It's rather amusing that I worked about 10 minutes away from Top Shelf for 19 years and it wasn't until I retired a few years back that I finally made it here. I was across the street at Scottsdale quite often to visit the parents of "challenging" students but never realized a gastronomic paradise was waiting across the street. I've been trying to find the best Taco Tuesday deal in the South Bay for 3 years and I finally found it....can't believe this gem was hidden in Carson this whole time! $1.50 Tacos (Al Pastor, chicken, veggie, carnitas, tripe, & I think Cabeza?) & $3 Beers (modelo, Modelo negra, tecate, dos equis, IPAs, corona). We frequent Top Shelf Tacos when we're craving tacos. There are a lot of taco places round here, but we always come back to this place. The staff are super friendly and nice! If you've never been here, they'll take time to explain the items on their menu if you're unsure. There's also a "salad bar" type of of area for condiments like salsas, onions, cilantro, and radish, so you can fill up to your taco's content!
