“Hole in the wall kind of place that's been there for a long time. Solid old school Italian food and menu selection. The meat sauce is very good and the garlic knots are delicious. Reasonably priced for quantity and quality especially in today's economy.“
“My go-to place for Italian subs. ??I announce the motocross races here in Southern California and I always have to have Claro's up in the tower when I'm on the mic. ??I get the spicy Mike large and I have them swap out the ghost pepper jack with manchego cuz I'm digging sheep and goat cheese right now. It's fantastic either way. ??There's plenty of parking at this location and they're not stingy with the portions. The staff is extremely friendly and they have lots of goodies in the market to browse and try. Today I brought home an Italian artisan beer and I have to say it is fantastic. Mastri Birrai Umbri IPA. ?Ask for Kathy, Paloma, or Cecilia (aka Cici). ??“
“Went to Giovanni's to celebrate my wife's birthday. Decided to keep it local and came here for the 1st time. We really enjoyed the food and service here, the lobster ravioli was delicious, the clam linguine was good too! Our server was great and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. If your in downtown Covina this place is a gem. Definitely recommend Giovanni's for a nice dinner. Btw the cocktails were ??“
“My wife and I love this restaurant. The gluten free pasta is her favorite of any place she's been and the servers are so friendly. The gluten free pizza is awesome too. You really can't go wrong with anything on.The atmosphere is so calm and beautiful. Literally nothing I've eaten their has disappointed me.“
“The food was great! The pizza had a little too much grease for my taste, but the flavor and taste were delicious. The price is about what you would expect from similar places. Nice and clean inside. The staff were attentive and courteous. Able to watch the football game and still have a good conversation at the table. Would recommend it!“
“This place has great sandwiches. Although the selection is very limited, the quality definitely makes up for it. Another plus is that you can buy your own ingredients and take them with you to make your own creations at home. What really surprised me is how great the pizza is. If I had one complaint, it would be how pickled the pizza tastes with jalapeños on it. Maybe easy on the jalapeños? If you love meat on pizza, though....this is the place to go in Covina. It's just a shame they took down the signs about not putting onions in their sandwiches and removing the pacman game from the first table in the dining area. Those were nice little touches that gave the place a particular charm I very miss.- Dip your pastrami if you want a jucier sandwich.- If you want mustard or mayo, you have to ask for it.- Try it the way they make it before deciding to customize.“
“Great local Italian restaurant with a good selection of dishes and drinks. The food is good and the staff are nice and timely. The place could use a face lift in the entrance, but hopefully more customers can help make that happen. The parking lot gets packed around 6 pm.“
“The food here is excellent. Staff is very friendly and kind. Felt a little rushed towards the end of the dinner. Probably because they are only opened for a few hours. Overall, I can't get over how delish this food is. Definitely a new favorite. I recommend the Foccacia Bread Board for an appetizer. The bread paired with honey, pears and mozzarella was divine. The Manicotti was so good and the chocolate cake with a glass of moscato was the perfect way to end the meal. 5 stars!“
“This little restaurant situated in the corner of a strip mall is an absolute revelation. It's an unbelievable addition to the area and a must try. We started by ordering a tray of their chipotle chicken fettuccine. It will ruin you for all other places that offer a version of chicken fettuccine. It's beyond good. The chipotle sauce is creamy and has a nice subtle kick. The chicken is grilled perfectly and yet stays moist. The pasta itself has the perfect bite to it. I can't say enough. It's that good. Next up we tried the Italian chopped salad. The salad had no business being that good. I hate salads and this salad converted me instantly. The greens were crispy and fresh and the dressing was to die for. This is one salad you will not regret ordering. We came back the next day and ordered the lasagna. This lasagna does not belong in a restaurant without Michelin stars. It was layer upon layer of cheesy awesomeness with a delicate marinara sauce in between. I can't wait for the day where you can taste pictures because this lasagna blew our mind. We are fat boys so we had to give the Meat Lovers pizza a try. There are no words. The dough has a perfect texture and the cheese melts so good. The toppings were generous and you had a bite of something meaty in every bite. Last, but not least, the bread. We tried the regular bread rolls but there was nothing regular about them. Absolutely fluffy pillows of goodness that were good by themselves or great with any of our pasta dishes. We also had the garlic bread which was maybe the only pedestrian thing about our meal. I prefer my garlic bread a bit more buttered but held up well to the sauces. Finally, the bruschetta. Crispy toast with the freshest tomatoes and dressing. A must have if you have the room. Don't sleep on this spot. It's worth the visit from literally anywhere.“
