About Happy Duck House

Happy Duck House is a highly-recommended restaurant for Peking Roast Duck in the Greater Los Angeles area. Their Beijing duck is tender and not oily, served with a perfectly balanced sauce. The restaurant offers combo dinners and set menus, which include delicious dishes that are sure to please. A fantastic 10-course Peking Duck banquet is available for groups of 8-10 people at an unbeatable price of $288.95. The duck is expertly prepared and served across three dishes, with the wrap being a standout. Other highlights include the shrimp, eel & sticky rice, and fillet mignon, while the giant steamed fish and dessert soup with rice balls are real showstoppers. Service and ambiance reflect a traditional Chinese restaurant, and reservations are a must, as the restaurant can get busy and has set seating times to ensure perfectly roasted ducks. It is recommended to reserve the duck in advance to avoid running out. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the place is clean and quiet. The food is authentic, and the dishes, including beancurd with pork and celery, are savory and delicious. The house fried rice with chicken, shrimp, and beef is cooked to perfection. Although the restaurant is small, calling ahead is advised to ensure availability. Many customers find that the drive over an hour is worth it for the exceptional food experience, and some have made it a favorite spot to visit regularly.

Best duck restaurant in town! Lobster was very good too!

Fantastic 10-course Peking Duck banquet for 10 people at an unbeatable price of $288.95! The duck was expertly prepared across three dishes, with the wrap being a standout (we requested extra wraps). Other highlights included the shrimp, eel & sticky rice, and fillet mignon. However, the real showstoppers were the giant steamed fish and dessert soup with rice balls, which stole the show with the group.

Service and ambiance were on par with a traditional Chinese restaurant....read full review
