“This place is quite awesome. The food is absolutely delicious and well cooked. The baby back ribs were exquisite and packed a lot of meat on them. The onion rings are also crispy, delicious and flavorful. The food is pricey though, but you will get good portions cooked perfectly, so it's a fair trade in the end. Plenty of good decor of Clint Eastwood as he originally owned the place until 1999.The only downside here is parking is an actual nightmare. Took nearly half an hour to find a spot before I could go inside, so be prepared for that. The parking is the reason the atmosphere only got 3 stars as it does bring the experience down quite a bit.“
“My first time at this restaurant. My kind of place. I ordered the Fiesta burger with their slaw. We also ordered a basket of onion rings. The food was delicious and plentiful. Only negative was our server must have had a bad day. Not very personable. I truly hope it was just because her day had been difficult. Definitely will go back.“
“The staff? 10 out of 5 stars The food? 8 out of 5 stars The service? 10 out of 5 stars The ambiance/ vibes? 10 out of 5 stars This team is so refreshing, genuine, and very easy to talk to and approach. The manager was very helpful and informative. Kendal was very welcoming and helped my family and I understand and truly enjoy our experience. So glad to have such a fun little spot in Cannery Row! Thank y'all for such a great time!“
“I walked in the last day of my work trip and wish it was the first. Was greeted immediately after walking in asking if I'd been taken care of yet, then given a table right away.Amy gave me a menu and took my drink order while I figured out what I wanted to eat.Lee approached me next asking if I'd been helped and offered suggestions for food and answered all my questions.I had my drink before I knew what I wanted to eat!Amazing cohesiveness here, I wish I'd found this spot on the first day of my trip.I'll definitely come back to the area and when I do, Monarch is #1 on my list!Parking: Parked in the middle of the street on a busy Friday night.“
“Fun discovery. Friendly staff fun attempt at a British Pub. Husband tried Chicken Pot pie. Obviously fresh made large chunks of carrots and nice looking peas . I tried Beef and mushroom. Tender if large chunks of steak. Side vegetables also very fresh. Tried the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. Served warm with plenty of sauce and cream on the side. Moist warm sticky. Everything a sticky toffee should be. We've walked by the signs for this place often. Glad we finally went down those steps and tried it.“
“Well the reviews were perfect they do have the best fish and chips the cod was amazing. Great selection of beer!! Kelly was our waitress, bartender, and she was so friendly it's like we had known her forever. The pub looked just like you would have expected. Excellent historical artifacts. It was great to see people playing cribbage and enjoying themselves. Hope to see you again soon!!“
“Nice experience for a late lunch on a cold and windy day. Food was probably unhealthy (calamari, cod sandwich, clam chowder) but really good. Coffee was freshly made and surprisingly strong for American standards. The waiter was friendly, helpful with tips for our planned route to San Luis Obispo, and reasonably quick without rushing us.“
“Best sports bar around! Lots of TVs, you can request a game and they will usually have it. Extra innings may be a little iffy but other than that, they usually have everything!Food is always great. Staff is great. Patio out back is awesome.“
“This is a great pub, honestly one of the best pints of Guinness I've had in the US. We had some snack food, fries and calamari which was excellent. There is a separate games room with a small shuffle board and a fussball table to keep the kids entertained. Will definitely be back when in the area!“