“First time here and I have to say, it’s pretty darn good!!! The antipasto salad was loaded with meat and cheese. The garlic bread is very tasty. I had the Chicken Marsala….. It was very good! Everyone was very pleased with their food. Looking forward to trying the pizza next, it looked delicious!!Parking: They have a small parking lot but we had no trouble finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn’t love spaghetti, pasta and pizza??!! Bring them, they will love it!“
“My wife and I went here for the first time Monday night 03/18/24. This place has the best pasta I have ever had at a restaurant, simply amazing! For an appetizer we had the bruschetta. This has to be the best bruschetta I have ever had, hands down. It was very crispy, not under cooked or overcooked, with balsamic vinegar and oil, topped with the freshest and firmest tomato's. Highly recommend. For drinks we had a glass of chianti and ice tea, the chianti was the best I have ever tasted. For the main dinner entrees we had spaghetti and meatballs (marinara sauce, not meat sauce), and the half and half, which consists of spaghetti with marinara sauce and ravioli. There has never been an italian restaurant I have ever been to, that cooks spaghetti noodles correctly. The noodles were firm, not mushy, and not hard. It's difficult to make noodles like this, we cook them at home to be firm but not hard, but I have never been to a restaurant that properly cooks their noodles like this. Just outstanding! The spaghetti sauce was also amazing, lots of flavor, not runny, and not too thick. The owner told us he cooks the spaghetti sauce for 4 hours. The meatballs were not under cooked or overcooked, with an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The cheese in the ravioli was to die for, just like the cheese my mother used to make in her authentic Italian manicotti. All the ingredients were fresh, including all the vegetables and side salad we had with our meal. At the end of our dinner, the owner of the restaurant brought us a special of his own making: Tuscany chicken pasta. Very nice guy, you can tell he is passionate about the work that he does. My wife was "full", but she could not get enough of the Tuscany chicken pasta he made for us. The sauce was creamy, full of flavor, and the chicken was divine: not too soft, not hard, just right. All the food we had was of exceptional quality: fresh, perfectly cooked, and chalked full of flavor. The owner recommends visiting during the week, not the weekend. It gets very busy on the weekend, and I could see that the restaurant is quaint and quite small. The atmosphere was perfect. We had a booth right in front of the restaurant window. It was not loud or crowded when we went, and I really appreciated all the dark colors used in the decor. The bathroom was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Everything at our table was very clean. A clean table is a big deal to me, and this place did not disappoint. All the dishes, silverware, and glasses were also clean. Sadly, at most restaurants, we have to ask for a clean something or other, but we did not have that problem here on Monday night.I hardly ever write reviews for anything, but this guy deserves it, his service was very personable and extremely friendly. I love to see anyone who is passionate about what they do, and he definitely fits the bill. That is probably why his restaurant and food is way above average. The experience was so exceptional, I felt like I was on one of those food traveling shows, being catered to like Feed Phil.Parking: We went on a Monday night, so there was plenty of parking available on the street in front of the restaurant.“
“Just had my engagement dinner here and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved the food, and they were beyond satisfied with the customer service because our waiters were so attentive and kind. I thought having a big party would cause an issue but they were on top of everything. Cosmo was very kind and helpful with everything from establishing a menu, to making sure the guests were taken care of. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.“
“I can't say enough good things about Mr G's pizza. The owners know how to make your experience an unforgettable one. I live in San Pedro and my mom lives in Diamond Bar. I gladly travel miles to taste their pizza and treat my mom to Mr G's whenever I can!! It is literally some of the best pizza I have tasted and wish they were located in the San Pedro area. The pizza dough is delicious and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. Their pizza sauce brings all the ingredients together in a way that makes their pizza's insatiable. I've literally had to make myself stop eating despite being full on many occasions, cause their pizza's are just that darn GOOD!!!“
“An extraordinary find! This winery's Sherry selection is unparalleled, and the staff's recommendations added a personal touch to the tasting experience. The ambiance, resembling a private estate, creates a charming atmosphere. The exclusive November Sherry sale adds an element of anticipation to this phenomenal, must-visit winery.“
