“Good great place for coffee“

“If you're looking for a new cafe to try out in Citrus Heights, you have to check out Greenhouse Cafe! This place is fantastic, and I cannot recommend it enough. First of all, the banana nut muffin is absolutely delicious. It's the perfect blend of flavors and is moist and fluffy. I would go back just for this muffin alone! But there's so much more to try at Greenhouse Cafe. The menu is full of amazing options, from breakfast items like avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches to salads, sandwiches, and more. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. Beyond the food, I was blown away by the generosity of the owner. I learned that the owner donated a lot of muffins to United Sikhs organization to help feed the homeless. This kind of kindness and generosity is truly admirable, and it only makes me want to support Greenhouse Cafe even more. Overall, if you're looking for a new go-to cafe in Citrus Heights, Greenhouse Cafe is definitely worth checking out. Great food, great service, and a great owner who cares about giving back to the community. I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu!“

“This is a great "hidden" Citrus Heights gem of a cafe! Had their Wednesday special that was a Korean beef dish w/noodles, rice and gyoza for only $7.50. It was amazing and so much that it made two meals for me and my husband! Next day went in for their CA roll Thursday special that I got for my daughter. She loved it. They sell various salads and sandwiches too. I've had their BLT w/avocado twice, but the daily specials are the best. Pastries, fruit/yogurt cups, coffee, teas, etc available. The couple that runs the business is very kind. Located inside the hospital, next to the police department and across the street from Sam's Club.“

“04/15/2023; 7:10 PM unfortunate experience… I came in to pick up my “to go” order. I stated I was there to get my order, I was asked my last name. I gave my last name, and staff member behind the kitchen counter area picked up my bag, looked in the bag, and said, “I will get you a cup for your tea.” Then, the manager behind the Counter abruptly inserted herself into the conversation by saying, “She said the cup is in the bag!” I said that isn’t what I heard. At this time the staff member handed me the cup. The manager was dismissive and made yet another unnecessary comment as if to make herself relevant. (Not sure why she felt so needy) I walked away and said perhaps a Google review is in order, and she said, “Oh, that’s not necessary, and said “have a nice day” in the most disingenuous tone. While all this was transpiring, she was giggling behind the counter with co-workers like a Junior high school girl. I found the laughter to be rude, and clear that my business was both unappreciated and minimized. This experience was definitely an exception from my typical good experiences. Not sure if it was a slow night and she needed to feel involved in a simple transaction. She should FOCUS on her people skills.“

“Came here on a whim after shopping with friends. We needed to sit down somewhere and rest. We ordered the mango tango smoothie and tuna sandwich and felt so refreshed after. The owners were very attentive. I definitely want to come back and try the vegan pastrami! Only con is that it felt warm in there.“

They've got a super friendly staff behind the bar, and a warm, and welcoming atmosphere in the cafe.

The Folsom Cafe is definitely in my rotation of my favorite shops in the town!“

“Excellent breakfast! The bacon is thick and tasty. I ask about raisin bread everywhere’s I go, no one ever has it, this place does! The cinnamon roll was a nice size, not so large to be obscene and had a nice flavor. My husband had the house made sausage patty and biscuit. He said both were quite good, good texture and flavor. The atmosphere is nice, not too loud, and has a nice train rolling around the wall. It was decorated for Easter very tastefully. Our new favorite place!“

“Such a hidden gem! This spot has the cozy, homey vibe you don’t get at big chain coffee shops. I loved the cute paintings for sale on the walls — it gives the space so much character. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect whether you want to relax or get some work done.

Even though they were busy, the staff still greeted me warmly and were incredibly kind. That alone makes a huge difference. The prices are very reasonable, and the food quality is excellent. I had the egg sandwich with a side of avocado and it was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed.

“I decided to try this place on a whim instead of my usual starbs run because starbs coffee is honestly low quality but it's convenient.

First off the place is easy to miss! Which is a shame because it is a cute little shop!

Today the shop was a little quiet (I went in about 830a). I honestly wasn't expecting much as most coffee shops are often subpar.

I did not catch the young lady's name who helped me but she was very friendly, when I told her it was my first time in she immediately offered to make a few suggestions if I needed it. I asked her what the favorite food item was, she suggested the Turkey Pesto Sandwich.

I must say it was fabulous! I find that Pesto is very hit or miss. If you are sensitive to spiciness I would just say there is a small hint of spice to the sandwich, which I found to be a pleasant surprise. The Turkey was fresh and the bread was toasted just right, small crunch but easy to bite into.

The place is very small, so there are only a few places to sit. I would bank on taking your coffee/food to go. I can see it feeling a bit crowded if more than a few people are waiting for their items.

I had a Hot Caramel Latte with almond milk, normally I would get nonfat/skim but they were out. Quite frankly, the almond milk added a pleasant nutty flavor to the drink rather than overpowering the drink. You can definitely taste the quality of the beans. I don't know if any of you have ever smelled Starbs espresso beans but I bought some to start making coffee at home and it smells like feet to me which prompted me to start exploring different beans and places. I am so glad I stopped in here and if I'm in the area again I'll be sure to be back!“
