“Local hole in the wall serving submarines, spaghetti, and pizza since 1963. Somehow it’s stayed relatively under the radar and is primarily a locals spot.

I ordered a large pepper steak sandwich. It’s their signature menu item. Absolutely delicious. Served hot with generous potions of steak and tomatoes with great pepper seasoning. Bread is soft with slight crisp on outside. Served with a bottle of Louisiana hot pepper sauce, which pairs great. You can add cheese and/or mayo but the standard comes without.

Vibe is old-school, classic Italian-American featuring decor from the OG Tony mixed with local sports decor. Customer service was very kind, lady at register said she had been their 19 years. Food came out quick.“

“I've been coming here since their old location since 2002. I come for the food, and the sense that these are my "aunties" making the food. I don't know another place that sells pork belly banh mi, but here. If there is, I doubt it would fill up the sandwich as much as they do here. The duck salad and lotus root salad is so refreshing too!“

“Inside feels like a subway but a decent and clean one. Staff were super friendly and engaging. The food itself felt fresh. Nothing seemed old or discolored. “Great experience at TOGO’S and Baskin Robbins! The pastrami sandwich was hot, flavorful, and packed with meat. The tuna sandwich was fresh, tasty, and really satisfying. Both sandwiches were prepared perfectly and tasted great.

For dessert, I had the pistachio ice cream from Baskin Robbins. It was creamy, rich, and full of pistachio flavor. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great food and a great experience. I will definitely be back!“

“Gold Rush Grille is a weekday breakfast and lunch spot in the California Secretary of State building in downtown Sacramento, CA. It's located on the second floor. The grille is open to everyone. If you're a government worker, you will need to show the front security your badge to gain entry. If you're a visitor, you can enter as well. Just sign in with the security.

Since the grille is on the second floor, you can use the elevator or the stairs. The stairs curves a bit and can be a bit dizzying especially when your hands are full holding your food and looking down at the steps.

The grille has an old school cafeteria look. They serve breakfast and lunch. It's stand in line at the grill counter to order grill hot items. They even have lunch special of the day which is another line to order. There are premade salads (chicken caeser, chef, buffalo chicken, Cobb, Asian chicken) and a plethora of drinks in the cold case; chips, and snacks. They have self serve hot coffee. Pricing is the cheapest around that area. The breakfast items are solid. The salads are pretty good, fresh ingredients. Not Michelin cuisine but solid diner type fare.

After you get your food, then you get in line with the cashier to pay. There is one cashier, and two sides to the line. The cashier alternates sides.

They have a dining area with window views looking onto 12th street and outdoor access with a view to the their next door neighbor, California Museum's outdoor plaza.“

“I love this little spot inside Curtis Park Market. Gonzo (yes, the legend from Old I in pre-covid says) & the crew make stellar fresh sandwiches. The pulled pork is phenomenal. If you are in the area, pop in & grab yourself a tasty treat.“

“Ordered 220 vegetarian banh mi for catering a religious ceremony. They answered all my questions which helped with the sizable order. Pick-up was prompt and smooth sailing. The folks working there are courteous and service is excellent. Their banh mi has been on point everytime. And BTW- the catering was finished by the end of the night. When there were only 146 people that RSVP. Wild! This place is bright and clean when you walk inside. This place is more of a quick 'grab and go' for lunch. Overall, I had a great experience and would order catering here again.“