“Best pizza since I was a child. Moved out of town but can't help to make a pit stop every time I'm near! They sell pizza by the slice and their sandwiches are just as bomb. Thank you for still existing Scardino's you are a neighborhood staple ✊???“
“Tucked away in the back corner of a strip mall in Hacienda Heights. This neighborhood gem Italian deli doesn't occupy a large space, but the space feels really efficient with a full service deli on one side and the other side having a place to order sandwiches/ prepared Italian foods with an area to sit. Like most Italian delis I've been to, this place sells a decent variety of market/ dry goods well. The prices here for the foods/ goods are more than reasonable and the overall place has that old school feel or at least the feel that this place has been here for quite a while. Came here on a rec from a coworker. Not sure if I was super hungry at the time, but I walked in greeted by friendly people and delicious smells coming from their hot dishes/ pastas. I ordered the Italian Grinder Sandwich (6 inch or regular size). Again, not sure if I was just particularly hungry at the time, but this sandwich was so fricken great. It had the classic Italian sub flavor profile and I though the bread they used was fantastic. Nice, soft and chewy with a nice firmness/crunch on the outside. The sandwich was more than enough. I actually was really tempted to buy some of the prepared pasta dishes to go for dinner (lasagna or baked rigatoni). Definitely would love to comeback to try some of my other classic fave sandwiches like chicken or eggplant parm. Or their Tuesday Guido sandwich special or pastrami sandwich. Parking was really easy to find because there is a pretty sizable lot relative to the traffic this place gets during the day.“
“First time here. Found this gem off Yelp and it did not disappoint! The owner knows how to serve delicious food! I was craving breakfast and my French toast combo was excellent! My son had the crispy chicken waffle sandwich and it looked great and he said it was really good. My daughter in love had the biscuits and gravy and I tried it as well -so flavorful!!! So do yourselves a favor and pay patronage to this local establishment! For those that remember the movie "Blood in, Blood out" he has a lot of movie memorabilia as decor so that was pretty cool as well!“
“NOTHIN' BETTER THAN 2 FIRM MEATY BALLS AND A THICK LONG SAUSAGE!!I'm a HUGE fan of the Old Spaghetti Factory!!! I've never been disappointed, since 1972, at the San Jose location (I was 4 years old)! Atmosphere, food and service have always been consistently great! This place is very nostalgic for me! (Even if it isn't the exact location as the one I visited as a kid(. Nothing but great memories! I was GIDDY when it was decided that we would be eating my "one meal" (I'm trying that stupid one meal a day diet /plan), at Spaghetti Factory!!!Today I enjoyed a large plate of the mouth watering Meat Lovers Treat! (See Photo). My BFF (she's also my Birthday Twin) Jennifer B., had a delicious and hearty plate of Chicken Parmigiana (see photo)! We were both delighted and thrilled with our meals! I'm very pleased that I chose to waste my calories on this meal!!! (Unlike my displeasure of wasting time as a kid, waiting for my father to pick me up for a visitation). For dessert we both chose my favorite ice cream; spumoni. Eating spumoni, gives me as much pleasure as listening to gossip about my previous bad bosses.Natalie was our wonderful server. She was as friendly as a Harikrishna and Jehovahs Witness at an airport! Very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Table runners were also attentive. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Of course I’ll be back! I’ve been enjoying Spaghetti Factory’s for 50 years!!!! MAMA PAJAMA!!!!“
“The pizza is amazing. Salads are OK. The wait staff is young... and often more interested in socializing with each other than taking care of customers. On my last visit our waiter forgot a number of things. Including to put our order in with the kitchen. We ended up being there for almost two hours. And no one apologized.“
“If you like Italian food, then you've got to stop here.I was going to try some of the pasta. However, they had a grilled chicken panini, which sounded amazing >And it Was !!!There were artichokes, the mozzarella was thick and fresh and the chicken was grilled perfectly with a fresh pesto sauce.I chose a side of shoestring french fries which you can get also garlic Style. And this location offers outside seating for a great atmosphere.“
“Besides the bfast brunch ending at 10am and I couldn’t sit and enjoy bfast at 945am I went back for lunch at 12pm. Lupe was my server he was super friendly and the staff was all very attentive and friendly. It was a great view I definitely recommend!“
“We have lived in West Covina for 8 years, every time we would go to Weinerschnitzel we would say let's try this place.. why did we wait so long!!!... we ordered the pesto chicken sandwich, bread tasted so fresh, pesto was delicious!, the margarita pizza was the best pizza I've had in a long time, and the Cobb salad was great! but the best part, we didn't know we could call ahead, so we were in the drive thru line quite a while, the person opened the window and gave each of us a salad and roll while we waited!... it was the avocado chicken salad!... it was delicious! This will be our go to place for Italian to go and the prices were very reasonable! Again why did we wait so long! Don't pass this place up!“
