“I stopped by on Saturday with my wife for some lunch. I heard of the fundraiser this restaurant is having with the knights of Columbus. The restaurant will donate 20% of your bill to the knights. I thought that was tremendous and admirable. We shared several dishes like vegetables chow mein, orange peel beef and some beef that I don't remember the actual name. Everything tasted fresh and service was quick even tho it looked like a good lunch rush was the going on at the time. We had some ice cold flavored tea which we both enjoyed very much. We decided to share this place with our daughter so we pick up one of the lunch specials to go. Price was reasonable, the good was delicious, service was quick and friendly. Every experience at a restaurant should go like this experience we had. Will definitely return to try some more dishes on the menu.“

“Very yummy and filling, this food can last you 3 lunches. The pork was nice and had a subdued sweetness that was pleasant to eat; the orange chicken was loud and sweet, both of which were very good. Not to mention the chowmein and fried rice too, were enjoyable to eat. I’ll definitely be coming here again for a consistent meal that’ll sustain me.“

“My husband's family used to go here many years ago and since we were in the area, he wanted to stop here for lunch. The food was still pretty good but there was a 10% service fee added to the bill. When I questioned our server he pulled out a paper from behind the counter that the manager had written saying to charge that fee to help offset costs and help them to stay open. I'm not sure if that's legit because it wasn't posted anywhere for the public to see nor was it mentioned at all when ordering or paying. It added $4.20 to our bill. That dishonesty will probably keep me from eating there again. Just be prepared to have an extra fee on your bill if you eat there.“
“Mary is so sweet! I remember her when this was in the walnut location, but now they have moved here. Premium quality soy milk, soy dessert, buns and much more! Was able to try her fried tofu, and reheat it in my air fryer at home, so crisp, and good. Wish that she still sold some of her food items like she used to.
Keep note that it is only open 4 days a week, and it gets busy on the weekends. The place is clean, not that big but has a good amount of things that they sell. The outside doesn’t have a sign, as long as you go during the business hours it should be open. Give this place some love, will be back soon !“

“This lady is very sweet very good taste food is always great. It’s a busy place. If you have no time to get in line that you should probably go somewhere else or cook your own meal. There was this lady a few weeks ago arguing that the line was too big, but that must be something good. Their food their taste it’s awesome. I’m gonna go back and take pictures because they have actually earned it. never had a problem with my dishes and yes, it does get busy because it’s really good. I love the Mongolian chicken. The shrimps teriyaki chicken and price is pretty affordable compared to other places. Plus she does give you a lot. It will be going back and posting pictures. I love this place so that’s my friend and other people I know.“

“Low-key one of the best Panda Express locations around. It’s a bit hidden in the plaza at Grand & Badillo in Covina, but once you find it, this spot stands out.
Big shoutout to Kristen — she absolutely deserves recognition. Her attitude, personality, and customer service are exceptional and rare to find these days. She’s always friendly, positive, and efficient, and her portion sizes are consistently on point. You definitely won’t leave hungry.
Food is always hot and fresh, and this location is noticeably clean. The team is constantly wiping down and keeping the restaurant spotless, which really shows their attention to detail.
Overall, shoutout to Kristen and the entire team here. Consistently great service, great food, and a well-run location. 10/10 — highly recommend.“

“I had an amazing experience at Happy Valley Village! Their iron-stew pot dishes are absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and served piping hot! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. If you're in Hacienda Heights, you have to check this place out; you won't regret it!“

“Was pretty good, lots of small bites! I’m used to more kbbq style, but the experience and the aesthetic made the dinner here really fun. You order from and iPad, and the selection options are bit overwhelming as a first timer. Got a variety of meats (beef and pork - both good) the cucumber was fresh and perfect to cut through the heaviness, and the arctic surf clams were my favorite!“

“The Hainan chicken was tender and juicy, and the skewers were wel-seasoned!
The restaurant's interior is very cozy, decorated with plants and Chinese-themed items.
Ordering is easy with the QR code on each table, which is convenient.
This spot specializes in potato noodles, skewers, and Hainan chicken.
Combo #1 comes with two bowls of rice and soup, a plate of chicken, cucumber salad, and fried peanut. The rice is very fragrant and the chicken was tasty with the sweet and spicy sauces.
The potato noodles is very tasty. I will say the best one in LA. If you want to add more protein to the soup that’s good. It is also good for the original recipe. I absolutely love the numbing, peppery flavor of Sichuan pepper in potato noodles.“

