“We were in the mood for Italian food and decided to try Allegro in La Verne for first time. It was by far the best Italian food we have had. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The service was excellent, Nicky was great! There is plenty of free parking. The food was outstanding. From the bruschetta, to the meatball trio, to the pastas and desserts…amazing!“
“I've been going here for a few years. My pizzas always have large helpings of toppings. The sausage pieces are larger and seem fresher than than the small ones that you get at some of the chain shops. The vegetables are good also. Staff is friendly.“
“The pizza’s are beautiful and delicious. We had ordered the Alfredo pizza around Aug. or Sept. of last year and we were disappointed with the change in recipe. We recently came back and ordered it again and were pleasantly surprised. The crust is even better than before and the Alfredo sauce recipe has elevated as well.We were one of three large parties there last week on a Thursday night. May and her husband were friendly, gracious and attentive as physically possible with a little help later in the evening.Kristen is always a friendly and attentive server as well but we missed her the last two times. We’ll be back“
“Found this random food truck driving home … looked like a genuine Italian family making these pizzas . They were very nice ! There were people in line before us and after too so it seems pretty popular!! They made the pizza really quickly - made to order ! We ordered the pesto and the margerita pizza . It was a good portion . Fresh and looked pretty ! The flavors were good - it was a nice simple pizza“
“Dad's birthday was made extra special by the folks at Spaggi's. Started with the tomato puff pastry which is our favorite. The cheese sauce is habit forming and would be delicious on an amazon box. Henry sent out a gnocchi appetizer that was also incredible. Very lite, delicate gnocchi with a tomato and pesto sauce. We split two entrees between three people and had some left over to take home. Veal Florentine was a special for the night. Very hard to find veal around here, Spaggi's always has an incredible Osso Bucco, but if you want veal cutlets, there are not many places. These were very good, topped with prosciutto and spinach with an elegant wine sauce. We also got the steak and lobster. Both cooked perfectly and were delicious. They brought out a dessert for dads bday and we added one as well. A fantastic experience with great service and we got to talk with the owners Anna and Henry.“
“I am very picky with pizza, but this place definitely made my top 3 list. The kids all enjoyed it! The fries tasted like curly fries and were delicious! The cheese on the pizza was stretchy and the pizza sauce was delicious! I usually don't eat my pizza crust either but here i enjoyed it. The staff was all very nice and courteous even when our son dropped his drink under the table. The place itself is an old building which is beautiful and in a cute little part of town with many other shops. We will definitely be coming back!!!!“
“I love the NY style pizza here and come in for a slice from time to time. In recent years the crust has gotten even better. The pasta with marinara sauce is a good deal too. Flavorful and good sized portion. Way better than take out from Vince's Spaghetti. Recently I was at San Biaggio and decided to try the hot pastrami sub. It was excellent! I had gotten a cold meat sub from this place several years ago and wasn't impressed with it. But the hot pastrami with mustard and pickles is wonderful. They are generous with the meat and it is very lean, good quality pastrami. Better than the quality you can get at The Hat these days in my opinion. I hope this place remains in business for a lot longer. It's a great local option for decent quality food. And the people working there are nice.“
“This is maybe the third time I've came here for their fried chicken; it is amazing! Their service is always flawless and it is paired with a calm and confident ambiance. OWD takes their food seriously! My wife and I got the 20 piece chicken paired with some pizza. The smell of the chicken will get you fighting to grab the first piece! Let's not even start talking about their jalapeño cheese bread.“
“The food was amazing! My husband and I had the Mostalagna dinner with meat sauce. Soooooo good. Salad bread and soup were also delicious!! We had a very large party and were seated fairly quickly (within 45 minutes), and the service was fast and accurate. Food came out hot for everyone. Would definitely recommend this place and will go back again to try other menu items.“
“It's the best! I've been to MANY places in California that claim to be NY-style. Some even have New York in their name. But none of them come close to really tasting like NY pizza except for San Biagio ! It's a little bit expensive but worth it !!“
“Just had my engagement dinner here and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved the food, and they were beyond satisfied with the customer service because our waiters were so attentive and kind. I thought having a big party would cause an issue but they were on top of everything. Cosmo was very kind and helpful with everything from establishing a menu, to making sure the guests were taken care of. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.“
“Located in Upland, this Italian market and deli is a culinary haven for lovers of Italian cuisine. Stocked with everything needed to create authentic dishes, from imported ingredients to premade frozen meals and freshly prepared dishes like eggplant parmigiana. The market also offers a delightful selection of Italian cookies and pastries. With a friendly and helpful staff, as well as an impressive deli section featuring Italian meats and cheeses, it's no wonder this market has captured my heart.“