“It’s our first visit back in a long time. Kudos for the restaurant for supporting cancer awareness today, giving up 20% of the day’s receipts, in support. We ordered the antipasto salad, garlic bread and a medium pepperoni pizza. All ordered food was good, as expected.> The salad was good, the cheese was not shredded or cubed, but appears to be cut up slices (?).> Garlic bread with mildly garlic, fresh bread.> Pizza was thin crust, good pepperoni, not too greasy.Service was just OK, just wish they had allowed a time gap between salad and pizza service. Pizza was served too quickly, not allowing us to enjoy the salad, before it arrived. Background music was definitely tilted towards the younger generation, but the people who were there was the “senior” crowd. They should maybe rethink that.“
“I have loved this restaurant right after it first opened, with the original owner. Since then it has changed hands and the new owner has kept up its quality remarkably. Great menu and not bad pricing. It’s a cute space in Old Town Monrovia.“
“Cool old house with a lot of history. My chicken dish was good. My friend had the pork medallions, which were very dry. They were having a private party but were able to seat us immediately. They close early. We got there about 630 and by 830 they were shoeing us out.“
“We were very hungry, ordered delivery. I didn't know they delivered. The pepperoni pizza was good, good taste, good crust. The antipasto salad was good, although not really an antipasto. I ordered the meatballs and thought they were great. They came in a dish with marinara, onions, green peppers. The marinara was very flavorful. I put the garlic bread to good use by thoroughly cleaning the dish to get all the marinara. Less expensive Than ordering from Domino's, and much MUCH better. We've always like this place.“
“It was a very nice time for dinner. I met my family who were coming from Disney. Knowing that my family would be arriving tired from an all day Disney day, they immediately got us a table. Sure enough, as soon as I sat down, they arrived. The staff at this Olive Garden was VERY hospitable and accommodating. Thank you OLIVE GARDEN.“
“Out of the plenty of times that I've been to Olive garden today that the service from Zack and Jacob and another gentleman was extremely above and beyond. They made our birthday dinner. Such a wonderful experience. We need more waiters like them.Parking: Always more than enough parking. You may have to walk, but it's a short distance and it helps after eating all that delicious food.Kid-friendliness: I love that I can order for my kids before anyone else.“
“This is the best pizza I've ever ate. The plus part is that it's priced reasonably. They give you alot of toppings and it's cheesy. I just wish they would have one closer to where I live.Kid-friendliness: The ladies that work there are very respectful and kind. They are very hard workers. I hope this gives them a raise. Lol“
“Nice neighborhood Italian deli and fast casual restaurant. Really missed the original Lascari's on Whittier Blvd so we gave this deli location a try. Was surprised at the pasta and pizza options. The pasta dishes and chicken piccata were all pretty good. The minestrone soup is excellent. Pizza was also delicious. Large selection at the Deli. Great local place for a quick bite with reasonable prices.“
“2nd time ordering from Papa Pizza Pie for Superbowl Sunday. The place was overwhelmed with orders and drivers waiting for pickup. They handled the situation well with decent communication but did have to wait an extra ~30 mins to receive my pre-order from the night before. Pizza was good, Buffalo wings came dry with no seasoning (not sure if this was an error in the Slice app that I used to order as preferred method from their website) and French fries were flavorless. Our previous experience was fantastic with great tasting food and value as my brother-in-law said it was probably the best vegan pizza he's ever tasted. Hoping this was a one time glitch and we'll give them another try in the future but will likely just stick with the pizza.“
“Was craving some New York pizza with ricotta and found this spot. Unassuming location doesn't do the food justice. The pizza was great! Very reasonably priced. I've got the menu handy on my fridge for the next craving. We preordered using the online service which was quick and easy. Food ready when we got there. Could see going and sitting in just to get a quiet moment away from more crowded spots. They have a great lunch special for under $10.“
“We decided to shake things up this Christmas by ordering dinner from Palermo, and boy, are we glad we did! We went for the Prime Rib and Ham single dinners, and let me tell you, the portions were massive! The Prime Rib was perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes and green beans were cooked to perfection--absolutely delicious. As for the ham, it was succulent and not dry at all. The sides complemented it beautifully. Now, let's talk dessert. The German Chocolate Cake and Red Velvet were a delightful way to end the meal--moist and flavorful.Overall, Palermo delivered a Christmas dinner that was not only filling but also incredibly tasty. We're already counting down the days to order our New Year's dinner.“
