“Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday, and sadly the place was completely empty. Given the great reviews, I tried it anyway and am glad I did. I had the "Sunny" Burger, and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, moist, and flavorful. Best burger I have had in a while. Friendly staff, fast service. Check this place out and do not be afraid to be the only guest.“

“Delicious flavorful food with a good portion. I had the falafel rice plate and large special fries. I enjoyed the falafel rice plate- it came with side salad, fries, and hummus and pita. The flavors were bright and bold without being overpowering. The fries on the rice plate were seasoned well. I wish my side order of special fries were seasoned more though. Some seeds or texture in the falafel threw me off a bit. The service was fairly quick. The truck is huge! I'd order food from here again.“

It was the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had from a restaurant, like homemade and delicious. I definitely will be trying everything on their menu first chance I get.The restaurant itself was spotless and comfortable. “I drove past this place so many times. I finally had time to stop an check it out. I ordered the tuna melt an a chocolate covered strawberry parfait! LET ME TELL YOU! One bite of that parfait an I felt my soul melt in my seat an my spirt lift from how good this dessert was. I can not believe how good it was. They offered tasting prior to signing and another tasting for our event item choices which we really appreciated. We were wow'd by they're professionalism and food quality/selection from day one. They were also very responsive throughout the entire planning process to my millions of questions lol. All of our guests kept raving about how delicious all the food was at our wedding and it truly was. If needing a caterer we highly recommend JCE!“

“Napoli is the best place for a date night. You get to sip on wine (or your drink of choice) while learning how to make a dish. The chef was such a character when presenting which enhanced the experience. We attended the chicken Alfredo lasagna and cannoli class. We learned knife skills and how to fold the pasta. The students that are going through the academy watched and learned along with us. The chef started with the presentation and then we went into the kitchen with our team to create our own. The lasagna came out delicious!! We will definitely be making it at home like this from now on. Who knew it could be that easy?“
“Paquitas Mexican Grill recently opened after taking over an old Mexican restaurant and completing a floor to ceiling remodel. They serve up authentic Mexican recipes using the freshest local ingredients. The ambience is awesome with beautiful Mexican themed murals and plenty of cozy places to sit. It is a family run business and the owners were very friendly and inviting. We will definitely return often for drinks and good eats.“

“We went to a memorial service yesterday and at the reception Hannibal’s did the catering! I was so impressed with the food and the presentation. It was amazing!! Best sandwich, salad and cookie I’ve had in a long time! Didn’t have room for other dessert but the cupcakes looked amazing too! Brought half of my sandwich home as they supplied to-go boxes and had it for dinner! Can’t say enough about Hannibal’s!! If I have a gathering, I’ll definitely call them! Everything was so fresh!!!“
“SCC catered our June 2022 wedding and we highly recommend them! We were interested when we read up online but once we had our tasting- we knew without a doubt that we wanted to hire them!Not only do they use quality, local, organic, and homemade ingredients- but everything they make tastes freaking amazing. Their boutique-style dishes and set-ups are absolutely magazine-worthy. Their portions are also great compared to some other catering companies. We weren't short on anything. Everyone at our wedding loved the food. My mom was especially impressed with their professionalism- they wear uniforms, have beautiful serving stations, and are super knowledgeable and friendly. Liz was so tentative to us at our sweetheart table- she checked in on us, brought us tea during our speeches so we wouldn't have to get up. She also went out of her way to help out with our coffee station which was so thoughtful. Also, the crew was super nice and made awesome drinks all night that all the guests loved.We only have one critique for SCC. When we went to our first tasting, some of the items we had pre-picked were missing. Because of that, we had to plan a second tasting for about a month or so later. They were kind enough not to charge us since it was their mistake. Unfortunately, for the second tasting, they still had some things missing! That was a bit frustrating but Liz assured us that everything would be written out and confirmed for wedding day, which it was! Looking back I think we had ordered bread and butter but I don't believe that was out on the wedding night. Those were the little things-however, we believe its just because they were a newer company and still figuring out some logistics, etc. All in all, SCC is a wonderful catering company that we would hire again- and you should definitely consider hiring them for your events!Thanks SCC!“
“Whenever I have to work downtown near the Capitol, I go to Tony's. They have the best sandwiches in town! The staff is friendly and the owner is a wonderful guy. I suggest the Godfather sandwich if you're a fan of toasted spicy sandiches. Their salads are great too! I also recommend the potato salad.Parking: It's located along the busy strip of J Street, so parking near there is tricky. There's a parking garage on K Street next to the Esquire theatre, but it's the same price as a sandwich meal, so spend your $15-$20 on a sandwich.I suggest parking a block or so away.“