“I can't say enough good things about Mr G's pizza. The owners know how to make your experience an unforgettable one. I live in San Pedro and my mom lives in Diamond Bar. I gladly travel miles to taste their pizza and treat my mom to Mr G's whenever I can!! It is literally some of the best pizza I have tasted and wish they were located in the San Pedro area. The pizza dough is delicious and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. Their pizza sauce brings all the ingredients together in a way that makes their pizza's insatiable. I've literally had to make myself stop eating despite being full on many occasions, cause their pizza's are just that darn GOOD!!!“
“My wife and I went here for the first time Monday night 03/18/24. This place has the best pasta I have ever had at a restaurant, simply amazing! For an appetizer we had the bruschetta. This has to be the best bruschetta I have ever had, hands down. It was very crispy, not under cooked or overcooked, with balsamic vinegar and oil, topped with the freshest and firmest tomato's. Highly recommend. For drinks we had a glass of chianti and ice tea, the chianti was the best I have ever tasted. For the main dinner entrees we had spaghetti and meatballs (marinara sauce, not meat sauce), and the half and half, which consists of spaghetti with marinara sauce and ravioli. There has never been an italian restaurant I have ever been to, that cooks spaghetti noodles correctly. The noodles were firm, not mushy, and not hard. It's difficult to make noodles like this, we cook them at home to be firm but not hard, but I have never been to a restaurant that properly cooks their noodles like this. Just outstanding! The spaghetti sauce was also amazing, lots of flavor, not runny, and not too thick. The owner told us he cooks the spaghetti sauce for 4 hours. The meatballs were not under cooked or overcooked, with an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The cheese in the ravioli was to die for, just like the cheese my mother used to make in her authentic Italian manicotti. All the ingredients were fresh, including all the vegetables and side salad we had with our meal. At the end of our dinner, the owner of the restaurant brought us a special of his own making: Tuscany chicken pasta. Very nice guy, you can tell he is passionate about the work that he does. My wife was "full", but she could not get enough of the Tuscany chicken pasta he made for us. The sauce was creamy, full of flavor, and the chicken was divine: not too soft, not hard, just right. All the food we had was of exceptional quality: fresh, perfectly cooked, and chalked full of flavor. The owner recommends visiting during the week, not the weekend. It gets very busy on the weekend, and I could see that the restaurant is quaint and quite small. The atmosphere was perfect. We had a booth right in front of the restaurant window. It was not loud or crowded when we went, and I really appreciated all the dark colors used in the decor. The bathroom was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Everything at our table was very clean. A clean table is a big deal to me, and this place did not disappoint. All the dishes, silverware, and glasses were also clean. Sadly, at most restaurants, we have to ask for a clean something or other, but we did not have that problem here on Monday night.I hardly ever write reviews for anything, but this guy deserves it, his service was very personable and extremely friendly. I love to see anyone who is passionate about what they do, and he definitely fits the bill. That is probably why his restaurant and food is way above average. The experience was so exceptional, I felt like I was on one of those food traveling shows, being catered to like Feed Phil.Parking: We went on a Monday night, so there was plenty of parking available on the street in front of the restaurant.“
“3/19I wanted to give an update, and say thank you to New York pizzeria for being so awesome, today we went in with our softball team and one of our players has a few allergies they were wonderful and accommodated to her needs and super polite about us requesting certain things! Thank you so much you made mom’s day! This is by bar my favorite pizza joint ever! I love the pizza here. It’s a fun spot as well. They have a ton of Yankees memorabilia all over the restaurant. They have a small spot for arcade games.I don’t know why I took so long to write this review since sirve been coming here for the past 3 years that my kids started to play little league.Pizza is just so tasty I love how it’s cheesy and when you pull a slice off the cheese is oozing out. I normally get really bad stomach aches from different pizza spots because of the the spices in the pizza sauce but this one is just perfect!I’ve had the hot wings those are delicious as well but so damn spicy. It’s no wonder they were rated best pizza in chino for 5 years in a row and I come from south Ontario and for me it’s the best pizza ever!“
“Good is a hidden gem in a town of overcrowded mediocre food. The food is too notch. No reheated low quality food. This prices should be double considering what other places charge for much worse food.Make a reservation to avoid a wait.Service was friendly.Highly recommend for actual Italian food made with fresh California ingredients that are in season.“
“I fortunately found Padua Pasta Makers by accident. When I needed an Italian Market that was open in the late afternoon on Valentine's Day, and when all Claro's Italian Market locations were closed, I decided to drive 30 minutes out of the way to give Padua Pasta Makers a try. And I am so glad I did! I had the opportunity to try their cheese ravioli and pizza dough, and it was by far the very best ravioli and pizza dough I ever tried. I look forward to going back to discover more. If anyone is considering giving Padua Pasta Makers a try, you will not regret it.“
