About Sol Y Sombra

Sol Y Sombra is a restaurant with a new team that is working hard to provide a great experience for its customers. The melted goat cheese with honey, almonds, and berries, along with the chicken empanada and "mac & cheese," were delicious. The vegetarian paella had too much paprika, which overpowered the vegetable flavors. The staff, including the waiter Julio and chef Cecelia, were attentive and open to feedback. While the service was a bit inconsistent, the cocktails like Anejo Old Fashioned and "Don't Call Me Sherry" were well-made. The Scallop Croquettes and Chorizo Dates were excellent, but the Paella Mixta was just okay. The Brussel Sprouts & Chorizo, Cheese & Ham Croquettes, and Mussels Fisherman Sauce were all delicious options from the lighter poolside menu. Despite some mixed experiences, Sol Y Sombra offers a nice location for decent cocktails and tapas.
