“We're able to finally visit Moonbelly Bakery and it was as good as they say. We arrived past 8am and the line wasn't long. We had the cardamom bun, almond croissant, tomato and goat cheese, nectarine and cream, and they're cold brew special. There's a small dining area outside of the bakery where we ate our pastries. They're filling, hearty, and divine. We'll definitely go back to try their other baked goods.“

“I got my mom's birthday cake from here and as always they did an incredible job!! The workers are always so friendly and sweet. Ordering and picking up was super easy. The cake was DELICIOUS! “Easily one of the best food offerings Sacramento has to offer! A low key but very popular hole in the wall serving over the counter dim sum and other baked goods. All at great prices.

We ordered the shrimp dumpling, pork dumpling, pork potsticker, shrimp Cheung Fun, baked BBQ pork bun, hot dog bun, pineapple bun, egg tart, red bean sesame ball, crispy shrimp ball, mochi biscuit red bean, and glutinous rice with peanut.

Everything was delicious, but our absolute favorites were the baked BBQ pork bun (which is what they are most known for) and the pineapple bun.

Service was quick, efficient and kind even with a long line. Get there early before items are out, by 10 am on a Sunday when we went they were already out of steamed BBQ pork buns. If you have a long list of items write it down on paper or your phone and simply hand it over at the front of the line. Pay with cash or debit card, no credit card.“

“My partner and I came here after experiencing the worst wait at the DoubleTree hotel for Bugtopia. I got the Saigon Honeycomb coffee, a Vietnamese coffee macaron, pistachio macaron, and the ube Biscoff macaron. I have to say that the ube Biscoff was the best one, but the other two were equally delicious. The coffee is strong—it perked me right up! My partner got the banana pudding. We both thought it was good but felt like it was missing a bit of cinnamon. I definitely recommend this spot and hope to come back!“

“I love this place. Cheap finds and fresh. If you spend over $8 you can get free bread items. The staff is always nice here also. Check them out. I hot bagels, 1/2 loaf of bread, raisins bread, 2 boxes of donuts for $7. Can't beat it. Also check them out on the too good to go app.“

“On my way to my son’s house, I decided to stop by Le Croissant Factory on Riverside Blvd. in Sacramento to pick up some croissants and macarons for the family. To my surprise, they were absolutely the best croissants and macarons our family has ever had!

Not only was the food delicious, but the customer service was exceptional as well. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Le Croissant Factory—you won’t be disappointed!“

“I LOVE Cake Castle Bakery!! I have been coming here for 19 years. Excellent customer service and very friendly. Their cakes are extremely beautiful and delicious. I buy all my cake decorating supplies from here. Julie is so knowledgeable, and assists me when I have questions regarding cake decorating or coloring. My daughter and I have been taking the cake decorating classes that they have. The Cake Castle supplies everything you need for each class therefore, all you need is an apron and ready to have fun and learn. Julie teaches the classes to all levels of experience. She explains everything throughly, making sure everyone understands. She goes through each steps of cake decorating one by one. She demonstrates each step and helps each person making sure each step is executed correctly. Julie makes you feel comfortable and confident in the class. My daughter and I love the classes and our cakes look beautiful and professional. Our cakes are delicious!!“

I would have gave this place five stars but the young lady that helped us was really rude and impatient as me and My Wife were trying to decide what cookies we wanted. She was like have you guys decided In a snotty attitude, My Wife asked how much was the uncooked cookie dough and she said it’s right there on the menu really rude. We were really excited to To try this place it was our first time and we felt really unwelcome. It wasn’t even close to closing time. It was about 11:15 PM and the place closes at 12 AM. We will definitely be back but probably try a different location.
8/17/26 I had to come back and change my review. We went to the Fair oaks Blvd location and we ran into the owner , this was about 3 months ago . Anyways we ran into the owner and told her our experience at the Curtis park location and she was so sympathetic and compassionate. She gave us a whole box of cookies to make it right !!! So nice !!! To say the least this is our spot now !!! These are the best cookies in Sacramento!!! Thank you Chip !!“

“Chiliquales was surprisingly good, very flavorful, the weekend special of $10 without meat or anything else was value. Adding meat and egg totaled to about $19. Came here on a whim and would try it again.

Conchas are very aesthetic and fluffy. Would recommend for a savory or sweet treat.“

“I had a great experience today at this coffee shop. This was my first visit and the barista was very sweet and helped make my wife the perfect drink. I ordered a Mexican mocha with an extra shot of espresso. I was worried it may be too sweet since my wife always seems to think her coffee drinks have too much sugar. After I ordered the barista asked some questions to help tailor my order to make it perfect. She gave me the drinks and assured me that I would be happy. When I got home my wife was in love. “I am so glad we went with Looking Glass Cakes for my mom's 60th birthday. The owner was super thoughtful and collaborative about what my vision was for the design of the cake and she expertly applied her creativity to the concept. If you're familiar with bakeries in Sacramento, it was on par with the quality I'd find at Freeport Bakery. And she does classes and workshops?! The cookies are very reasonably priced. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a little less sweet, a little more buttery, and a little more salty in the dough. I love how they are served warm and taste like they are made in small batches 😋“

“This is a tiny hole in the wall shop, that manufactures fortune cookies with this Rube Goldberg machine to make them. It is really fun to watch. You can buy bags of fortune cookies and unfortunate cookies as well. The unfortunate cookies are called TV cookies, and they have no fortunes in them. Great prices and great flavor.“

Owners were super sweet and got to say hi to our kittens Mochi and Tofu! They allowed our babies in. Friendly and clean place. Super cute merchandise, with great prices for great quality! If you have a dog they keep dog treats inside, and they have cat treats they brought out for our kitties while we ate outside and they feed the neighborhood cat too! Just all a great experience!!!! I tried gata bread for the first time last year and found this bakery because of it. This place is amazing! The baked goods are so tasty and smell soooooo good. Open and close a to-go box filled with their baked goods and try not to drool. Lavash, gata, paklava. All delicious and fresh!! I would name more but I honestly have no idea what they are called and just pointed at stuff to try.

The people working here are also very friendly and such a pleasure to speak with. I don't know nearly enough about Armenian food but I plan to learn more so I can try more. If you have not had gata bread before, go here and try it. I cannot wait to come back to try more.“