“Haidilao Hot Pot is an experience. The service is amazing (free snacks while you wait, super attentive staff), and the hot pot is fully customizable with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The hand-pulled noodle show is a fun bonus too. I like that you can customize your sauce and they have really good jelly for dessert.“

“Hands down, one of the best Chinese restaurants in the SGV. My favorite dishes are the cat ear shaped noodle soup and pork meatballs, as well as the wife’s special noodles, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Highly recommend for anybody in the surrounding area to try“

“I came here for a meal and was really impressed! I ordered the Beef Fried Rice and the Hunan-Style Fried Pork Slices, and both dishes tasted very authentic. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and just what I was hoping for. The service was friendly and the atmosphere felt welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a good Chinese meal. I’d definitely come back again !“

“Came here to try out their Peking duck and it was good! I loved that they removed all the excess fat and bones so it was easy to eat. I liked their chili fish and glass noodles (it was delish and the medium wasn’t spicy at all). Their green beans were delicious and crunchy. It came out to $38/person for a party of 5.“

“This is the first time I was able to try authentic northeastern Chinese breakfast in California, and it really satisfied my cravings. The food is just like it is back in China and very delicious. The menu is short and simple which is my favorite since that means they specialize in specific foods. Must try for some authentic and delicious Chinese breakfast! The staff are very friendly too.“

“The place was empty so we were initially a bit doubtful. I’m glad we made the decision to stay because ALL of their dishes were delicious, not just their Hainan chicken but also their beef, wings, and even their stir fried veggies tastes like it came from much bigger restaurants.“

“I’m so happy finally there is a legit Cantonese hot pot space in LA area. We ordered the half-and-half pot with mushroom chicken and the iconic porridge base. You should order the big beef combo with Cantonese style of beef cut.
The chicken mix dish is our favorite. It tastes authentic with layers of flavor in each bite.
It could be a long drive for people in the city of LA but it’s worth it. Highly recommended.“

“Mixed bag. The fried pork (탕수육) was really good and came in a generous portion. But the jjajangmyeon (짜장면)—despite being pricier than other places—was no better, maybe even worse.
I would recommend this place for family event or meeting after golf or something“

“The chinese pop music playing in here is pretty loud. The drinks are very large in size so it's definitely worth the purchase at $5. The noodles are pretty pricey but for the flavor and noodle quality i would say it's worth it. The noodles are perfectly chewy and absorb the broth flavors well“

“Simple Taiwanese lunch bentos, generally $11 each (since March 2024 I believe), cash only. Check the Facebook page for the daily menu. There is one option each for chicken, pork, or fish. Additionally, I believe you can call in ahead of time to order a fried pork chop (no walk-in orders for that). Each bento comes with a small soup. Flavors are on the lighter side; if you prefer stronger flavors, you might not enjoy these bentos.“

“I'm giving them 5 stars for the quality and taste of their signature offering --- lobster! Ours was huge and expensive, but we allowed ourselves this luxury to satisfy our craving. Definitely worth our visit after a morning spent walking around Ikea. A friend of ours told us about this place a while back but we waited a long time to try them out. It was worth it. We had the lobster prepared their house special way! It came out of the kitchen quickly, perfectly seasoned and stir-fried. We ate it with some ong choy sauteed in garlic and some rice. The lobster proved too much for 2 people, but we didn't mind taking the rest home. Next time, we will definitely try their other dishes.“

“Excellence Test is seriously one of the BEST Hong Kong–style cafés in the entire SGV — maybe even all of SoCal! The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping straight back into Hong Kong. The flavors, the vibe, the comfort food… everything hits perfectly.
And the BBQ duck? Absolute showstopper. Crispy skin, juicy meat, packed with flavor — easily one of the best I’ve had outside of Hong Kong. If you love authentic Hong Kong café classics, this place is a MUST. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!“

