“Dine in or take out it’s your preference. Come inside and be greeted with lovely music and brightly color portraits of various inspiring people. The secret menu of Selena bom bom is white mocha with toasted marshmallow and rose was so good !!!! As well as the mocha mazapan!!! Absolutely delicious !!! The breakfast sandwich was ordered to your specification’s. I loved the atmosphere and the service . The person that took our order was helpful and kind. As the manager or owner was talking with two little girls and made them smile with a little treat of mazapan . As they watched the artist who was painting on a canvas ( yes. They support a local artist and his artwork of beautiful artwork . It’s a must for sure in downtown Sacramento .“
“Kind bean is my favorite Ethiopian place! Every dish is fantastic. They have both vegetarian and meat options. Always tastes fresh! The Ethiopian spiced tea is so delightful on cold days, especially. Raw Kitfo is my all time favorite Ethiopian dish and their's is superb.“
“What a great idea to be able to sit awhile with friends and play a board game. Actually chat rather than text. Love the vibe. Didn't like the bus-perpson insisting on taking my plate before I finished eating my pastry. But I can overlook that because of the good time we all had.“
“The best sandwich I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of them. I think it’s the bread, it’s perfect. It keeps the sandwich from being soggy, it’s crispy and flavorful. Also the woman selling the sandwiches is a ray of sunshine if you’re there because someone you love is in the hospital nearby.“
“I love The Sandwich Spot so much! Best place for a sando. The Dutch crunch is perfect and fresh. This small location in an old midtown house turned store front that has hardwood flooring, plenty of inside seating and a restroom. I always add on the chocolate chip cookies and jalapeño potato chips which compliment every Sando in my opinion. The workers are fast and friendly. Ample street parking. Closes quite early so be sure to come before 3pm (LUNCH HOURS) Today I ordered 3 sandos. My mom and son both got the Kings Court with pepper jack on a French roll. I ordered the Sac Bee on Dutch crunch with pepper jack. Comes with marinated hot chicken, bacon, avocado, and choice of cheese. Be sure to add on all the fresh veggies for an elite sando experience. 10/10 highly recommend yum!“
“My husband & I are new to CA. We were told to get a great cup of coffee this was the place to go for that & more....that advice proved to be excellent! I can bring my dog while I go in it's great. The coffee I get is the Capricorn dark roast, it's a daily necessity for me. The service is always top notch & there's always a good vibes.“
“Scorpio Coffee is a unique gem in town which I have been visiting regularly since it opened. They use quality caffeine: coffee sourced from top-rated roasters nationwide and matcha that is unmatched in Sacramento! If you’re a newer visitor: anticipate seeing a new and delicious specialty drink and food menu (ft. locally sourced, in-season ingredients) that is different from previous visits or menus posted online. There is almost always a line, especially on weekends and there is limited seating indoors. Outdoor seating is weather dependent but could easily accommodate bigger parties. Overall Scorpio Coffee will be better enjoyed by those who are looking for an incredible coffee and dining experience and not a quick bite with coffee. That being said, I regularly take my order to-go but it is always worth any wait!“
“Some of the BEST pastries I’ve had in Sacramento. Food was well priced and the atmosphere is intimate and welcoming. Service was great. Definitely recommend stopping by for anyone who’s into Middle Eastern pastries or a quick snack/meal.“
“What a great hidden gem in downtown Sac! I stopped by after lunch, and they made an excellent Americano with great flavor that hit the spot. I always love a coffee shop with a great ambiance, and this place fits the bill. Stop in; you won't be disappointed!“
“He was outstanding. Very receptive, and the cost was fair. He set my garage up and got it going. He is such a lovely person. He came outside to find out why my garage wasn't working. He didn't charge us anything for it and turned down our gift, which was our power. He stated that it is his responsibility to look after us as his clients. He always makes it on time and is friendly.“
“Druthers in Sutter Park is a hidden gem! Their lattes are fantastic - perfectly smooth and flavorful. But the real star is the location. The outdoor patio offers a charming escape, perfect for soaking up the sunshine while enjoying your coffee, and the inside looks/feels very nice, clean, and cozy. I also tried their waffle, which was interesting, not what Im used to, but still good. I highly recommend checking it out!“
