“I haven’t been to Olive Garden in a long time, but my uncle invited us to come back and try the pasta because he highly recommended it.
There were five of us, and most of us don’t eat very much. Our server was very friendly and clearly explained the specials and menu options to us. We ended up ordering only four dishes to share, and it was more than enough for everyone! We were all super full and even had leftovers to take home.
My favorite was the Chicken Alfredo with the creamy sauce was so good! 😋 The portions were generous, the service was great, and we really enjoyed our meal.
Definitely worth coming back again!“

The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “Had to stop by my favorite Italian grubbin in the heart of Old Town Pasadena all the way from Boise. This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.“

“What a discovery!!! Trattoria Daly is great! In fact it's a real "find" in Lincoln Heights-- just east of downtown but totally convenient. So nice to be in a non-corporate friendly setting in a restaurant run by great people who care about their customers and are proud of what they offer. This neighborhood gem will attract foodies and friends and harkens the beginning of a mini-restaurant row near downtown, Keck Hospital, Dodger Stadium, among other neighborhoods in various directions. The owners were for many years part of the team at Pacific Dining Car-- these guys are well acquainted with high end service and food. What they've established in the past six months, is a friendly local spot with top quality food and service-- for unbelievably reasonable prices. The bill of fare is Italian-- excellent starters, super pastas, and entree's like rib-eye steak, salmon. You can also do a simple pizza night-- or make it a special occasion. I've spent a LOT of time in Italy, and I'm picky about Italian food. This is an excellent kitchen! The general atmosphere is like a "discovery" of that little off the beaten track gem. But word must have gotten out-- when we dined there on a Sunday night, the place was hopping! The visible to the house skilled kitchen was keeping up with the crowd of happy diners. Two decades of Pacific Dining Car (which didn't survive covid) made these guys the pros they are. You shouldn't have to "sell a kidney" to eat well-- and this place is proof. They are in process and waiting for their liquor license -- but you can bring your own vino-- (or pick up something at the Smart & Final down the street.) It's great to see professionals who are really good guys stir up the right ingredients-- warmth, welcome, excellent food, and outstanding service, and ample evidence that the American dream is still alive. “My daughter took her dad here for father's day. It was a great vibe, we sat outdoors, they had tv so he could watch the word cup. The food and drink orders came out in pretty quickly. I had the wings in hot honey bbq, my husband had the meatball sub which came with fries and our daughter had a 10 inch pizza, which took longer but the freshness, flavor, and quality of the meal was there.“

Sadly, it does not work as well in all locations - our visits to the Pasadena location always led to disappointments. Worse: many communications were exchanged, which led nowhere (and we never went again). I highly recommend this particular UOVO. Why "only" four out of five stars then? I do n to like to be bullshitted. They strive that they are a "no-tipping" restaurant as they properly pay their employees - which sounds amazing, in every aspect. Then they charge you an extra 16% "fee". C'mon guys. No one likes to be bullshitted. You offer an excellent deal for Wonderfull food. If you like to keep the "no-tip-strategy" raise food and drinks by a dollar or two. No one would complain.“

“Such a hidden gem in Pasadena! The Italian Deli Co. has everything you could want from a great Italian restaurant. The food was delicious—I had the pecan, peach & goat cheese salad and the truffle ravioli, and both were excellent. They also have a wonderful wine selection.

The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, with that personal, family-run, mom-and-pop feel that’s becoming so hard to find. There was live music when we visited, which made the experience even better, and the restaurant itself is modern, beautiful, and has such a lovely atmosphere.

“I arrived during a week day for lunch with my dear friend who lives within walking distance. I was pleasantly surprised with quality and good tasting food. I had the egg plant sandwich's lunch special and salad, very good. The owner/waiter and wife were very nice and friendly, everyone that was there were return customers and very familiar with restaurant, it had family atmosphere. The only thing that drew me back was its dark colors, the room needs a little lighter color. The chief lived in Italy and Paris where he learn to cook, I thought it was very interesting because originally he is from El Salvador so that’s where he gets his Latin infusion. Prices were affordable.“

“Let me first say that we reside in Tarzana so when our friend who lives in Sherman Oaks told us that they selected a restaurant in Sierra Madre for the four of us to try I thought he was insane. Then I thought we were just going as a novelty as my wife’s name is Bess. Boy was I wrong! Bess is not only a wonderful wife of almost 36 years but Bess is a fabulous restaurant in Sierra Madre. Not only were we new to Bess the restaurant but also to the charming community it sits in. Bottom line the four of us all ordered different entrees and they were all consistently fantastic. My wife and I also ordered the broccolini as a starter. Perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful with a tad of heat. The Caesar salad may have been the best I have ever eaten. The mushroom cavatappi was out of this world. The lasagna, a signature dish, was fabulous. And the chicken Parmesan was bordering on perfect. To finish our evening we had a “secret” dessert of a peanut butter moose, layered with chocolate, whipped cream in a traditional pie setting. Wow!! The physical space is charming if not a little deceiving. The front of the restaurant has limited seating but there is an entire back area that looked like it was twice the size of the front. The service staff were consistently helpful and charming. I could go on and on… just go. Life’s short. Great food is one of the joys of life. Bess did not let us down. So much so that, even though it sounds crazy, we intend to venture back from the West Valley. I “only” gave it 5 stars. I wish I could have gone to 10. Bravo Bess. Both the restaurant and my wife!!!“

“This restaurant might not look like an Italian restaurant from the outside but it the food is amazing. My favorite is the fettuccine Alfredo very creamy and the sauce is made in house. Pannacotta desert is also one of the best one I tried. We will definitely be returning.“
