“Crazy how Google sent me an email to review this place because that was actually my goal! I love the ice cream! It’s one of my number one spots to go to and sometimes, most times, I get ice cream cravings late at night! Yes, I had one of those days this past week so I decided to go around 9:00 pm to get some ice cream! Mind you I live a bit out of the way and they close at 10pm! Did I feel bad? Also, there was no line behind us so I don’t really know why the need to be annoyed with us was! I’m sorry, I won’t ever go late again, but be mindful that your customers are the ones who keep your business alive! I worked in an environment like that and yea the last customers were always hard because you just wanna clean and go home ! The attitude of some of the people working here needs to change! Sometimes that drives customers away no matter how great the product is!“

“Chili tango is my absolute go to in the Covina area. I’ve been here a half dozen times, both the food and service are always excellent and never disappoint.
The parking is decent for a small mall area with at least 5 different businesses.
The inside is on the smaller side but has ample seating with 8 tables.
The employees are always welcoming and the chef is very skilled.
My go to favorites are chicken satay, spicy beef salad, spicy bamboo shoots with chicken, either chicken or seafood Tom kha gai and mango rice 🙌“

The chicken soup was just okay. I would have preferred the soup to come out first instead of being served at the same time as my sandwich. The open-face roast beef was decent but nothing that really stood out.

The patty melt had good flavor, but it came with very few grilled onions, and even though I requested mushrooms, they were completely left off.

Overall, the food was okay and had decent flavor, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The great service was definitely the highlight of my visit.“

“It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. I so wish I lived nearby as I would pay it a regular visit. I’m so glad the Clearmans Northwoods inn has not been changed.“

“The place looks unique from the outside, also has a drive thru. Inside seating about 4 tables plus outside patio seating. Very friendly staff and inside decor has a very Hispanic/Mexican homestyle warmth. Now the food... so far I've been stuck on their carnitas and asada tacos! Comes with grilled onions and roasted jalapenos! Sooooo gooooood! Meat not dry and very tasty. They are not cheap on the meat either! I also love the abodado burrito (may have mis spelled that), I will try that on a sandwich next visit. Great little gem in town. Us over at the Acura dealer enjoy their food very much! “I stopped by on Saturday with my wife for some lunch. I heard of the fundraiser this restaurant is having with the knights of Columbus. The restaurant will donate 20% of your bill to the knights. I thought that was tremendous and admirable. We shared several dishes like vegetables chow mein, orange peel beef and some beef that I don't remember the actual name. Everything tasted fresh and service was quick even tho it looked like a good lunch rush was the going on at the time. We had some ice cold flavored tea which we both enjoyed very much. We decided to share this place with our daughter so we pick up one of the lunch specials to go. Price was reasonable, the good was delicious, service was quick and friendly. Every experience at a restaurant should go like this experience we had. Will definitely return to try some more dishes on the menu.“

“So I’ve been driving by this place for over 20 years and never bothered to stop by. Today, my partner mentioned this place and I said okay let’s check it out.
My partner loved his chicken and veggie bowl. It was well worth the $12.99. There were actual veggies and not just cabbage ( broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, cauliflower and carrots) perfectly cooked/steamed. Chicken to veggies ratio was just right and I mean damn there was so much my partner left a few pieces. Normally he takes some of my chicken since it’s never enough. Hands down will return for the chicken and veggie bowl.
I ordered the chicken plate which comes with a green salad. Well worth the $14.99.

Next time I’ll try their teriyaki burger, maybe 😜

“I wanted more of my sushi fix. I found this place using Google maps. The reviews and pictures looked lovely, so I showed up. Firstly, you need to find out if there is the half off house rolls or not. I ordered using the paper like normal, when I was told a second house roll would be half off. I agreed. Holy moly, these rolls are HUGE. I've visited many sushi restaurants in California, and this place, their rolls are on steroids! One standard roll, is equivalent to almost 2 at this place. I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but the food was excellent. It was very well crafted and presentation was 10/10. Miso Soup was also included at no charge. I will return, and I suggest you visit too.“

“I drove by recently and thought this place had closed, which made me sad another small business gone, or so I thought. My nephew asked about the ice cream spot we usually park and walk to, so I drove by to show him it was closed. To our surprise, it was actually open!

There didn’t seem to be a huge variety of options, but the couple working the window was very sweet. There was a bit of a language barrier, which was noticeable during some interactions, and a sign asking customers to order by number. It was clear they were doing their best. A good reminder to be patient and kind. The kids enjoyed their ice cream, and it was nice to see the place open after all.“

I got a medium chicken bowl. It was decent and reminded me of most other places that serve teriyaki bowls, pretty similar to Yoshinoya or Waba Grill.

My friend ordered the chicken combo with avocado, which also came with Thousand Island dressing. The portion size was pretty generous for the price.

Overall, I thought the food was fine, but nothing really stood out to me. It's probably not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at, but if you're in the area and craving a simple teriyaki bowl, it gets the job done.“

I recently took my wife back to her hometown in La Puente, and we stopped at Snap E Taco in nearby Covina. The food was excellent — flavorful, fresh, and made with care. The portions were generous, and everything tasted just like authentic home-style Mexican food should.

“I went today to Covina Burgers which I have not been in a very long time. With all the good things I was hearing my son and I went for lunch. First off my son is picky he ordered a breakfast burrito and didn’t finish it because it was too big. But his take was this is better than Farmer Boys. Because the amount of egg to meat and potatoes is even. He went on to say the fries were tasty with the right amount of salt. I ordered the chefs salad and it is big enough for two meals. I also ordered the zucchini because those are a favorite and was not disappointed. They were light crispy and delicious. We will definitely be back!“

“The food was excellent! I ordered the breakfast burrito and asked for the chipotle crema on the side—it was absolutely delicious. The burrito was huge and very filling. My husband ordered the eggs and bacon with pancakes, and everything tasted great.

The coffee was strong, fresh, and delicious. Our total bill was under $40, which was a great value for the quality and portion sizes.

“This is the Best and Most affordable Pho restaurant in L.A area. I've been going to this restaurant for many years and I highly recommend it. I only had to dock one star because they tell you your online pickup order is complete but it is always missing something so double check your order before you leave.