“Chocolate Bash is a delightful dessert haven that's sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. The moment you step in, you're greeted with the rich aroma of fine Belgian chocolate, which they import directly from Europe. The menu is a chocolate lover's dream, featuring a variety of treats from crepes and waffles to pancakes and fruits, all customizable with your choice of chocolate combinations. The Ferrero Rocher shake and the cheesecake waffle come highly recommended. What truly sets Chocolate Bash apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the owner. Their friendliness and dedication to customer satisfaction make every visit a pleasant experience. Whether you're indulging in their creamy puffs, sipping on aromatic Arabic coffee, or trying the unique sushi crepe with Cadbury chocolate, you're in for a treat. The staff is commendable for their hard work and positive attitude, ensuring that each guest leaves with a smile. With a 4.7-star rating, it's clear that Chocolate Bash is a cherished spot among locals. It's the perfect place to unwind and relish in the joys of chocolate. Don't miss out on this gem in Sacramento. Im sure you'll have a wonderful time indulging in their delicious offerings! ?Sheikh Family“
“Came here for the Beignets but ended up ordering more from their menu. We started with the Mardi Gras Beignets and it was so yummy. The Beignets sit on a creamy custard cream and three sauces. (Huckleberry, Strawberry and Peaches) My hubby got the stuffed french toast with Huckleberry sauce on the side. And I ordered the Cajun Egg Benedicts with "crispy" red skin potatoes. Our waitress recommended to get the crispy potatoes and it was so delicious. The service was amazing from beginning to end. Very friendly staff and they were on top of everything. Clean and fun decorations. Once you enter you get greeted by an alligator sitting on a molasses barrel. Forgot to take a photo . You just have to visit the place to see it. *They Offer Military Discount Overall, we had a great experience and the food and service were awesome.“
“It took me way too long to try this place. What a gorgeous experience! I ordered a cappuccino with the seasonal Wildwood syrup (floral and lavender forward). The inside of the cafe is clean and bright with a bar that's perfect for working or catching up with a friend. The outside patio is green and cozy. I will be back to try the tea and maybe a waffle.Locals in East Sacramento and River Park can easily walk to The Mill from either Folsom Blvd or by choosing the footpath behind CSUS.“
“Great pastries - I had the almond croissant. Wonderful flavor although on the drier side. Their light roast drip is 10/10 - still has great depth and flavor. Funky decor and good music playing in the background. Not too loud. Only saw a few outlets. Staff were all friendly and very fast. Good place to do some work remotely or homework.“
“This is an amazing local restaurant. The food was delicious. The staff were fun and welcoming. We loved the pets in the outdoor seating area. This is a nonalcoholic beverage location, but it looks like they make delicious drinks and have fun locally owned coffee selections. Don’t forget to add to the pet food money jar! ❤️“
“I had a cinnamon-honey oat latte, and it brought back memories of an Amish breakfast cake from my childhood. Satisfying and cozy without too much sweetness. The balance of spicy cinnamon with the thick, sweet, earthiness of the honey was perfect for a chilly, drizzly morning.Vegetarian options: The default milk is oat, so if you are avoiding animal products or lactose, this is a great option for you.“
“I drove past this place so many times. I finally had time to stop an check it out. I ordered the tuna melt an a chocolate covered strawberry parfait! LET ME TELL YOU! One bite of that parfait an I felt my soul melt in my seat an my spirt lift from how good this dessert was. I can not believe how good it was. I do not know how they were not sold out of this dessert! The tuna melt an fries were SO fresh! I highly recommend trying this place. An Please for the love of food!! Get a parfait! You will NOT be disappointed! Would have added a photo but I ate it all lol the people here were so nice as well!“
“I ordered the spinach, brown rice, mango grilled pork and teriyaki sauce. SO good and fresh. I ordered the tropical iced tea and it was great as well. Came with pineapple bits. Would definitely come back for a quick lunch spot again. Thanks T Bar!“
