“Came on a Saturday morning to enjoy the brunch and caffeinated beverages. They had the garage doors rolled up for an open feel in the quirk cafe with tons of character. Staff were friendly and food came fast. I got the vegan breakfast strata, a mocha, horchata, and two shortbread cookies. Everything was top notch because it’s all made in house! The menu is almost all vegan and clearly indicated what was vegan. There was a bunch of scones and cookies and all were vegan as well. Such a great spot that I highly recommend and can’t wait to to check out again!“

“This was my first time here. I had breakfast croissant and a cup of coffee. Let me say first of all that the coffee was excellent. I hardly ever have coffee in a restaurant because it’s never good. This was just perfect. My sandwich was perfect as well. I will be coming back.“

“We ordered a mocha, and it was pretty good. We were not aware that The Mill roasted their own coffee as there were no pictures of the roastery in any review. We would have been coming by much more often if we had known. We posted a picture of their roastery. It would be a really cool place to sit as customers can watch the roaster in action. Plus, the smell would be awesome.Since there is limited seating inside and outside the actual cafe that if they opened a small area in the roastery, that it would add a few more seats for customers who wanted to hang out while enjoying their drinks.“

“This is a very comfortable coffee shop. The coffee is excellent and there is a nice selection of fresh pastries and sandwiches. The local East Sac neighborhood newspaper is always available. Staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Outdoor seating is available.“

“This was such a wonderful spot to stop and get a cool drink. Especially with how this summer heat is. The manager was training a new worker at the register and was happy to take the time to explain the menu. This was very comforting as we were from out of town, and it seemed a bit overwhelming. She was very patient and told us their best sellers so we could have safe options. The drinks came out in less than 5 minutes, and they were really good! I got the strawberry lime, and my partner got the Honeydew Chill. I'm not a fan of Boba, but the drinks were still amazing.
On our way out, we gave our compliments and thoughts on the drinks to the manager and explained that we wanted to take a few more drinks for the road back. She was happy to hear the feedback and even gave our drinks to us on the house! We chose the Strawberry Mojito freeze and the Pomegranate Lemonade. The mojito is definitely my favorite.

“Stopped in on a road trip to Lake Tahoe since I was craving boba. Cute little shop with lots of drink options! I got the golden which was really yummy. The boba was a little too soft before my preference. We also had the garlic fries which was so good!! Big portion size and shared with my husband. We ate them up! The area is a little sketchy but the shop was very welcoming. Would come again if I lived in the area.“

Street parking in the nearby neighborhood is a tough since most the streets are “permit only” but keep an eye on the signs because some of them are 1 or 2 hour parking without a permit ??“

“I left 5 stars just beacuse i didnt want to ruin the ratings, but the atmosphere is definitely not 5 stars .. theres always people smoking there outside by the door and they keep the door open so if you bring your kids there , keep in mind. The music is way too loud, would've been fine if it wasnt that crowded and loud already. Other wise i love this place for their creativity, they always come up with new drinks and food items, so i feel like you can never get tired of this place. Will definitely be back)“

“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“