“My go-to place for Italian subs. ??I announce the motocross races here in Southern California and I always have to have Claro's up in the tower when I'm on the mic. ??I get the spicy Mike large and I have them swap out the ghost pepper jack with manchego cuz I'm digging sheep and goat cheese right now. It's fantastic either way. ??There's plenty of parking at this location and they're not stingy with the portions. The staff is extremely friendly and they have lots of goodies in the market to browse and try. Today I brought home an Italian artisan beer and I have to say it is fantastic. Mastri Birrai Umbri IPA. ?Ask for Kathy, Paloma, or Cecilia (aka Cici). ??“
“If you like Italian food, then you've got to stop here.I was going to try some of the pasta. However, they had a grilled chicken panini, which sounded amazing >And it Was !!!There were artichokes, the mozzarella was thick and fresh and the chicken was grilled perfectly with a fresh pesto sauce.I chose a side of shoestring french fries which you can get also garlic Style. And this location offers outside seating for a great atmosphere.“
“An extraordinary find! This winery's Sherry selection is unparalleled, and the staff's recommendations added a personal touch to the tasting experience. The ambiance, resembling a private estate, creates a charming atmosphere. The exclusive November Sherry sale adds an element of anticipation to this phenomenal, must-visit winery.“
“A friend of mine had told me about the Upland pizza company., Heard good things about it so we decided to give it a try.Ordered the pepperoni-jalapeño, and the Hawaiian, brought it home for a family gathering, everybody enjoyed the pizza it was delicious!!I found out they only use the best and fresh ingredients, can’t wait to get back and get some more pizzas.!!!!!!Parking: Location, access good, plenty of spots to park“
“Went to Giovanni's to celebrate my wife's birthday. Decided to keep it local and came here for the 1st time. We really enjoyed the food and service here, the lobster ravioli was delicious, the clam linguine was good too! Our server was great and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. If your in downtown Covina this place is a gem. Definitely recommend Giovanni's for a nice dinner. Btw the cocktails were ??“
“Hole in the wall kind of place that's been there for a long time. Solid old school Italian food and menu selection. The meat sauce is very good and the garlic knots are delicious. Reasonably priced for quantity and quality especially in today's economy.“
“We ordered takeout. Food was ready on time, they even called us to make sure we were picking up. The pizza, wings, and garlic sticks were all good! This will be our place to go while we are in the area...or take a 20 minute drive to sit inside the restaurant. Busy, but friendly.“
“What a gem that my wife and I stumbled on. We were going to Claro's for some lunch but they are closed on Wednesdays . We looked around and saw this place. What an amazing place !! Clean , Friendly and most of all delicious. Claro's lost but Fratellos gain. We had an Italian sub and a meatball sandwich . I haven't a better sub or meatball sandwich EVER. We found out new go to when at times we struggle to think of places to eat. We are hooked . Thanks Claros.“
“If you have not been here yet, you definitely need to. Every time I am in the area, I try to stop by.Everything I have tried, from the coffees, pastries, and meals, have been a 10/10!My go to for breakfast is the Linguisa Omelet with homemade breakfast potatoes....tasty and filling. The atmosphere here is great, friendly and welcoming staff, and a great place to meet for a business meeting or just an afternoon break.“
“We have lived in West Covina for 8 years, every time we would go to Weinerschnitzel we would say let's try this place.. why did we wait so long!!!... we ordered the pesto chicken sandwich, bread tasted so fresh, pesto was delicious!, the margarita pizza was the best pizza I've had in a long time, and the Cobb salad was great! but the best part, we didn't know we could call ahead, so we were in the drive thru line quite a while, the person opened the window and gave each of us a salad and roll while we waited!... it was the avocado chicken salad!... it was delicious! This will be our go to place for Italian to go and the prices were very reasonable! Again why did we wait so long! Don't pass this place up!“
“Best pizza and wings around!! Who needs to waste money at WingStop?!! Been coming here for years, and is still the go to. Even w all those fancy wings spots. No one compares to the quality and great customer service this place does. Dont spend your money anywhere else! This place is it!“
“Besides the bfast brunch ending at 10am and I couldn’t sit and enjoy bfast at 945am I went back for lunch at 12pm. Lupe was my server he was super friendly and the staff was all very attentive and friendly. It was a great view I definitely recommend!“
“We ordered through DoorDash. One make your own pizza with 3 toppings and one cheesy bread order. The total was pricy around $46. The pizza was delicious and all my family members liked it. Although I would have to admit the crest was too thick.“
“My wife and I love this restaurant. The gluten free pasta is her favorite of any place she's been and the servers are so friendly. The gluten free pizza is awesome too. You really can't go wrong with anything on.The atmosphere is so calm and beautiful. Literally nothing I've eaten their has disappointed me.“