“Very tasty jerk chicken with rice n beans, I loved their homemade peanut dressing and their sorrel was perfectly tart! Lots of folks came in asking for their half curry half jerk plate- I'll have to try that next! check out this spot for yourself next time your at the Capitol!“
“Visited here for the first time after having it on my list of coffee shops. Loved the interior and we came on a slightly sunny day so the sun hit just right. I ordered a caramel macchiato but the barista clarified for me that those come in the smaller cups and asked if what I wanted was a caramel latte which makes a lot of sense. I will probably be ordering it as that from now on just to avoid any confusion. Coffee was a solid 9/10. Great study spot and very breezy as they leave the door open.“
“I had a craving for pistachio Turkish delight and found my way here. I ended up getting a variety pack of goods.Baklava was solid.Turkish delight nougat stuff was fabulous (will definitely get it here moving forward when I have a craving vs. Amazon)Some of the items were just ok, but the person working there also recommended this honey soaked pastry with a cream inside (see photos) and I'm still dreaming about it, so yummy! When the weather gets warm, I'll definitely be back for the famous ice cream (I love Turkish ice cream - it was just rainy when I visited so opted for the pastry goods instead!) So great to have a sweets shop like this in Sacramento!“
“Leo welcomed my friend and I very warmly. He walked us through some tea education and we had a good time and great conversations. Business owner is community oriented. I have been here before as well and the food was delicious. Everything is from farm to fork, literally. Will definitely come back, blessings Leo!“
“This is my new fave BOBA spot, right around the corner from work. I do not live in this area but would def come here on my off days just for their brown sugar boba, that's not the name of the order but that's what I normally order.“
“I always get a very pleasant customer service here. The prices here for anything you buy are way reasonable than anywhere else. You can shop almost everything here. They have special Persian bread Lavash and you can buy Persian pastries here and they taste good, you can find if you ask for it. The kababs here are up to the mark and tasty. You can order anything on phone and they will bring it for you.“
“We had a wonderful experience eating here. It had been years since I’ve had arepas and was really excited to find a Colombian restaurant not far from Elk Grove. The empanadas were delicious. The arepas were tasty and very filling. They gave us some plantain chips to start and a free rice dessert at the end. My wife loved the jumbo passion fruit drink. The waitress was very kind. We will return soon))“
“My niece took me to Sellands for my birthday. We both had a tuna sandwich. The bread was handmade and the tuna was very fresh and tasty. There is a thin pickle slice and purple onions on the sandwich. The perfect addition . We also shared an order of crispy fries. Very hot and crispy. Top quality ingredients. I will definitely go there again.“
“My kids love the place. I am not a fan of cereal but they have a few other options. Price is reasonable and they have lots of games that kids can play. The ambiance is nice and family friendly or a cute random date night. Service was good. Chocolate shake was to die for. It included two of my favorite desserts. I did share with my entire family because it was a lot of sugar. We will be back again.“
“I love their house salad with a scoop of tuna. The bread is always fresh and the creamy dill is amazing! I also mix it with the herb vinaigrette which is so yummy! I even buy some dressings for the weekend sometimes. Oh and the Spicy Thai soup is great - light, not thick, but full of flavor. I'm hungry now!“
“Cozy, clean, easily accessible from the parking lot, airy, nicely decorated with organic food choices, healthy, freshly prepared turkey sandwiches, sweet potato, black bean, egg burritos, exotic coffee and a friendly, knowledgeable, chef/caterer Regina is my personal favorite!“
“Stopped in on a road trip to Lake Tahoe since I was craving boba. Cute little shop with lots of drink options! I got the golden which was really yummy. The boba was a little too soft before my preference. We also had the garlic fries which was so good!! Big portion size and shared with my husband. We ate them up! The area is a little sketchy but the shop was very welcoming. Would come again if I lived in the area.“
