We have been coming to House of Benny ever since House of Louie on Grand closed. The food is well prepared. A number of our invited guests over time have also enjoyed their dining experiences. This is a small family restaurant. My personal favorites are the varieties of chow mein Hong Kong style.
My family and I went here on Sunday. There was absolutely no line! We came here for the dim sum. We ordered the dim sum appetizer platter. It was amazing! They did not have the crab balls but they had pork shumai as well as har gow (shrimp dumplings). The service was great! We had hot green tea (they do not serve alcohol). We ordered our usual orange chicken (seriously the best I've had), Beef Chow Fun, Bok Choy, and Beef Chow Mein. All were delicious and flavorful. Not too oily. We tried the sizzling shrimp for the first time and we were so glad we did. It had a nice gravy with it and it's placed on the sizzling plate in front of your table before they serve it.
