“Yuzu Japanese Sushi Bar truly exceeded my expectations. Every dish was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh — you can tell they really care about quality and balance.

We ordered the 10 pcs Premium Sushi, which included bluefin tuna, toro, shima-aji, jumbo scallop, black snapper, halibut, yellowtail belly, king salmon, amberjack, and eel — every single piece was melt-in-your-mouth fresh. I also added uni sushi, and the uni was creamy, sweet, and super clean with no bitterness.

The Black Snapper Carpaccio was light and refreshing, with crispy garlic chips, gobo, and a subtle kick from the yuzu pepper that tied everything together perfectly.

One of my favorites was the White Fish Tempura — crispy on the outside, tender inside, with hotate scallops, jalapeños, fruits, citrus zest, and a sweet soy yuzu reduction that gave it such a unique flavor profile.

The Uni Hotate Yuzu was outstanding: Hokkaido scallop topped with seared uni, finished with spicy yuzu pepper and sea salt — rich, umami, and perfectly balanced.

For hot dishes, the Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass was buttery and flaky, paired beautifully with sautéed bok choy and caramelized onions. The Wagyu Katsu Sando was another highlight — crispy, juicy wagyu beef with cabbage slaw and housemade Japanese BBQ sauce on soft milk bread. So satisfying.

We also tried the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki, which was tender and flavorful with a nice caramelized finish, served with broccolini.

The Truffle Essence Roll was indulgent but not overwhelming — deep-fried salmon and asparagus, topped with snow crab, fried onions, truffle butter sauce, miso mayo, and sweet soy reduction.

Cocktails were just as impressive. The Yuzu Drop was refreshing and citrusy, and Pretty in Pink was light, fruity, and super Instagram-worthy.

“Great food !! Had no chance to take a picture of the food but I got the chipotle rice bowl! Delicious, big portions. Dad got the pull pork he said it was yummy ! The desserts were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back out next trip to Cali. You will also see the owner greet every table, I think that’s amazing! Makes you feel well taken care of. When we found out that there's going to be a Vox Kitchen opening up at South Coast. Was pretty excited!
Tried Vox before in Garden Grove City/Area.

What we Ordered

~ Prawns Garlic Noodles are delicious. Garlic noodles are on point and the prawns are big & juicy. A fav here for mee.
~ Seafood Scampi is also yummy flavorful dipped w the bread it comes with, lots of proteins.
~ Saltado- Filet is good. The filet is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries are good pairing with the protein.

Their cocktail drinks are delicious also along being pretty strong. Love it!

This Vox Kitchen is a Chinese and Latin fusion concept type of restaurant.

The restaurant ambiance is low key restaurant with an outdoor patio area and outside dining area in front of the restaurant entrance. Have some greenery plants and simple.

Service is great and fast for lunch when i came and dined.

Great place to grab quick bites and scrumptious too.
Highly recommended.

I also have to highlight the wonderful conversation with the bartender and their fantastic mezcal recommendations—absolutely spot on. A beautiful experience all around!“

“This outdoor cafe in the middle of the performing arts center is convenient and reasonably priced. The drinks are certainly cheaper than inside. Also the bartenders are excellent and will make you any cocktail they have the ingredients for. The food menu is updated regularly. Currently they have a nice mix of sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads.

It is pretty expensive which is okay except for the fact that you have to order at a station and then seat yourself, it’s just a little bit strange.