“This place is super clean! Not that feeling of greasy oil over coating the entire restaurant. The tables were very very clean! And hand sanitizer everywhere!
We've been here many times over past two years most excellent service!
We ordered
MSG warning. I did not feel it then but about half hour after I started to get an MSG headache. I do have sensitivity—I should have asked but forgot bc many places I have eaten recently do not use.
Chef special Walnut chicken. Superb 5/5
The batter coating was light. No oily greasy feeling or oil absorbed into batter. The honey mayo dressing was also perfect light
Mongolian beef. My husband gave it 4, me 3 stars. Because it was not really Mongolian beef. The correct name would be black pepper beef. It did not taste like Mongolian beef
Kung pao chicken 3 stars was not as good. It was passable. The chicken seemed like it was lightly coated in cornstarch then fried. But it was fried a bit too long bc chi he was very dry. Also the sauce was not great. Tasted also a bit in the burnt side. I like smoky but burnt not great. See pic. I like tre chicken more lightly cooked so it’s still a bit soft and juicy. Sauce also too burnt
We had ordered sesame chicken on a bed orange slices do taste s little like orange chicken. Delicious 4.5/5 stars
Rice better this time (our 4th)“

“Super tasty entrees all around. The beef brisket casserole was jam packed with flavor and super tender (melted in our mouths). The shrimp patties were super juicy and the perfect appetizer. The beef tripe noodles were beefy yet light. The surprise hit was the sweet and sour fish! Crispy and sweet, it was a great entree that was recommended by our waitress. Very friendly staff. Clean establishment. They even had a menu for the Quickly next door. Although I have to recommend their iced tea. Tasted all natural and refreshing. We will be returning!!“

“It is a good Chinese cuisine restaurant. I have visited this restaurant, once, in the middle of 2024, after leaving my work. So, after reading good reviews, about this establishment, I thought to have my dinner. Oh boy, I was not disappointed. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious. Furthermore, they were well made. At the same time, the waitress, who attended my table, was helpful, and attentive. I forgot to add that there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy a meal. Still, I cannot vouch, about the ability of free space, on Fridays, or during weekend. Nevertheless, the tables, themselves, were neat. Of course, I cannot forget to mention, the prices were not on the expensive side. So, if anyone is in City of Industry or La Puente area, I would recommend to stop by this establishment. The deliciousness of meals is worth the visit.“

“I recently tried Chubby Skewers and overall had a pretty good experience. They have a great selection of meats, and at $1.20 per skewer, it’s easy to try a variety without spending too much.
That said, some of the meats were a bit on the tougher side, which took away from the experience a little. But not everything was a miss, the grilled oysters and scallops were definitely highlights and tasted really good.
I also liked that you can order from the menu if you want something more than skewers. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for variety at a reasonable price, with a few standout items worth coming back for.“

“Pickled Fish: The fish is so tender that it melts in your mouth, the sauerkraut is crispy and appetizing, the soup base is sour and spicy but not choking at all, every bite is full of sincerity! I especially like the light numbing aroma, paired with hot rice, it is simply a healing tool in winter!
Guobao Pork: Under the golden and crispy skin is tender and juicy tenderloin. The ratio of sweet and sour sauce is just right. You can hear the "click" when you bite into it! The texture is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is definitely a textbook interpretation of Northeastern cuisine!
Home-style tofu: The tofu is fried until it is charred on the outside and tender on the inside. It absorbs the fragrance of the sauce and is smooth and tender in the mouth without losing the bean flavor. Paired with the crispness of fungus and green pepper, it is full of texture, simple but full of homey taste, and it is a perfect meal!
The three dishes in this restaurant each have their own merits. The taste is authentic and the portions are substantial. You will become a fan after eating it once! Highly recommended to friends who love food~“

“What an amazing dining experience! The service here was fantastic—our server was friendly, attentive, and made excellent suggestions. The food was divine, especially the dumplings, which were plump and flavorful. The Szechuan chicken had the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. The ambiance was just right—elegant yet cozy, with a mix of traditional Chinese elements and modern touches. I loved the soothing music and the soft lighting. This is definitely my go-to place for great Chinese food!“

“Not really a foodie but love finding gems like Luyu Dumplings when traveling. It was slight challenge to find as there is beauty shop sign above.
Parking is fairly plentiful.
That being said, the food is FANTASTIC. From the vegetarian hot and sour soup to the onion pancakes to soup dumplings, everything we ordered was FABULOUS. Comparable to some of the Chinese food we have had in Richmond BC. There was only one poor soul to take orders. Pack up to-go orders, act as busboy, greeter, cashier, server so be kind and pack your patience the food is worth it.
Prices are more than reasonable so please give this lovely local place a try. Sorry no pictures, we were too hungry to pause for photos“
