“Salty Bear in Costa Mesa is a really chill spot with a relaxed vibe and friendly staff. The atmosphere is great for hanging out with friends, and the prices are fair for both drinks and food. I love the overall energy of the place, it feels casual and welcoming. The only downside is that the tables and booths are pretty uncomfortable and not very sturdy, which makes it hard to fully relax and enjoy a long visit. Still, it’s a great spot overall, and I’ll definitely be back for the good vibes and solid value.“

“We went here yesterday with our team, and everything was fantastic! The restaurant has its own brewery with big tanks where they brew their beers, and the IPAs were excellent.

Our server, Gil, was super nice and helpful. He arranged a long table for our whole group so we could sit comfortably and hang out. He also gave us great recommendations , I tried the Ginger Salmon with rice and quinoa, and it was very tasty, healthy, and perfectly cooked. For appetizers, I ordered the Ahi Tuna with tortillas, which I really enjoyed since I’m trying to eat healthy. We also tried a few other appetizers that everyone liked.

My co-workers had a mix of burgers and sandwiches, and everyone said their food was delicious. They don’t serve vodka (only beer and wine), but they were kind enough to bring me hot water with lemon since I asked for tea.

After dinner, we sat outside on the patio by the fireplace, enjoying the sunset and the beautiful sky , such a relaxing way to end the evening. Parking was easy too, with spots in front of the restaurant and plenty more in the nearby shopping center.

Overall, a great experience with amazing food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend it! 🍽🍻“

“This place was recommended, i finally made it! Enjoyed a steak taco and a pastor taco. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The salsas were fresh and delicious. These might be the best tacos I’ve had in some time. I tried their Red (and I’ve tried many), it is well worth coming back for, great beer! Their beer and menu choices are worth repeat visits. I have worked in hotel/restaurant in the past so I can tell they have freshness and great flavors here. Bravo!“

“My family and I have been customers of this place for over 20 years. There is no better place in Santa Ana (or Orange County for that matter) for a good old-fashioned birria. It is cooked to perfection. I came today after a couple of years, and they have simply not lost their magic touch. The same staff from years ago making the same delicious recipe. Their quesadilla is hands down the best around — perfectly grilled, cheesy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and it’s the kind of dish you think about long after you leave.

“We held our daughter and son-in-laws “ day after wedding” gathering for friends and family who couldn’t make it on their wedding day in 2021 (because of COVID limitations). We also just held a co-ed baby shower for them just this past weekend there.(2023). You now can reserve an area (for a fee) and get catered platters of food items. This made it so much easier than individual orders. Usually there is a band playing on Saturdays and Sundays. The staff were all nice and great to work with. It was great to have a large outdoor venue for their baby shower.“

“This is one of the greatest pizzas ever. I've tried a lot of pizza in Hb and FV. This had to be the freshest and most unique pizzas ever. They also have great names for the pizzas. I got the Home Alone and Life's a garden, Dig it. Amazing. I will be back for more pizzas. Also, while waiting for my pizza, I tried one of their signature beers. I was also so amazed how great it was, and it was one of the greatest beers ever. It was a great atmosphere, and the customer service was exceptional great. The whole experience was great. “The restaurant was busy (as we expected for a Friday night). We had made reservations for 7 pm following our daughter's graduation ceremony (another nearby restaurant wouldn't take reservations). We arrived a bit early and were seated promptly. Orders were taken quickly, and our appetizers arrived almost immediately followed shortly by our food.
