“This was actually my first time finding out that Haidilao has an all-you-can-eat option! We tried the $32.99 per person package, and the beef and lamb were both right up my alley—nicely marbled, with slices that were just the right thickness. Even though it’s a buffet, the portions definitely didn’t feel skimpy. I’m also a big fan of quail eggs and egg dumplings when I have hot pot, so with those added in, I was already more than satisfied.

It’s also a pretty stress-free option when dining with kids. The service was, as always, thoughtful and attentive. They prepared a kids’ meal, a magic wand, and a little balloon for my daughter . When I handed my phone to my kid to watch something, the server even brought over a phone stand without me asking.“

“My family has been going here for the past 3 years and we still love it. My 4 and 6 year old ask for it for their birthdays every year. Our go to order is usually the wonton soup with heavy edits, the route 66 sub, three flavors, spicy chacha, and either the quinoa salad or the joyful fried rice. And the cakes are so good, we always get either the panda or the ube. The owners used to have a spot in Pasadena but moved over here.“

“It's a very low-key, chill place but none of it matters when you get your food. The veggie platter is absolutely delicious. The hardest part is choosing which items you're going to get on your platter. It's a mother and son team that runs the place with mama doing the cooking so be patient and you will be rewarded!“

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “I can't stop thinking about this restaurant. The interior is very plain, but the table has all the sauces and utensils you need. The menu has a great selection. Once you order, the food comes out fast, and it's piping hot. Everything tasted super fresh. I had the spring rolls (10/10) and the curry with vermicelli AND bread. This was a lot of carbs, but worth it! If I had to pick one, though, I'd go with the bread; it was hot and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was the last thing to come out, so I think they make it fresh. The flavor profile on the curry was amazing, and I can't compliment their mock meat enough; their chicken is some of the best I've had. My friend had the Pho and said it was great too. It was in incredible! The jelly makes the bacon taste like candied bacon. The tots were perfect little crispness bombs. Small craft beer list is the topper. We will be back. “Was in the area for an errand and randomly stopped by. I got a bean and cheese since they were on special for dirt cheap and it was so bomb. Server recommended the taquitos, green chile, and onion rings, and I can’t wait to come back and try them. Such a classic spot that does not disappoint on flavor.“

“Came here for lunch and got their lunch special cold udon + mini (beef) curry rice set.

Starting off with the curry. It was very tasty and flavorful, rice was cooked well. The beef was also very tender and juicy. However, I wish the flavor of the curry permeated more into the beef as the beef tasted a little underseasoned.

I love cold noodles on a hot day, and I tend to prefer my noodles a little softer. The cold udon was served at the perfect temperature, but texture wise was a little on the al dente side. It was chewy but bordering a little too chewy/ hard. I wish it was cooked for 30-60s longer! Other than that, flavor of he broth was good.

The lunch set was a good amount of food and I left feeling full (couldnt finish my rice as it was too much carbs). Service is good and the restaurant was not too crowded when I was there. Would love to come back again to support a local restaurant and try out other stuff on their menu!“

“My family was traveling from Arizona to California and had the incredibly good fortune of finding Damasquino Mediterranean Restaurant. My son's a vegetarian and I'm essentially carnivore. We both were over the moon happy with the meals prepared by the owner. I am not kidding when I say don't walk to this restaurant - RUN. The food is out of this world. It's not a fancy sit down, but it's a comfy homey feeling with chairs and tables outside. The food is authentic in every way. The owner is one of the most kind, gracious hosts you will find. His one concern, and his staff all have the same attitude, is your happiness and satisfaction. Well it's an easy task for him, as the food is the best mediterranean food you will find without traveling to the middle east...and even then....I don't think you could find food as flavorful. Give them a try and you can thank me later. I'm literally checking my business calendar to see when my travels take me back to SoCal so I can go to Damasquino Mediterranean Restaurant again.“

“I was seated outside, not much of a view but that's OK. I had the country fried steak, with eggs over easy and biscuits & gravy. The food was delicious. The gravy had sage in it, but not overwhelming. The biscuit was seasoned, very good on its own. I enjoyed the CFS. My bride ordered a sandwhich. I don't recall but she really enjoyed it. I also ordered a side of their signature Chipotle cheddar potatoes. They were absolutely fantastic. I would go back just to have those potatoes. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Great place to enjoy a breakfast.“