“This is my favorite place to eat in Rowland area. The food is always on point. I believe it's one of the best Cantonese cafes in all of SGV. My favorite item to order here is the mushroom truffle pizza. Their pizzas are so good. The dough is crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. They use enough cheese and are generous with the mushrooms. I also love their fillet mignon and shrimp as well as their chicken steak meals. All the food is really fresh and quick. They are packed every day during lunch and dinner times so definitely try to come early and get a seat!“
“I love Olive Garden. It's such a great place for a large group or a couple. I come here very often with my 92 year old mom. She loves the specials and is always willing to try their featured margarita. Today our server was Elsa, she was delightful and catered to my Moms requests like a true professional. We had the calamari, artichoke dip along with bottomless soup and salad. My Mom had the scampi and as always took some home. Olive Garden still has the small plates Togo. The small plate to go will make a great lunch for my honey!! Good eats. Thank you Elsa for your quick attention to detail and responsiveness. 555“
“We were in the mood for Italian food and decided to try Allegro in La Verne for first time. It was by far the best Italian food we have had. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The service was excellent, Nicky was great! There is plenty of free parking. The food was outstanding. From the bruschetta, to the meatball trio, to the pastas and desserts…amazing!“
“I've been going here for a few years. My pizzas always have large helpings of toppings. The sausage pieces are larger and seem fresher than than the small ones that you get at some of the chain shops. The vegetables are good also. Staff is friendly.“
“I love this place. I have been ordering food here for years. Everything that I have tried from their menu is delicious. The staff has always been friendly. The only thing that frustrates me are the hours. I can never seem to catch when it is open anymore. Also wish they would take orders to go again.“
“You're not going to be disappointed with their food... the pizza tastes as good as Rios pizza in Montebello, their wings are better than wing stop. The owner is very nice and has a great sense of humor. Just get there and enjoy... bon appetite.“
“Such a diamond in the rough! Please don’t let the shabby strip mall fool you! Once you enter the restaurant, you will be transported to a beautifully lit, fine dining restaurant, at a fraction of the cost. Our server was perfectly attentive, the ambiance was superb, the food was impeccable, and the owner, Gabriel, was warm and welcoming. And the coffee is amazing!I will definitely be returning soon!“
“First time here. We saw a review on facebook and decided to try it out. Very small place but cute. We walked in and was left standing not knowing if we sit ourself and there were several tables that needed to be cleaned off. An elderly lady looked at us and did not acknowledge us so I said, shall we seat ourselfs? The lady was the owner Angela, which seemed like she was taking orders, serving and making food. We sat down with no menus and my husband had to get up and go to the counter and Angela just said can I help you? Wow. We never even got our water until 1/2 hour later. We sat at a table next to the womens bathroom and the area smelled a little of sewer which was not enjoyable. Finally she took our order. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and shared a antipasta salad which was very good and the pizza was good. My hubby ordered to go an sausage & pepper sandwich. The sandwich not so good. It was very salty and the sausage tasted old. Service was extremely slow. We are not sure if we will give it another try or not based on our experience.“
“Great food, basic but attentive service. We ordered a large steak for him and vegetarian pasta for me, ordered margaritas and got away with a bill under $125, with plenty of leftovers. Atmosphere is ok, depending on the day. Sometimes a bit crowded and noisy feeling - mid scale. Children welcome. Make reservations and request a booth to minimize the noise. All in all, the food and price are well worth it. Our go to spot for Valentine's Day the last 3 years running!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pasta options available, salad options, but pretty typical meat and seafood Italian menu.Kid-friendliness: Always kids in there when I go.“
“Found this random food truck driving home … looked like a genuine Italian family making these pizzas . They were very nice ! There were people in line before us and after too so it seems pretty popular!! They made the pizza really quickly - made to order ! We ordered the pesto and the margerita pizza . It was a good portion . Fresh and looked pretty ! The flavors were good - it was a nice simple pizza“
