soggy mess in oil. I’ve eaten in Italian restaurants all over the world, it takes a lot to say it’s the worst. I told them the pasta was pre boiled and soggy and they redid it and brought the same pre boiled mess redone with the same result. A big disappointment.

The food wast outstanding and the service was good. However, if you're looking for a larger menu than they offer, along with a better wine list, and better air circulation inside, you might be disappointed. Also, the table are WAY too close together. But again, the food is outstanding!
Amazing meal! The server/owner was an absolute gem! He went above and beyond to guide us through the menu options and lead us through a 5 star dining experience! Will definitely revisit next time we're in Carmel!
