“This was actually my first time finding out that Haidilao has an all-you-can-eat option! We tried the $32.99 per person package, and the beef and lamb were both right up my alley—nicely marbled, with slices that were just the right thickness. Even though it’s a buffet, the portions definitely didn’t feel skimpy. I’m also a big fan of quail eggs and egg dumplings when I have hot pot, so with those added in, I was already more than satisfied.

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “Everyone has their own personal experience with Veg World, I scrolled through many comments, some positive some negative.
Now I will jump into the comment pool.
I stumbled across Veg World as I was desperately driving around in my neighborhood looking for a vegan restaurant.
Feeling guilty of living 68 years depriving my body of the nutritions necessary to maintain a healthy heart.
68 years later, as a result of neglecting my health by putting all the wrong foods into my body,I now have high cholesterol and I am a diabetic.
I decided to reach out to the veg world to save my heart.
I drove passed Veg World and decided to take a chance at trying their food.
My my my,what a diabetic high cholesterol decision that was.
The best thing I've done for my health in 68 years.
The first thing I look for, is the restaurant clean.
Veg World definitely earned their A rating .
This restaurant had a tropical exotic atmosphere, water falls outside, water falls inside ,beautiful plants and the walls had beautiful pictures of parrots.
So I proceeded to look at their menu.
With the help of the patients of the waitress ,she spoke to the chef for recommendation for my health concerns, the chef carefully put together a meal that would be healthy for my heart.
I praise this restaurant for helping me save my health from a stroke or heart attack.
In short, Veg World is helping me save my life.
I had the pleasure of meeting one of the Chefs and I thanked her for preparing her food with such passion for the health of her customers.
I want to applaud my beautiful Chef Nicole for showing compassion for my health...

“It's a little restaurant and it's wheelchair accessible. Even though it's small there's enough space for families to eat there or a party. The food is really good. The place is clean. The only complaint I had was it was a bit warm in there. The people that work there are very nice and knowledgeable about their menu. Service was fast and friendly! “Ty of Thai Thyme is an exceptional host. After dinner, he's rokk the time to greet our party and give us insights as to visiting Thailand. He was very nice and hospitable. But I digress, the FOOD was phenomenal! We ordered the Tom Ka soup, chicken curry, shrimp fried rice, beef pad Thai, chicken satay, and Thai ice teas. “Absolutely. That makes the review much stronger because it explains whether the $98 duck was actually worth ordering and which dishes stood out.

Came to Xibei in Arcadia with a bunch of friends on a Thursday night, and this place honestly exceeded my expectations. I made a reservation ahead of time and also reserved a whole Peking duck, which is $98.

Xibei is located right next to Haidilao Hot Pot, but once you step inside, the restaurant has a completely different feel. The interior is beautiful, modern, and upscale with a fine dining vibe. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and shown to our table, and the service throughout the night was phenomenal. The staff were attentive, professional, and matched the higher-end atmosphere of the restaurant.

For dinner, we decided to order the $118 combo, which ended up being a great deal. It came with stir-fried broccoli, sweet and sour ribs, stir-fried peppered beef, steamed shrimp with garlic and vermicelli, and the Millet Sticky Rice dessert with floral honey syrup.

I honestly think the combo alone could easily feed 4 to 6 people, especially if you’re planning to order a few additional dishes. We definitely ordered with our eyes because on top of the combo and Peking duck, we added the dry pot cauliflower with pork, braised pork belly, eggplant with garlic sauce, and ma la chicken. Needless to say, we ended up with a lot of leftovers.

All of the dishes were exceptional, but the dry pot cauliflower with pork was one of the biggest surprises of the night. It was so flavorful that it actually made the stir-fried broccoli seem a little boring in comparison. Our least favorite dishes were probably the ma la chicken and stir-fried broccoli, but honestly, they weren’t bad at all. The other dishes were just that much better.

Of course, the main event was the whole Peking duck. The duck took a while to come out and arrived about 45 minutes after we had already started eating our first entree. By then, we had already eaten so much that we were getting full. If you’re ordering the duck, definitely pace yourself and save some room.

Once it arrived, though, it was worth the wait. I’ve had Peking duck at Ji Rong before, and I personally thought Xibei’s was better. The skin had a great crispiness, while the duck meat underneath stayed moist and wasn’t dry. I also really liked the thinner wraps because they didn’t overpower the duck and allowed you to taste more of the meat and crispy skin with each bite.

At $98 for a whole duck, it’s definitely a splurge, but it’s meant to be shared and I thought the quality delivered. If Peking duck is one of the main reasons you’re coming, I would recommend reserving one ahead of time.

The ambiance was another highlight. The high-end modern decor makes this place feel nice enough for a date night, birthday, celebration, or business dinner, while still being comfortable for a large group of friends sharing dishes family style.

Parking was also surprisingly easy for Arcadia. There’s free parking in the main lot as well as underground parking.

Overall, Xibei was a great experience from the food to the phenomenal service and beautiful ambiance. My biggest advice is don’t order with your eyes like we did! The $118 combo can easily feed 4 to 6 people, and if you’re adding the whole Peking duck, you really don’t need to go crazy ordering additional dishes.

The Peking duck alone gives me a reason to come back. Crispy skin, moist duck, thin wraps, and personally better than Ji Rong for me. Add in the excellent dishes and service, and Xibei is definitely a great addition to the Arcadia dining scene.“

“the restaurant is super clean. If you show up thinking you're going to order Orange chicken, Broccoli beef, kung pao chicken or any of that chinese fast food then this is not the place for you. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.“

“This little gem has that nostalgic 1950s vibe, only accepting cash. There a couple of tables outside the little shack where they offer crispy bean and cheese burritos that are unbelievably good! Service is. Always with a smile. I also tried crunchy tacos and taquitos which j added cheese to and it was so yummy. There js no satisfaction like a treat from taco treat. Don't forget the hot sauce!“

“I haven’t been here for a while and had a craving for the Chilaquiles. I knew they added a new Mole salsa so I called to order that to go. I was told they also have a chipotle sauce, so I went with that instead. When I got home, OH MY GOSH!! Those were the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had with the Chipotle sauce. They were so good I’m embarrassed to say I lick the plate clean🥴. And of course the churros were amazing as usual.“

“My service club was trying out different restaurants in Diamond and June's spot is Solo Hot Pot. We came at a good time for dinner and was able to fit our group in two tables pushed together.

Each person orders their own thing, picking their ingredients and broth. They weigh your bowl of stuff (veggies, meat, seafood, noodles, etc) and it's $15.99 per pound. If you don't pace yourself, it's very easy to end up with an expensive bowl of hot pot. Mines ended up weighting a little over 1.5 lbs, so my hot pot was over $25 before taxes. Some broths also have an additional charge (like the tonkotsu is $4.95 extra), so keep that in mind. I picked the organic miso broth, which had no extra charge. My hot pot was pretty yummy since I got to choose exactly what I wanted in it and even though I ordered a little too much, I enjoyed it the next day for lunch.

The sauce bar is included and they offer iced green tea with refills for $1.99 more. If you need a refill of the iced tea, you can let them know and they'll refill your cup. Very refreshing!

Even though we paid separately, they do charge 18% big party service charge for groups of 5 or more.
