The hardest part is choosing which items you're going to get on your platter. It's a mother and son team that runs the place with mama doing the cooking so be patient and you will be rewarded!“

Service is always good, the place is a little small, but always busy. They have the best muscles, best albacore capaccio and rolls. Nice vibe in there. “Delicioso! Delicious! 🤤 Sabor a Perú was amazing! My family and I were doing an errand in the Covina area and I decided to Google some Peruvian food options and came across Sabor a Peru. It was an excellent choice. The food is just sooooo good! Delicious made from scratch & the portions are generous. The pricing is also what I consider good. Every single dish we order was amazing but I’m in absolute love with the Tallarin Verde de Pollo & the Lucuma Ice Cream. But again everything was amazing. Thank you Sabor a Perú.“

“First time. I had the nachos al pastor which i loved the melted nachos cheese and chips, not enough nachos cheese. Al pastor could have been better seasoned. Mulita de suadero could have had a bit more cheese but tortillas are small. Tacos best one I had was lengua, then carnitas, then asada, then chicken which was driest of them all. The salsas carry this taco truck. All 3 salsas are top notch for anywhere in this area. Will definitely return to try more meats.“

“This place is consistent. Great food great service with friendly staff. Came in for breakfast. Ordered the chorizo a la Mexicana and the ham and cheese omelette. They gave chips and salsa. Chips were fresh and crunchy and the salsa had a little spice to it. Portions are generous so be sure to bring an appetite.“

“Chili tango is my absolute go to in the Covina area. I’ve been here a half dozen times, both the food and service are always excellent and never disappoint.
The parking is decent for a small mall area with at least 5 different businesses.
The inside is on the smaller side but has ample seating with 8 tables.
The employees are always welcoming and the chef is very skilled.
My go to favorites are chicken satay, spicy beef salad, spicy bamboo shoots with chicken, either chicken or seafood Tom kha gai and mango rice 🙌“

“It's located next to Mi Pulgarcito Pupiseria Salvadoreña and near GS Ethiopian Cafe. I had went to this plaza for another restaurant but they closed already for lunch. I decided to try this grilled chicken place, reminds me of Juan Pollo or El Pollo Loco. It seems family owned with a young teen taking my order.

I chose to try the 16 piece family special with half spicy and regular chicken ($44.99) which came with 4 large sides, tortillas and salsa. I chose their macaroni salad, potato salad, rice, and beans. I got a lunch special for myself that came with a can of soda. The seasoning on the chicken was good, the spicy chicken had a good heat. The skin was crispy and the chicken was moist. My family did not like the sides of macaroni and potato salad.

“I drove by recently and thought this place had closed, which made me sad another small business gone, or so I thought. My nephew asked about the ice cream spot we usually park and walk to, so I drove by to show him it was closed. To our surprise, it was actually open!

There didn’t seem to be a huge variety of options, but the couple working the window was very sweet. There was a bit of a language barrier, which was noticeable during some interactions, and a sign asking customers to order by number. It was clear they were doing their best. A good reminder to be patient and kind. The kids enjoyed their ice cream, and it was nice to see the place open after all.“

The chicken soup was just okay. I would have preferred the soup to come out first instead of being served at the same time as my sandwich. The open-face roast beef was decent but nothing that really stood out.

The patty melt had good flavor, but it came with very few grilled onions, and even though I requested mushrooms, they were completely left off.

Overall, the food was okay and had decent flavor, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The great service was definitely the highlight of my visit.“

This restaurant is fantabulous! I can't wait to be back here. It feels like you're going home for a meal. Space is cozy but overflowing with love... And deliciousness!! My husband and I split the catfish and shrimp lunch with greens, yams and an extra side of macaroni and cheese. Have I mentioned how good it was yet?? 😋 I already know what I'm getting next time, ribs or maybe chicken and waffles, or do I want chicken wings. Maybe I don't know what I'm getting after alll 😄

“It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. I so wish I lived nearby as I would pay it a regular visit. I’m so glad the Clearmans Northwoods inn has not been changed.“

“The place looks unique from the outside, also has a drive thru. Inside seating about 4 tables plus outside patio seating. Very friendly staff and inside decor has a very Hispanic/Mexican homestyle warmth. Now the food... so far I've been stuck on their carnitas and asada tacos! Comes with grilled onions and roasted jalapenos! Sooooo gooooood! Meat not dry and very tasty. They are not cheap on the meat either! I also love the abodado burrito (may have mis spelled that), I will try that on a sandwich next visit. Great little gem in town. Us over at the Acura dealer enjoy their food very much! “I stopped by on Saturday with my wife for some lunch. I heard of the fundraiser this restaurant is having with the knights of Columbus. The restaurant will donate 20% of your bill to the knights. I thought that was tremendous and admirable. We shared several dishes like vegetables chow mein, orange peel beef and some beef that I don't remember the actual name. Everything tasted fresh and service was quick even tho it looked like a good lunch rush was the going on at the time. We had some ice cold flavored tea which we both enjoyed very much. We decided to share this place with our daughter so we pick up one of the lunch specials to go. Price was reasonable, the good was delicious, service was quick and friendly. Every experience at a restaurant should go like this experience we had. Will definitely return to try some more dishes on the menu.“

“Amazing Little hole in the wall. I was working a job down the street and lucky enough to have had lunch here. Hands down the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. I travel down to Baja dozens of times per year and I’ve never had a fresh fish taco like the one I’ve had here. The way it’s prepared the tortilla the crunch when you bite into the freshly fried Fish is very hard to find. I had To go back and the ceviche tostada was even more impressive and I love seafood. This was really good. I had to come back one more time and I had a shrimp burrito, which was very good as Well. Fairly to really well priced for the amazing food they put out. Small inside, but highly recommend if possible to eat your food inside as Fresh as possible“