“I never knew there was a sandwich spot in this plaza, this place is so hidden I thought my GPS was lying to me lol. But I got here right on time before their lunch rush. The cashier was so nice and helpful with my order. The sandwich is so bomb!!! I got the Florin Panther Sandwich and thought I got hooked up but the sandwich is just so big and has so much meat! That Dutch crunch bread is amazing tooo! Definitely coming back to try the other sandwiches!“
“It feels like that "lunch date" place for me and my wife. The lunch specials are delicious and enough variety to fit any appetite. We tend to sit in the covered outside area which is never too hot or too cold. The employees are knowledgeable and look you in the eye when they are talking to you. And the desserts... amazing!“
“I actually frequent here throughout the week. The setting is perfect for any occasion, kid friendly, lunch or dinner dates, etc. the food is really good although it is not consistent. Portion sizes and tastes seem to vary often and there's never really an answer when asked. The staff is very friendly, John I'd amazing. MY FAVEEEE. The French dip, Cobb salad, shrimp tacos, clam chowder soup and blackened salmon are my go to. The fries are to die for (the Cajun seasoning does it). ENJOY.“
“Late post..my new favorite spot for lunch or dinner...been going to a neighboring competitor for years(since 1990)recently service has dropped drastically and the food has become mediocre,it was a good run for jade fountain..the wait is a minimal and the service is on par. The food? Very authentic hk style cafe aka "cha chaan teng" few of my friends agree and my coworkers loves the food. Besides the awesome late hours this is a yes for me. From your rice and noodle dishes down to your authentic chinese comfort food..the steamed meatloaf reminds me of how my grandma use to make it. This place has been here for years..hopefully this place will be around much much longer. Reminds me of the likes of some of the Bay Area places when I use to work in the bay. Awesome job blue moon and thank you!“
“I had the halibut special. It was mushy. The beet salad needed more flavor and/or seasoning. My spouse was happy with the pork. We arrived at 5:30, had to wait a significant amount of time for the salad, and it was after 6:30 before our entree arrived. We were here in January during restaurant week with a 5:15 reservation and were out within the hour after enjoying the 3-course meal special. The bœuf bourguignon we had in January was excellent. The restaurant seemed equally busy both times. I will avoid the specials in the future.“
“My favorite BBH place hands down, you can add your level of spiciness with their BBH hot oil!!! It can get really spicy so be forewarned! :) Soup is hot till the end in the hot stone bowls.. Service is always on point... I'm a food lover and good food makes me happy so take my word and give it a try! Cheers!“
“Delicious surprise! Normally, I'm not one to actively seek out sugarcane drinks, but when our friends, avid enthusiasts of this beverage, paid us a visit, they led us to Coco Cane after a quick and satisfying lunch at Saigon Oi.I ordered the Honeydew Sugar Cane drink which was not too sweet and very refreshing. Meanwhile, my significant other went for the Sugar Cane + Coconut blend. I must confess, I've become a fan of this spot. What really impressed us was the prompt service and the drinks, living up to their reputation, were not only tasty but also incredibly refreshing. As a bonus, there's a cool offer - buy a half gallon and receive a free medium drink. In hindsight, we regret not taking advantage of this offer, but there's always a next time! Cheers to a new favorite spot on our list.“
“I've been here before and it was really good. This time, I had the breakfast egg sandwich in a croissant. The croissant was hard. I'll have to go back and give them another try. Maybe it was a bad day for croissants. I'll try it again, tho. First time I was there i had a fig Danish. And it was amazing. All these other Danish look amazing. The coffee I had was also really good.“
“I love this place. The workers here are ALWAYS beyond friendly. The woman that usually works the cash register always calls customers "sweetheart" and is always happy and smiling. Their food is simple and delicious. I come on my lunch breaks at the hospital to quickly scarf down food so it is SO nice how quick your order comes out. Highly recommend, this place and their staff are so amazing!!!“
“For over twenty years this has been my go to. If I had only one restaurant that I could rely on this would be my choice. The food is ALWAYS excellent. Prices are very reasonable. I've never left hungry and the staff is absolutely enjoyable. Their consistency is why I cater birthday parties and work events from Dos. They have something for everyone. Also the location is just cool.“
