“Stopped here with my dad and had a great meal. I think the vegan sandwich changes, but the TLT I had was great. Wonderful bread and tasty tomato’s! Also, had a fantastic latte! I highly recommend stopping by. Updated from previous review on 2026-07-17“

“I came here for a nice little coffee and sandwich and I wasn’t disappointed. The lavender latte and croque monsieur were both delicious. I do wish they had a larger pastry selection though. Overall I’d be back, they had friendly service and good food for a casual date or brunch.“

“Druthers is always a great place for coffee and waffles! They are expanding their offerings in a week or so to include more sandwiches and other things that folks enjoy. The owners of this business are an outstanding couple with great knowledge of the culinary business in Sacramento“

“The best chai that I have ever had, and it's made in house. My favorite morning ritual is to walk down to The Mill and get a chai and a waffle to eat on the walk back home. In a city with an over-abundence of coffee shops, The Mill is easily my favorite and I pine for it when I am out of town.“

“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“

“Very nice place and great food. I love the origin story of this cafe! I just truly wish there were more Latino employees in the front of the house. It feels too white and they're not the friendliest. For a cafe that draws so much inspiration from Latin-American culture, I’d love to see that reflected more in the staff, not just in the back of the house. It would be great to see Spanish-speaking staff taking orders, serving food, and interacting with customers. Hopefully in the near future :)“

“The drinks were good. The customer service was good. It was only a young man working, he took our order then went to the back to prepare (blend) our drinks then brought it out to us. The room was very quiet as we were the only customers. If the owners ever see this review, I recommend adding some soft background music.“

“Tried this place while visiting the UCD campus. Great food, my only complaint was a little to much mayo for my liking but the serving size and quality was great. Overall the experience was great. The nice lady at the front makes the business feel warm and welcoming. Please support local businesses like this.“

“Loving Place to Eat Authentic Food made Fresh“
“The Cowboy Burger is definitely hands down the best burger I’ve ever had anywhere, and they have other excellent items on the menu. The service at the bar is also great and fast. I love the neighborhood feel of this down-to-earth restaurant. Easy and low-key enough to bring the kids, and for my picky eater we grab some healthy food for him at the market so he doesn’t just eat fries for his meal.“

“Modern, clean, and peaceful Japanese-inspired coffee and wine bar in Midtown. I got the hand-whisked matcha and avocado toast for a little pick-me-up, and both were great. Love the minimalist vibe and the fact that they also offer wine. Definitely recommend!“
“Purple Tree Cafe is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, the staff is incredibly kind, and everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. I especially loved the tea and vegan cookie — you can really taste the quality. It’s the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and support a community-focused cafe. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Not a bad neighborhood Boba tea and snack place. I've stopped by a couple of times now while I've been in the neighborhood and the drinks have not been bad. They use syrups for the fruit teas so those can be a bit hit or miss (Peach good, Watermelon not so much) but I really prefer places that use fresh fruit, or at least a fruit puree.
I went ahead and tried a spam musubi the last time and it was made to order and pretty tasty. Not sure how they kept the nori wrap as crispy as they did but even after being in the bag a few minutes it was still crisp.
Overall I'd recommend if you're near and craving a bit of tea and possibly a snack.“
“Just tried ecoGrounds for the first time and it's incredible! They also work with the Guatemala Water Project and supply clean water year round to the Jumaytepeque region. Awesome company and great coffee!“

“Fun 9 hole course located in Land Park. Very pretty area! The course is kept up nicely. The staff was very nice and lunch was yummy. Many other attractions in the area as well. Perfect place for a day out.“
“I've been here a few times before and tried a couple of items. I had a simple avocado ? toast. This Cafe has 3 different Avocado toast options which is great but, it's a distance from my office. I have to be willing to walk around our consistent campus construction to partake of this menu and today's the day. In the past, I wasn't eating meat for a while so, I had the basic avocado toast with everything but, the bagel seasoning. It's good but, definitely something you can make at home for less than the $5 cost. I purchased a tuna melt last time I was there. I should have ordered the tuna sandwich instead because I think I prefer untoasted bread when I eat tuna sandwiches. Soft is better. Today I had the avocado toast upgrade that is topped with a sliced boiled egg, and chopped bacon bits along with nothing but tge bage seasoning as well. I would have loved a breakfast sandwich but, this toast did the trick. A perfect combination. I ended up cutting it in half & making into a very full half sandwich with toasted bread, avocado, bacon, and hard boiled egg.It was a great breakfast for a whopping $6.79 it was definitely worth the price. I am sure I'll have it again 1 day but, not too often. I have been avoiding & minimizing how much delicious bacon I consume for health reasons. So, a little on occasion is absolutely fine with me.If you're ever at the UC Davis Health Sacramento Campus, look for the Scrubs Cafe in the Medical Education Building & try this awesome avocado toast but, MA it your own. ?? Best thing I've had from Scrubs Cafe East.
Vegetarian options: Veggie Burritos ?, Veggie Sandwiches, Pastries, and other items.
Parking: Parking on-site is horrible and hard to find. You could park at the main medical center structure and be charged for the amount of time that you are on-site. If you park there you have a good 5 minute walk across the street past all fenced off construction diagonal to the medical center tge medical education building sits on the corner across from the grassy field that connects to Shriners Children's Hospital.“
“THEY ARE OPEN AGAIN!!!(online and screen ordering, pay by card, togo only...)Excellent breakfast and lunch for a very reasonable price. It does get confusing which line to stand in for what food item. People are very helpful so don't be afraid to ask. And yes it is open to the public, not just employees...“

“The people were really nice. I got a Thai Tea in their brown sugar series and they asked me to try my drink to see if anything was wrong so they could quickly remake it. The atmosphere is really cozy and a great place to study due to its quiet nature. Honestly this is a hidden gem in South Sac I’m surprised it isn’t more crowded“
“In love with the peppermint bark latte and banana matcha !
Customer service could be better, staff isn’t super friendly but drinks are amazing so I guess it balances out? Idk not really the baristas and cashier are just too rude for me“