“I ate here multiple times and every time the food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. The menu has something for everyone, whether you prefer mexican or italian cuisine, or both. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I would highly recommend Panzarello’s (and especially the loaded fries with extra cheese).“
“I’ve been passing by this place for years and today I come to find out I regret it very much, this is probably one of the best Pizza ? places in the Inland Empire don’t believe me try it out yourself, you won’t regret it’s BOMB ? this DELICIOUS ? Pizza I will be coming back for very soon. I would post the pizza but once I took the first bite I couldn’t stop eating.Vegetarian options: Yes.Parking: Plenty of parking. Next to StarbucksWheelchair accessibility: Yes will be off the right when you’re entering parking lot.“
“Cool old house with a lot of history. My chicken dish was good. My friend had the pork medallions, which were very dry. They were having a private party but were able to seat us immediately. They close early. We got there about 630 and by 830 they were shoeing us out.“
“This is the best pizza I've ever ate. The plus part is that it's priced reasonably. They give you alot of toppings and it's cheesy. I just wish they would have one closer to where I live.Kid-friendliness: The ladies that work there are very respectful and kind. They are very hard workers. I hope this gives them a raise. Lol“
“The food was great! The pizza had a little too much grease for my taste, but the flavor and taste were delicious. The price is about what you would expect from similar places. Nice and clean inside. The staff were attentive and courteous. Able to watch the football game and still have a good conversation at the table. Would recommend it!“
“Always a wonderful experience - the dishes are unique but not too far off from traditional. The zucca ravioli is amazing, lots of care goes into their recipes and you can taste it. Restaurant is clean and classy. Having our company Christmas party there next week - I'm sure it will be wonderful!“
“This place has great sandwiches. Although the selection is very limited, the quality definitely makes up for it. Another plus is that you can buy your own ingredients and take them with you to make your own creations at home. What really surprised me is how great the pizza is. If I had one complaint, it would be how pickled the pizza tastes with jalapeños on it. Maybe easy on the jalapeños? If you love meat on pizza, though....this is the place to go in Covina. It's just a shame they took down the signs about not putting onions in their sandwiches and removing the pacman game from the first table in the dining area. Those were nice little touches that gave the place a particular charm I very miss.- Dip your pastrami if you want a jucier sandwich.- If you want mustard or mayo, you have to ask for it.- Try it the way they make it before deciding to customize.“
“I was in town and a friend referred me to Cannataros. I wasn't sure what to expect. The restaurant is small and in a crowded compex. However, the food was amazing (I ordered the Chicken parm) and even better my waitress (Carrie) spent time with us and made us feel like family. Even though it was busy, we never felt rushed and were brought everything for our meal timely and with a smile. A hidden gem.“
“Our family decided to dine here at the last minute on a Friday evening. The wait wasn't too long, the food was delicious, and our waitress was amazing! Shout out to Katie for a great dining experience. She was very attentive and she engaged with our 5 year and he LOVED it! Thank you, Katie and team for a wonderful evening.“
“I recently moved to the area with my elderly immigrant mother. This establishment is a walkable distance from our home, so she entered on her own to order food one day when I was at work. The pizza was absolutely outstanding in both price and taste (Nonno's Special, Large) but I also want to highlight the service. My mother said the workers were among the kindest she has ever met. She often encounters frustration and rudeness because she has bad hearing and limited English abilities. I am deeply grateful for the workers at Nonno's who treated her with compassion and patience, as well as recommended a delicious pizza. Needless to say, we will be back. Thank you!“
“We decided to shake things up this Christmas by ordering dinner from Palermo, and boy, are we glad we did! We went for the Prime Rib and Ham single dinners, and let me tell you, the portions were massive! The Prime Rib was perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes and green beans were cooked to perfection--absolutely delicious. As for the ham, it was succulent and not dry at all. The sides complemented it beautifully. Now, let's talk dessert. The German Chocolate Cake and Red Velvet were a delightful way to end the meal--moist and flavorful.Overall, Palermo delivered a Christmas dinner that was not only filling but also incredibly tasty. We're already counting down the days to order our New Year's dinner.“
“It’s our first visit back in a long time. Kudos for the restaurant for supporting cancer awareness today, giving up 20% of the day’s receipts, in support. We ordered the antipasto salad, garlic bread and a medium pepperoni pizza. All ordered food was good, as expected.> The salad was good, the cheese was not shredded or cubed, but appears to be cut up slices (?).> Garlic bread with mildly garlic, fresh bread.> Pizza was thin crust, good pepperoni, not too greasy.Service was just OK, just wish they had allowed a time gap between salad and pizza service. Pizza was served too quickly, not allowing us to enjoy the salad, before it arrived. Background music was definitely tilted towards the younger generation, but the people who were there was the “senior” crowd. They should maybe rethink that.“