“I showed up to Pegasus bright and early-- too bright and too early, actually, since I had failed to check the hours. I had to wait a few minutes for them to open. As soon as the door opened, a line began to form. Even though I had been waiting for the shop to open, I still managed to be second or third in line. At first, because I didn't see any of the items I had been hoping to try, I was just going to pick up a hazelnut pastry. As I was about to pay for it, I asked, "You don't have any pineapple rolls, do you?" "Yes, right here." This is when I realized that there were several trays of baked goods behind the counter that hadn't been put out yet. "What about a green onion and sausage roll?" "Yes, just one?" The pineapple roll was good, but was not what I expected. Most of the roll was just dough, while the top was glazed with a sweet, crunchy pineapple-flavored layer. Still, the dough was really good-- hot, fresh, and a little chewy, almost like mochi, but better. (I don't usually like mochi, but I loved this hot, sweet, slightly chewy dough.) The green onion and sausage roll beat my expectations. I think this may have been the single best roll I have ever ordered from any bakery so far. Hot, moist, fresh perfection. The sausage looked like a hot dog, but tasted more flavorful than that. The dough was mind-blowing. Memorably good. I think this might become one of my new favorite bakeries. I can't wait to come back and try more of their goodies.“
“10/25/2023: Tyler, Nick and Anastasia (Student Finals) have still left me in disbelief that 9 hrs earlier today I had the most surreal Black Gyoza, Marinated Hanger Steak (melted in my mouth) and Japanese Cheesecake. The maturity and confidence of the professionals I spoke with rivals that of any Michelin 1-Star restaurant. My condolences to the judge who must pick one winner.“
“It's my first time ordering a mocha frappe. I thought it was going to be made with chocolate, however, the guy who made it, told me that it's never made with chocolate and it's called mocha chocolate frappe. So next time I'll be more specific. All in all this mocha frappe is really delicious. Highly recommend it.“
“Enjoyed a wonderful Christmas eve dinner here last night. The food (mixed dumplings, Singapore rice noodles, garlic green beans & fish fried rice) was great, and the portions were big enough that we probably have 2 more meals to enjoy at home. The server was kind and helpful. The menu has changed somewhat, with more emphasis on dumplings, but Macau is still our go-to place for delicious authentic Chinese food at a very reasonable price.“
“My wife and I go to Old Soul every time we go downtown. Great place to get some excellent cappuccino and a ham and cheese croissant. Smoked salmon is also great. Outside seating area reminds me of a New Orleans court patio. Very dog friendly and almost worth going just to meet the pooches. Can get loud at times but hardly important. Only knock is the side potatoes that come with egg dishes. So bad I would up my rating if they just didn't bother with them at all.Parking: Not a deal breaker, but occasionally can be challenging to find a spot“
“They have THEE best banana nut muffins. The chocolate muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and mochas are good also. The last time I was there, I clumsily spilled my mocha in my car. They gave me a cloth to clean it up with and quickly replaced the mocha. All was well in my world again. You have to get there early, though.?“
“The ambiance of candlelight, bright artwork, and metal music playing at a conversational level was enough to make me stay. But throw in a very vegan-friendly menu and delicious coffee and I'm swooning. This very solid first impression of Immortal Café included an oatmilk latte with Demerara brown sugar "fancy syrup" and it was quite good. I'd recommend you try it if you're down for a hint of sweetness. It was evening when we stopped by, so the food options were small bites and shareable. I tried both the potato chips (yum) and the Bertie, which was a truffle-infused fermented cashew cheese (double yum) accompanied by a seasonal preserve and crostini. The seasonal preserve was a candied orange marmalade, which elevated the whole pairing. So much deliciousness. The place is small and in a funky converted motel on the edge of Alkali Flats. I wouldn't bring a large group since the interior is more like a bar with some small seating arrangements. It is dog-friendly though with a couple of exterior tables. I'll be back to try out the Saturday vegan brunch for sure.“
